It's unsettling how violent followers of the religion of peace are. I wonder, how much more violent would they be if islam was a religion of violence, and "prophet mo" hadn't been such a peaceful, noble and benevolent leader?

Democracy? Yes, because then the Tiny Minority of Extremists in Pakistan, who actually form the overwhelming majority, will vote in a full Sharia government.

In fact, all authentic Muslim polities are on one level democratic. The only problem is, the demos of Muslim societies is diseased with a unique fanaticism -- a fanaticism that expresses itself through the people as a desire to have an Islamic society (which then brings in its train all sorts of other sociopathologies, psychopathologies, and assorted crimes against humanity).

Our PC MCs of the West think "everyone is the same", and so they assume that democracy must be beneficial wherever it sprouts up or wherever it is enabled. Our PC MCs cannot grasp the full catastrophe of an entire people being, through their unifying culture, diseased in such a way that any sociopolitical power they attain will be used for evil, for injustice and for endangering others.

"Of the people, by the people, and for the people" is fine and dandy when the people have been formed by sociopolitical health (with the usual caveats about human imperfection -- indeed, the recognition and acceptance of the limitations of human imperfection is one of the factors that make Western polities healthier than others); but such a democratic sentiment becomes monstrously unjust, evil and dangerous when the "people" in the equation are Muslims, with their obsessive-compulsive fanaticism for a grotesque (if not indeed Satanic) parody of Purity, Peace and Justice.

And there stands a further mental block in the PC MC mind, preventing it from seeing this tragic inaplicability of beneficent democracy to Muslims: PC MCs look at Muslims and they see an Ethnic People (or, even better, a wonderfully diverse rainbow of various Ethnic Peoples). This only makes it all the more unthinkable for PC MCs to notice, and to avow, anything substantially critical at all about Muslims.

Your reasoning makes my heart heavy, Hesperado. I see it's logic, yes. But if we want to defeat Islam we want it to be FOR something good. And no longer can only Christianity be the sole opponent of Islam, it seems to me that that has to the culture that Geert Wilders views as superior to Islamic culture, that of Enlightenment and the 5 pillars of Democracy; regular fair elections, constitutional state, autonomy of the individual, freedom of speech and separation of church and state. And if even THAT is hopelessly botched by Muslims, what can we be FOR?

Agreed with you that real peaceful Democracy is almost impossible to achieve in peace and fast in an Islamic country, but after education, freeflowing information we hope for more civilization and peace among a population which can bring about a democracy that is peaceful inside and outside too.

And the one aspect that Islam threathens in Western countries and also prevents in Islamic countries hitherto is the DEMOCRATIC SYSTEM. We can't and won't let that ever go. And we should make that clear to Muslims, it is a cause for war if they choose to uproot DEMOCRACY.

Now these Pakistani's probably only have a very vague idea of Democracy, but clearly in the Islamic world there is a lot of vagueness, unclarity, division about whether or not Democracy is compatible with Islam.

We, together with the most knowledgeable and violent Muslims consider it isn't but the Political Correct people and many Ignorant Muslims seem to think it is. Let them try their hand.

Even if we must be logical and coherent, can't we take advantage of the division, unclarity, ignorance of the Muslims worldwide? Can't we entice them to become slowly ever more educated, civilized and peaceful democratic, meanwhile together with the ignorant Democratic Muslims and the equally ignorant Political Correct people hold off the really dangerous people who want to keep and expand dictatorships?

You will find some proof samples of the kind of handiwork performed on the "little people" barcode is talking about - their enemy, the Hindu.
