Why quietly? Best not to call too much attention to your dhimmitude. Then some folks who still have an attachment to the human rights that are trampled by Sharia might object. "U.N. Drops Muslim Brotherhood Figure From 'Terrorist Finance' List," by Mark "Must Be Loving This" Hosenball for Newsweek, March 17 (thanks to all who sent this in):
The U.N. Security Council has quietly dropped Youssef Nada, a prominent financial and diplomatic representative of the Muslim Brotherhood, from an international sanctions list directed at curbing the activities of alleged terrorist financiers. The delisting of Nada, by the Al-Qaida and Taliban Sanctions Committee, was announced by this official notice posted on the Security Council's Web site. In addition to Nada himself, the notice declares that two businesses associated with him, Waldenberg AG of Liechtenstein and Youssef M. Nada & Co. GMBH of Vienna, also have been removed from the U.N. sanctions list. The Security Council's announcement does not explain why the council decided to drop financial sanctions against Nada and his companies--sanctions intended to curb their ability to conduct financial activities anywhere in the world. But Victor Comras, a former adviser on financial sanctions to the U.S. State Department and, later, an adviser to the committee that produced the sanctions lists, says he find the U.N. action troubling. "To my mind this is a great mistake. I'm kind of mystified by it," Comras told Declassified. When Nada was put on the U.N. sanctions list, it was done with great public fanfare, Comras said. But when the U.N. decided to take his name off, it was done with a minimum of public discussion.
In an e-mail, Comras added: "Even though Nada may no longer be involved in funding Al Qaeda, he has made it clear a number of times that he will continue as a major financial supporter of Hamas . . . As you know, Nada never really suffered from the [U.N. listing]. He continued to live well, travel, and, most likely, to access and manipulate his assets through his family and others." Nada has previously denied any involvement with Al Qaeda.
Comras also noted that given the fact that all listing and delisting decisions by the U.N. sanctions committee have to be unanimous, at some point, in his view, the Obama administration would have had to signal that it was willing to go along with Nada's delisting. Nada and his companies were placed on a terrorist-finance sanctions list maintained by the U.S. Treasury before they were added to U.N.'s list; according to the list currently available on the Treasury Department's Web site, Nada and his companies are still on it.
In a statement, a Treasury spokesperson said that the U.S. has supported "the removal of those individuals who are no longer appropriate for listing pursuant to that specific regime." But the spokesperson added that Nada remains on the Treasury's U.S.-only sanctions list....
The sooner traitor Obama and his gang of thugs get bounced out of the government the safer the world becomes! The more obama's actions are revealed for the world to see the more convinced l am that he is the one to be defeated.
I know most of us here place the anti-Jihad above all other political and sociological issues, but I must say, this health-care boondoggle that Obama-Pelosi-Reid are pushing through by hook and crook has really got me bummed. Any hopes of ever chipping away at our fiscal nightmare is about to go down the tubes. I honestly believe we're headed for a revolution...not a right-wing, tea-party affair, but an eventual fiscal collapse leading to an economic collapse leading to anarchy leading to the fragmenting of our great country...and it's not off in the dim future, but perhaps within a decade.
If there is anyone who can offer credible words of encouragement regarding the explosion of our debt and our ability of ever being able to pay it off, please feel free!

Yousuf Nada and al-Taqwa Bank - off the hook? Why? Because they've been unable to come up with the kind of evidence necessary for a conviction in a Wester court of law, with all of its procedural guarantees and niceties? But everyone knows that in such cases as this, that is not the proper standard. Is there evidence to suggest strongly that Yousuf Nada and Al-Taqwa Bank were deeply involved in unsavory and, for the West, dangerous activities? Apparently the government of Egypt thought so, when a few years ago it banned operations of that bank, and of Yousuf Nada, because it apparently believed deeply that there was a connection to the Ikhwan. Do you think the Egyptian government might use means of gathering intelligence from the Ikhwan that are not readily available to Western governments? Might its actions be a guide to what the Western world, should be doing, and might have fought for, even at the nearly-useless U.N.?
Yes, I for one do place my anti-jihad activities in the most prominent place as far as my socio-political concerns go; however, I certainly do see a correlation between what Prez O (Bamster) is doing (or not doing) and the promulgation of mozoidism in the West. I think it is part of propagating multi-culturalism in order to bring down the sovereignty of the U. S. so that New World Order can be implemented. The only problem with the Bamster's direction is that mozoids are impossible to control and they will tear down an entire society including whatever is left of our democracy before they will just be one of the masses, controlled by New World Order. Also, as far as the NWO strategy goes, I think that the confusion that we are in is part of the strategy. I am always interested in how the broader political issues are tied into the issues of a more narrow focus, because nothing happens on a vacuum. Corruption can only take place if there is a deliberate set-up for it, or, if people look the other way, or, are not paying attention.
The only hope I see is in the individual integrity of people who value their freedom above all else. I have faith in this aspect of Western-thinking people. If nothing else, we also have enough human surplus of true,modern-day "rebels",as well as a history of such, who will lead lead an actual civil war between the U. S. government and its constituency, if it comes down to that. If this does happen, I believe that the people will win.
I agree, I think one of the ultimate goals of the very liberal wing of this country is to submit to the (whims of) U.N.(useless nincompoops) I don't know when they got the idea that this was a good idea, but they did.
How did this happen? When the U.N. was created it was seen as an altruistic, high minded institution by the people. Possibly incorruptible? Unfortunately, it was called the United Nations, not Democratic nations, or Western Nations, so every unseemly type was allowed a seat at the table and given an equal voice except at the Security Council and even there, of the 5 permanent seats, 2 are held by countries who within the last 80 years have seen 120 million or so of their people slaughtered by their rulers. In the U.N. itself, the human rights council is chaired and dominated by countries that do not value the life of a woman or children, who think that slavery, either for work or for sex is OK, and what happens when our extreme left wants to bow down to this body of nations? They either privately begin to think that this kind of behavior is OK or pretend it doesn't happen or ignore it completely as an aberration or say that once our country is involved in a relationship with them our values will supplant theirs. This is a naive mindset that is completely in keeping with extreme leftist thinking...
And so in conclusion, am I surprised that the UN dropped this guy off it's terrorist list, nope, am I even less shocked that any of our politicians took note of it and is making noise about it, nope. The U.N. is a corrupt institution to it's core. Our liberal politicians in the U.S. are about as bad as they buy into what the U.N. is selling.
