CNN ran a story about the Department of Justice officials who had previously defended jihad terror suspects. A graphic referred to the story as "Department of Jihad?"
But now Blitzer says: "CNN had no intention of suggesting that the Justice Department supports terrorism. Lawyers at the Justice Department are patriotic Americans and we certainly regret any confusion that may have been caused by our graphic."
Of course, the possibility that anyone employed by the Justice Department might not be patriotic is never considered; it wasn't intended by the graphic, and Blitzer apologizes because it is an article of faith, an unquestionable dogma, that everyone in the government is patriotic, especially Leftists, for whom it is "right-wing" to question their patriotism.
Wolf Blitzer would have served his audience much better if he has launched an investigation of Muslim Brotherhood influence in the Justice Department and in the government in general. But we are still a very, very long way from that.
But who will apologize for Wolf Blitzer's apology?
Blitzer and CNN are just covering their collective Leftist butt for stumbling into a pursuit of the truth moment, such pursuit being disallowed whenever facts get in the way of the PC/MC Leftist paradigm. Just look at the nonsense which is man-made climate change for another example of this. No matter how much evidence is produced to disprove the contention that man is affecting the climate, the Left continues to insist that mankind is destroying the planet (e.g., the oceans of the world release 190-230 gigatons of CO2 into the atmosphere every year, while man, with all his factories, SUVs, etc., releases only some 7 gigatons in the same time span, and yet the Goreistas claim that man's release of CO2 is drastically affecting our world).
Modern Leftism is a secular religion where belief trumps everything else. How fitting, therefore, that this same Left has made an unholy alliance with Muslims. Yes indeed, two decrepit religions, one old and one new, both of which are inimical to what Western Civilization, at its best, has achieved. Geert Wilders said as much this week before the UK House of Lords. He knows that defeating Islamic supremacist designs also means defeating the idiocy of modern liberalism.
'Department of Jihad', eh?
Sounds very sensible, if one thinks about it.
Every non-Muslim government needs a 'Department of Jihad', or a 'Jihad Desk': that is, a place where the current state of play in the national and international Self-Defence Of Kafirs Against Muslim Jihad is examined, and analysed, and ways of ramping up the defence and indeed ways of engaging in intelligently targeted offense (such as, for example, seriously funding the efforts of the likes of Fr Zakaria Botros and Ali Sina as they work away at deprogramming members of the Death Cult) are brainstormed.
CNN mentioned jihad? Really? Did hell freeze over?
