Lagos -- The Sultan of Sokoto and President, Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) Alhaji Saad Abubakar has said it is not right to generalise the entire Muslims as terrorists whenever an individual among them does something wrong.Sultan Abubakar, who spoke in Lagos at a fund raiser for the Najah Joint Muslim Organizations (NAJOMO) mosque at the weekend, said rather than accuse all Muslims of terrorism, the acts of the United States and its agents should as well be examined.
He alleged that violent acts being perpetrated all over the world were being carried out by non-Muslims, including American citizens and agents of the American government. According to him, many Christians and Jews perpetrate terror acts on a daily basis but they are not tagged terrorists by the US and the media.
"Our dear brother, the Baba Addini of Egba Land (Adegbite) was correct when he said Muslims are not terrorists and that Islam is a religion of peace. Let me add here that some people somewhere are known for their lies against Islam and Muslims. Violent acts are perpetrated all over the world by adherents of different faiths and not only Muslims commit them.
Let me say here that it is unfair to Muslims and Islam for the US government to rush, as it used to do, to tag Muslims as terrorists whenever they commit any violent act. It is sad that if an adherent of any other religion commit any terror act the US and the media would not call such a person a terrorist, the US and the media must change this.

I really can't remember the last time the people from the local synagogue or the Catholic food bank blew up anything. Nigeria, however, is the home of massacres of hundreds of defenseless people just because of their religion.

I'm weeping like a willow. I'm shaken to the core of my bones. How can the whole world do so much wrong to the poor Mohammedans and treat them so unfairly? They never started any war, never committed any crimes, never attacked anybody. They never wanted to impose their law on anybody, there is no compulsion in religion, we all know that. How can some terrible thugs dare accuse them of committing vile crimes they couldn't even think of?
9/11 for example was orchestrated by Mossad, Mohammedans are not capable of even thinking of such a heinous crime and the Jews are always guilty, they rejected the self-appointed prophet, very bad indeed.
Virtue same as beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder and you can't blame the adherents of a religion that was founded by a mass murderer and child rapist for not following the same values as we do. Well now he is right that crimes are committed by people of all faiths.
What he doesn't understand is that Muslims are the only ones quoting from their Book Of Hate the Qu'ran to justify the behavior.
That is what makes Muslims terrorists, and others criminals.
and the media calls it "clashes" between Muslims and Christians. Hideous and ridiculous. A "clash" happens between rock-throwing protesters and riot police, or between two evenly matched boxers in the ring.
With Moslems and Christians, the proper terms are massacres, murders, attacks.
There should be no hatred for Muslims, many are trapped in Islam under penalty of death and are too weak to denounce Islam. So-called "moderate" Muslims have to passively support jihad or be exposed as apostate and killed. Instead of being distracted by demands for Muslim supremacy, we should be putting our strength into harboring those running from Islamic rule (i.e. Shariah law, Islamic "honor" killings, forced child-marriages, etc.) and prosecuting jihad crimes as hate crimes against non-Muslims. Our Constitution and just laws already uphold the idea of equality and individual freedom. We need to be well versed in those laws and enforce those laws with our courageous witness testimony in court and political pressure.
