Gunmen burst into the World Vision office in Oghi village in Mansehra district, about 80 km (50 miles) north of Islamabad, at about 9 a.m. (0400 GMT), police and a witness said.
"About 10 men came, they were all wearing masks. They kicked the doors down, took everyone out of their offices, put them in one place and then started shooting," said an office administrator, who asked to be identified only as Asif.
"They threw a bomb as they were leaving," he said....
World Vision said the six dead were Pakistani members of staff and it was suspending all operations in the country.
Seven members of staff were wounded and one was missing, the aid agency said in a statement, adding that its relief and development work in Pakistan was conducted by Pakistanis.

This is a very sad story. I know the folks at World Vision - they are a first-rate organization. We are very saddened by the news, and our hearts go out to the families of the victims. May they rest in peace; may their work in Pakistan not be in vain.

Very succinct statement from Robert Spencer. The most "pious" Muslims see Infidel aid workers and their local allies—even if they are not proselytizing—as anti-Islamic agents who must be removed. If they have any use at all, it is as hostages held for ransom.

Last night on the news there was a segment about a group in Afghanistan fighting the Taliban. Some were ex-Taliban. "We have had enough," they said. "We will keep on fighting as long as we have ammunition." They said they received no help from Pakistan.
If they were telling the truth, it is interesting that Pakistan does not support men who are eager and brave enough to tackle the Taliban by themselves.
