I don't know about the other JW readers, but I'm outraged and am cancelling my subscription immediately. The patients in my sex therapy clinic waiting room will just have to content themslves with back issues of American Proctologist.

Islam has a long history of aggression, physical attacks and terrorism aimed at kufr (dis-belief, and dis-believers)...Does the Hutaree have such a history?

This is what is going to doom Islam. It is caught between the rock of truth, and the hard place of truth, and must lie, misled, Taqiyya, to survive. No one can love that which cannot be trusted. Islam betrays plain speaking and ruins the mind by patterns of deception. It cripples logic and morals based on reason.

It must rely on force and various forms of violence-one of which is deception. It is a zombie when it comes to reason and courageous truth telling.

The problem for Muslims is the truth. As the truth of its dogmas become widely known by non-Muslims (which is happening fast), it will implode as people laugh at the Taqiyya.

People are drawn to the truth, to what can be trusted, what proves courageous, truthful. Islam repels because of the deceptions-the Taqiyya.

Again we can see that the truth and Muslims follow divergent paths.

muslims lie and are lied to by their imams and ayatoilets constantly. If they didn't lie regarding their chosen government they could never associate themselves with it willingly.

I wish I could I say I was surprised by the disinformation campaign used by The American Muslim, but this is typical behavior of groups and individuals that are under pressure from those who criticize or demand accountability from them. Instead of engaging in rational discourse, they lash out at others with lies.
As an atheist who was raised both Muslim and Catholic, I have a perspective on religion that may differ somewhat from my Christian friends, but a quick look at my blog reveals where I stand on the issue of Islam and the danger it presents to the civilized world.
Jihad Watch is one of the few non-atheist blogs I subscribe to. Keep fighting the "good fight".

Sheila Musaji cites some strange sources for supporting her conclusions about the respective proportions of Muslim versus non-Muslim terrorist groups. These sources include a juvenile Muslim opinion website called "Loonwatch," which focuses on making ad hominem attacks and unsubstantiated allegations against Islam critics, and MPAC, a Muslim activist and public relations group that has produced a "policy memo" that Musaji cites in her article as though it were a mere unbiased, unfiltered summary of raw data.

Anyways, let's for the sake of argument, have a look at some of what Musaji presents by way of maximizing the appearance of non-Muslim terrorism and minimizing Muslim terrorism in the U.S. since 9/11.

"There were 51 total plots by domestic non-Muslim perpetrators against the United States, and 29 total plots by domestic and international Muslim perpetrators since 9/11.
Only 42% of individuals publicly associated with terrorism by the Department of Justice were actually charged with violating an anti-terrorism or national security statute.
There have been at least 4 cases of non-Muslim domestic terrorists possessing or attempting to possess Chemical or Radiological weapons, including one case since Obama’s election. No such cases involving Muslim extremists have been reported.
Since Obama’s election on November 4, 2008 there have been 25 terror plots by non-Muslim domestic extremists and 9 plots by Muslim domestic and international extremists."

These aren't exactly clean and appropriate comparisons, but let's take what she presents.

51 + 29 = 80. 29/80 = .3625, or 36% of the plots are by Muslims. This is wildly disproportionate, way more Muslim terrorist attacks than one would expect based on the fact that Muslims constitute only perhaps about 1% (and even by puffed up estimates, less than 2%) of the U.S. population. If Muslims are no more likely than non-Muslims to plot terrorist attacks, then only about 1 or 2% of the total plots should be by Muslims.

25 + 9 = 34, 9/34 = .2647, or 26% of the plots since Nov. 4, 2008, are by Muslims. Again, this is wildly disproportionate, given the 1% to 2% of Muslims in the general population.

I do not have time to assess all of Musaji's cherry-picked examples, truncated time periods, etc., but it is clear that her sources (e.g., Loonwatch?!) are biased, and that the numbers she does present don't support what she seems to suggest in the article.

Note also how the above example includes a period since 9/11 in the U.S. Why doesn't it include 9/11, the largest and most important terrorist attack on Americans in recent history? Why doesn't she include figures on the number of deaths caused by Muslim versus non-Muslim terrorism?
