I agree with the tenor of this interview (in light of mounting evidence) more so than an earlier hypothesis that Mr. Obama might be 'murtadd' -- apostate. The president is, little doubt, behaving as a Muslim would behave. His speech in Cairo was an eye-opener.

One does not need to look far as this article below reflects on how Obama looks at the world after he spent 20 years in a Black Liberation theology Church listening to sermons of Jeremiah Wright. This article was written more than a year before Obama became President and if you put in the words " Black Liberation Theology in Google you will see numerous articles written that reflect on the Marism that is found in the BLT Church as well what they define as Black Muslim teachings. In another article written in the American Thinker the writer who visited Wright's Trinity Church found that the churches library was full of books that reflected Muslim thinking.

As I have noted before, BHO is not and cannot be a Muslim. Adherence to that creed would require him to worship an entity other than the true object of his veneration: to wit, Barack Hussein Obama.

As to his putative self-identification as a Christian, that would seem to be refuted by his long-standing membership in the America-cursing preacher Jeremiah Wright's Trinity United Church of Christ, which actually worshipped not Jesus Christ so much as African ethnicity. BHO also attended Easter services this year at Allen Chapel AME (African Methodist Episcopal) Church in Washington, D.C., a "historically black" church.

I have some new information that is related to the thread. I heard on the radio the other day. As usual it has not be mentioned in the MSM.

Accordingly, the State Dept. is not renewing travel visas for Israeli nuclear workers coming to the US for refresher studies at universities related to their work. I forgot the name of the institution or agency the Israeli work for but the wording was specific that if they worked for that entity they were not allowed the visa.

It sure seems true. Could someone confirm this info? It does make sense that a Islamic bias president would pull something like this.

I haven't followed this issue closely, and haven't taken it very seriously. But it seems to me that the persistent claims that Obama is secretly a Muslim, or was a Muslim, are unfounded. Those who persist in claiming that Obama is secretly a Muslim (and thus is misleading, or deceiving, the public when he claims to be Christian) don't account adequately for the evidence that runs contrary to their claims. He's said he's a Christian, and he's reaffirmed this, at least, on Larry King, and in the interview with Bob Costas. Endless discussions about how Obama attended Quran classes etc. as a child proves nothing about what Obama believed at the time and nothing about what he believes now.

Some people cite the "my Muslim faith" quote without citing the surrounding context of the statement. I've listened to and watched the segment, taking into account what was said before that, and my understanding was that Obama was saying "my Muslim faith" in reference to the allegations that he was of the Muslim faith. In the interview, in the moment, Bob Costas then apparently felt the need to clarify this, and Obama clarified it, i.e., in saying "my Christian faith."

Also regarding "Phoenix"...here's what he wrote above [at April 29, 2010 9:58 AM] about Obama:

His comments about Quran 60:8 must be seen in light of this and in light of his other comments above about America and Israel.

On this general issue, I'd say that Obama is an islamochristian roughly in the same sense which Hugh Fitzgerald meant when he coined that term.

That coined term is trying to articulate a sociopsychological phenomenon whereby, for various different reasons, various non-Muslims become imbued with Islamic values and become so dhimmified they are virtually, though sometimes only semi-consciously, agents for Islam.

Another term that could help grasp this phenomenon would be Janissary.

So, to explain Obama's Islamophilia, we have recourse to at least three terms --

Dhimmi, Islamochristian, Janissary.

It is arguable that the extent and degree of Islamophilia which any one or any combination of these terms reflects exceeds the pro-Islam tendencies of the PC MC, and even of the Leftist or the radical Leftist. Obama is already a radical Leftist; what tips him over the edge to being any one or any combination of the above three terms would be the psycho-cultural legacy of his childhood -- not only his Islamic milieu in Indonesia, but the Islam of his fathers (it doesn't matter if they themselves weren't rigorously practicing Muslims -- we know how often even "Muslims-for-Identification-Purposes-Only" can't seem to shake the Islam in their systems), as well as the obvious Islamophilia of his white mother who went gallivanting off in her Leftist Romanticism with the Noble Savage to marry Muslim men in the Third World.

Even all the evidence marshaled by miira above does not further tip Obama over the edge from being a Dhimmi, Islamochristian, Janissary -- into being a Stealth Jihadist. Those three terms, particularly with the powerful position Obama enjoys, will to a great extent have the function of enabling the Stealth Jihad anyway, regardless of whether Obama is really Muslim or not. And I agree with Kinana's argument that Obama's Mohammedan Slip in his interview with George Stephanopoulos (not with Bob Costas as Kinana mistakenly wrote) is explainable in terms of semantic context. That semantic context is rather subtle and involves a familiarity with literary and grammatical phrasing. What Obama meant (so the argument goes) was: "...my alleged Muslim faith..." It is perfectly normal and legitimate for a person to phrase a comment implying, but not explicitly uttering, a parenthetical specification such as "alleged". While there is wiggle room for a claim of ambiguity here that could possibly provide leverage for the Muslim theory, in my estimation it's just not sufficient to substantiate a charge as momentous and grave as that Obama is actually a Stealth Jihadist working to plot the grandest Stealth Jihad Op in history.

I tend to subscribe to the Carl Sagan Rule on accusations: The more serious the accusation, the more you need solid smoking gun evidence. To which I would add Ockham's Razor, by which it would be argued that everything so far Obama has said and done can already be explained by his being a Dhimmi, Islamochristian, and or a Janissary.

So you have a man who has never met Omaba, never talked with him directly about his religious beliefs, who completely discounts that he had a Christian wedding, attends Christian churches, has never had a single witness come forward to say that he has ever atended a house of islam in the last 30 years say "his policies are in line with the muslim religion". Do yourself a favor, get off the internet, out of you house, take off the tinfoil hat and actually do some good in the world. This "interview" is meaningless, and worse, simply extenuates a stereotype. If you love America, then you should love standing up for the truth against rag "scholors" who profess knowledge they do not possess. A True American, like a John McCain, can disagree with the policies of Obama, but stand up against alsehoods for the sake of slinging mud. Have some honor.
