Jeffrey Epstein - who as president of the non-profit America's Truth Forum has researched and hosted conferences on the Islamic terror threat to the U.S - told WND he "felt it best to leave" after the president of the synagogue interrupted his second question, which had elicited noticeable gasps from the mostly Jewish audience of about 100.
Epstein first asked Mattson to explain why there are no churches or synagogues in Saudi Arabia, noting the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom recently designated 10 Muslim countries as among the worst violators of religious freedom.
"I'm not a Saudi and have no say over what they do," Mattson replied, according to Epstein and two other witnesses who asked not to be named.
"We all know that the Saudi government is not a democracy and doesn't do things like we do," she said, according to Epstein. "The royal family is a dictatorial regime and has a history of human rights violations and persecuting minority religions. They don't respect women's rights."
Mattson, whose group was founded in 1981 by the Saudi-funded Muslim Students' Association, traveled last month to Saudi Arabia for a meeting of the Islamic Development Bank, according to African media.
The bank was chartered by the 56-nation Organization of the Islamic Conference in 1973 "in accordance with the principles of Shariah," or Islamic law, as prescribed by the Muslim Brotherhood, notes counter-terrorism scholar Rachel Ehrenfeld, director of the American Center for Democracy.
Mattson's national profile was raised by her prayer at Obama's inauguration prayer service, and she attended the president's Ramadan dinner at the White House.
The moderator of the interfaith gathering said there would be no time for further questions, but Epstein insisted on asking another one, noting Mattson had agreed to answer two questions.
Epstein asked: "Ingrid, how can you sincerely represent yourself as a peace partner in terms of promoting interfaith dialogue and bridge-building, when you preside as president of the Islamic Society of North America - a known operating wing of the Muslim Brotherhood which is a terrorist organization that spawned both Hamas and al-Qaida."
Mattson replied by listing her associations with the federal government, saying she worked with the CIA, FBI, Department of Homeland Security and the White House.
The synagogue president then intervened, explaining it was not the time for politics.
With the microphone still in his hand, Epstein maintained that his question was not about politics but about terrorism.
He pointed to Mattson as the leader of an organization classified by the Justice Department as an unindicted co-conspirator in the Dallas trial of the Holy Land Foundation, which was found guilty in 2008 of raising money for the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas.
ISNA was named in a May 1991 Muslim Brotherhood document "An Explanatory Memorandum on the General Strategic Goal for the Group in North America" as one of the Brotherhood's likeminded "organizations of our friends" who shared the common goal of turning the U.S. into a Muslim nation under Shariah, or Islamic law....

On Catholic Answers Radio Robert Spencer talked on Islam and the Jihad. Robert tells a fascinating story about a spiritual encounter that Muhammad had. He bases the story on what he calls a very early hadith. He contrasts this older story with the story we might hear now if we were to attend an Islamic school or pop into a mosque.
I was curious if I could get the name of the document that he was referring to. Perhaps I could also get the approximate date and location it was penned if that isn't too much trouble.
Or... is this not a document at all, but part of some sort of early oral tradition in Muslim theology?

When will liberal-left Rabbis and Jewish leaders realize that the Muslims engaging in dialogue have no interest in building understanding and truly "hearing" another side? Too many Jewish organizations have interfaith dialogue as part of their mission. Dialogue is no longer a means to an end. It is an activity that has become a "good thing" in and of itself. Even if there are no tangible benefits to the Jewish community, the Rabbis and organizational leaders press on with interfaith dialogue because they want to fulfill the mission and have their activities in alignment with the goals of their institution, including interfaith dialogue.
Meanwhile, the Muslims see another place where they can get infidels to lower their guard. Better yet, the simple act of engaging in interfaith dialogue by the Muslim side then serves as evidence of their "moderation" when infidels start becoming hip to their deception. Moreover, the ignorant Rabbis will actually vouch for the moderation of said Muslim group, believing that the few hours he spent in dialogue is a better gauge of Muslim intentions than the Koran, Hadith, Sira, Muslim Brotherhood project and hundreds of speeches, nefarious connections and jihadist activities.

I have had the same experience as Jeffrey Epstein - being ostracized and silenced at fake interfaith presentations, particularly one at a Reform synagogue. Based upon my experience, I have found that if you attend this kind of presentation alone, with no supporters, the near-inevitable result will be that you will be silenced, vilified, or ignored after you have asked your first pointed question or made your first informed comment that shows you are not to be taken in by some taqiyya-spewing lying Muslim. It would be far better, if possible, to attend such presentations with as large a group of cohorts as possible (even two or three) - but enter separately, sit apart, and do not show any obvious collaboration once inside. Rehearse your talking points prior to the presentation. If one of you is silenced, then others should continue. The more participants, the better - test the comfort zone not only of the Muslim representative(s), but also that of the congregants and the organizers. The hard part is finding others who are sufficiently courageous and knowledgeable to involve themselves in what will perforce be a confrontational situation.

Now there is Marshall Rosenbergs book "Non-violent communication" and in it he emphasizes that it helps if persons or groups focus on what they feel as a need in order to be satisfied in the end, more than on blaming and judging the other side. Maybe that helps.
In a real all-encompassing dialoque the loyalty of Muslims should also be taken in consideration, I think. Because Ingrid Mattson disowns the Saudis, as if she has no power or responsibility over or for them. OK, but she must be put to the choice; either you are loyal to your country and its democratic laws and values first and foremost, and then you will be monitored, checked on that. Or you admit to being loyal to the Ummah first and foremost, but in that case you CAN be held accountable for what Saudi Arabia, the heart of the Ummah does.
