Has Bing come down with the same "bug" that infected Google for so long -- the one that censored negative searches about Islam?
Try it yourself: go to Bing and type in "Jews are." One suggested completion of the phrase will show up:

Now type in "Christians are," and you'll get two suggestions:

But if you type in "Muslims are," you get no hint that they are evil, pumpkin-like, or stupid. You get nothing at all:

So once again possible negative suggestions are filtered out for the world's most thin-skinned and lethal religious believers -- the ones waging a global campaign against free speech about the aspects of their religion that incite and justify violence and supremacism. What a coincidence!
For more on Bing, see here.
(Thanks to Richard for the heads-up.)
Not necessarily. If you type in "Islam is"
You’d see some suggestions as well; Such as "Islam is evil" , "Islam is a lie" and "Islam is of the devil" etc...
Hey Microsoft, filter this!
Muslim Commandments - Thou shall rape, Thou shall kill, Thou shall terrorize, etc.

Perhaps Microsoft need to look at their own principles.
Is Bing compliant with these? I don't see Islamic filtering as an option and it's certainly not compatible with freedom of speech.
They should rename Bing to the "Allah Search Engine" - because Allah always knows best.
Allah controls the internet......!
Or maybe the left??????????
Meanwhile, the self-important globo-socialist billionaires running Google have threatened to take a stand against Red China's ham handed demand for censorship in the Celestial Kingdom.

Oh, the cruel irony.
Microsoft is so stupid and coward, look on the stupid Windows Vista/7
Are not many, or most of these computer programmers Mohammedans from India or Pakistan?
Try typing in "Islam is" or "Christianity is". You do get "Evil" when you type "Islam is".
Try typing "men are." Law of Taquiyya leads me to believe it is a man behind this.
I get negative things when I type in "Islam is..." Some of the results are Islam is evil and Islam is a lie.
No such nonsense with Yahoo Search.
Suggestions include:
muslims are trouble
muslims are hypocrites
muslims are backward
muslims are good
Muslims are intimidating...to search engines
I don't think this constitutes evidence of a deliberate censorship for protection of Islam and Muslims, but it is worth raising the question.
The absence of automatic suggestions for the search phrase "Muslims are" must be seen in light of the fact that, currently, the following search phrases also show no suggestions on Bing:
Hindus are
Buddhists are
atheists are
agnostics are
theists are
deists are
Also, in light of the fact that the "Islam is" search on Bing yields negative suggestions (e.g., is evil), it seems unlikely that this "Muslims are" case indicates censorship of search phrases critical of Islam or Muslims.
Muslims are the most sensitive people on this planet. In what way you criticise them, even if it's only mild, they'll always feel offended. I often wonder "Do they even know what it feels like not to feel offended?" If you want to say anything about them you better book a sensitivity course first and talk to your lawyer, might save you a lot of trouble.
I switched to Bing from Google after the "Islam is" thing, and now Bing's up to shenanigans! Jeesh. I'm kinda back to Google because I'm addicted to the Street View feature. Oh well, I guess for me it's all I can do to just be aware of it and take note. Or perhaps I should stop worrying about it, give up and just submit?
I mean hit the submit BUTTON. ;-)
Robert, someday I hope you can have that changed to "OK" or "GO" or something!
Kinana of Khaybar, useful post, thanks.
Yahoo also significantly censors muslim critique. I gave up trying to participate in their yahoo answers . Every time anything even tangentially referring to islam, or muslims in nota perfect light, the question or comment would not be accepted and removed . Whereas criticism of Christians was always allowed. One more manifesation of the liberal-left-muslim axis of evil.
Also criticism of obama was usually not allowed and one would commonly be given the false racist label .
These search engines are practicing agenda driven selective censorship which is an abomination to freedom of speech and our constitution. I cannot believe this is happening in our time here in America
"Christians are like pumpkins?"
What's that supposed to mean?!
"If I were a pumpkin,
Ya ha deedle deedle
Bubba bubba
Deedle deedle dum......"
Interestingly, the first time I keyed in "Muslims are" at Bing, a number of pjoratives showed up on the 1st page. That was 2 hours ago. Now i keyed the same words in again, and it's sugar and spice.
I emailed Bing to say that it was precisely because Google was doing this with reswpect to global warming and Islam and perhaps other pet cases, I switched to Bing. And now i may we well switch back. perhaps others ought to do the same.
CHRISTIAN PUMPKIN RAGE AKBAR!
If you click on the site that says 'Christians are pumpkins' you will find a Christian site with this little message on it:
A woman was asked by a co-worker,
"What is it like to be a Christian?"
The co-worker replied,
"It is like being a pumpkin.
God picks you from the patch,
brings you in, and washes all the dirt off of you.
Then he cuts off the top and scoops out all the yucky stuff.
He removes the seeds of doubt, hate, greed, etc.,
and then He carves you a new smiling face
and puts His light inside of you to shine for all the world to see."
God's Light
I had never looked at it like this before.
This was passed on to me from another pumpkin.
Now, it is your turn to pass it to one of your pumpkin friends.
Also, the 'Christianity is evil' links to another Christian site. So it's not about being anti-Christian.
