Yet another U.S.-born Muslim in Yemen fighting against his native country. Why is it that all those moderate and peaceful American mosques are doing such a miserable job teaching Islam to Muslim converts? "FBI Probes N.J. Man Linked to Al Qaeda, Hospital Attack in Yemen," from FoxNews, March 11:
A suspected Al Qaeda militant who was known as a "sweetheart" by classmates at his New Jersey high school is being investigated by the FBI after his arrest in the Middle East for allegedly trying to shoot his way out of a hospital in Yemen.Federal sources confirmed that 26-year-old Sharif Mobley, of Buena, N.J., is in custody after a shooting rampage in a Yemeni hospital that killed one guard and injured another.
FBI spokesman Rich Wolf in Baltimore said the agency is looking into the case. Mobley was reportedly being held prisoner in the hospital and was caught after a chase following the shooting....
"A suspected Al Qaeda militant who was known as a "sweetheart" by classmates"
In the same way that "nice" people can join the armed forces and become soldiers for their country killing if necessary, Muslims can join the Islamic Jihad and fight and kill for their nation of Islam. It is totally beside the point that this fellow was considered a sweetheart by classmates. The presumption in that comment is that only "mean" people or people who somehow give off signals that they are not right would join in the fight for their nation, Islam. Just as in any war, there are "nice" people fighting on both sides. Infidels in the West need to figure out quick that the enemy is not "mean" people but Islam.

Perhaps there should be a qualifying exam for the clerics, to be conducted by western intelligencia and media who are, as we all know, the real experts on Islam.
On a more serious note, the perception needs to be dispelled among the general population and the western intellectual leadership that the mosques are some sort of religious places where people pray for peace (in our sense of the term) and where sermons of goodwill are preached, like in churches. The mosques are fortresses of Islam, the command, control and communication centres, where the warriors of Islam are systematically brainwashed into hatred against the non-Muslims and from where they regularly emerge and spread out into the unsuspecting, innocent populations of friendly natives who have no clue about the fate these secret warriors have in mind for them.
OT some shocking videos.
When the muhammadans roit it looks like this? Look at the innocent han chinese people being beaten and stoned to death by the muslim roiters in the roits that shook Urumqi, Xinjiang, China during july 2009.Uygur mobs killed hundreds of Han Chinese. This is what happens as they get stronger in any place. Watch the women also participating in jihad(inner struggle-PC MC BS).

Not entirely OT, the Guardian, of all papers, has several useful background pieces on Yemen. Though neither the 'I' word nor the 'M' word rate a mention, the reader is left with the strong impression that this helpless and hopeless Arab country is yet another Muslim disaster about to implode, then explode. Utterly beyond the Guardian's narrow ideological vision, the clear conclusion is that, absent abundant oil or talented and taxable dhimmis, the tribalism, Islamic mentality, governance, and way of life guarantee the continued production of such dysfunctional societies and failed states.

Key questions: what will rich Arab neighbours now do? what will Western states do and for what reasons?
The next UNDP Arab Human Development Report should make interesting reading.
Too bad there is no mention of the Islamic fort in New Jersey he was stationed at while stateside. How many others are in this boot camp ready to go overseas for their advanced training?
