Iran has been holding military maneuvers, dubbed as The Great Prophet, in the strategic waters of the Persian Gulf annually since 2006 to show off its military capabilities -- and serve as an implicit warning of the consequences if the United States or Israel attack Iran's nuclear facilities....
On Thursday, the military unveiled a new attack speedboat, describing it as an "ultra-speed and smart" vessel called "Ya Mahdi." Iran also said 313 smaller speedboats with the capability of firing rockets and missiles would participate....
On Wednesday, ahead of the exercises, Khamenei spoke to a conference of nurses and denounced Obama's new nuclear guidelines. U.S. officials have said the changes aim to push Iran into cooperating with the U.N. on its nuclear program, but the supreme leader depicted them as dangling the threat of nuclear attack over his country.
"Implicit atomic threats against Iran will have no effect," he said. "The Iranian people will not submit to such threats and will bring those who make them to their knees." He repeated that Iran is not seeking to build a nuclear weapon.
"The nuclear powers, particularly the United States, are using their nuclear might to try to impose their authority over the world," he said....

Until recently, I haven't subscribed to the notion that Obamanation was really a muslim.
But he has gone so far beyond the pale to court, coddle, protect and even LIE for them--that it's getting easier every day to think he is--at least--a "closet muslim," if not the real thing. Does he need to jump into bed with with our enemies to this extreme to advance his Socialist / Marxist agenda? Or, does he hate his country so much that he'll bring it down with whatever means are at-hand? (Bill Ayers would approve?)
You are so right about Obama jettisoning his friends, and the "Rev." Wright (Wrong!) is a great example. It might have invited some respect if he had stood-up for the "pastor" of the church he had attended for what, 18 years?
He didn't stand-up for his pal Van Jones, either--out he went! The conclusion I get is that this guy, wrapped in "good guy" disguise, is pretty ruthless and more fickle than even the Clintons! And he runs with a pretty rough crowd, too!
Frankly, I think he's more dangerous as a muslim-sympathizer than he'd be as an outright muslim. He can make muslim-friendly policy and preach muslim-accepting taqiyya without the loss of credibilty that this would cost him as a confessed muslim.

Pentagon disinvites evangelist who scorned Islam

The U.S. Army on Thursday withdrew an invitation to a Christian evangelist to speak at a Pentagon prayer service next month following an outcry over his references to Islam as a violent religion.
Franklin Graham, the son of famed evangelist Billy Graham, said in a statement he regretted the Army's decision and would keep praying for U.S. troops.
The invitation prompted a harsh reaction, including from a prominent U.S. Muslim group that said Graham's appearance before Pentagon personnel would send the wrong message as the United States fights wars in Muslim countries.
In an interview last year with CNN, Graham said "true Islam" was too violent to be practiced in the United States.
"You can't beat your wife. You cannot murder your children if you think they've committed adultery or something like that, which they do practice in these other countries," he said.
"I don't agree with the teachings of Islam and I find it to be a very violent religion."

The Army said it did not invite Graham to the May 6 event organized through the Pentagon Chaplain's office. The invitation was instead extended by the private, Colorado-based National Day of Prayer Task Force.
"Once the Army leadership became aware that Reverand Graham was speaking at this event, we immediately recognized it as problematic," said Colonel Tom Collins, an Army spokesman.
"The bottom line here is that his presence would be inappropriate. His past statements are not consistent with the multi-faith emphasis and inclusiveness of this event."
Graham acknowledged the decision, saying in a statement: "I will continue to pray that God will give them guidance, wisdom and protection as they serve this great country."
The National Day of Prayer Task Force called the Pentagon's decision part of an "assault on religious freedom and people of faith" driven by groups including the government and media.
"The Pentagon, representing the most powerful military in the world, melted like butter and withdrew the invitation," it said, citing opposition by "a small group of naysayers."

President Barack Obama and the military have repeatedly sought to assure the Muslim world that the U.S. fight against insurgents in Iraq and Afghanistan should not be viewed as a war against Islam.

The Military Religious Freedom Foundation, which also voiced outrage over the rifle scopes, wrote a letter of protest earlier this week to Defense Secretary Robert Gates over Graham's invitation.
The Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations said the invitation was damaging to the U.S. image.
"To have an individual who calls Islam evil and claims Muslims are enslaved by their faith speak at the Pentagon sends entirely the wrong message," said the group's national executive director, Nihad Awad.

I'm happy the Iranians are conducting "wargames." The US armed forces are busily observing tactics, recording signal signatures, watching logistics, and planning just how to stomp the Iranians when the need arises. It's an intelligence bonanza!
