THE home secretary, Theresa May, is facing a stiff test of the Conservative party's claims to oppose radical Islam after her officials chose to allow a misogynist Muslim preacher into Britain.Zakir Naik, an Indian televangelist described as a "hate-monger" by moderate Muslims and one Tory MP, says western women make themselves "more susceptible to rape" by wearing revealing clothing.
Naik, who proselytises on Peace TV, a satellite television channel, is reported to have called for the execution of Muslims who change their faith, described Americans as "pigs" and said that "every Muslim should be a terrorist".
In a recent lecture, he said he was "with" Osama Bin Laden over the attacks on "terrorist America", adding that the 9/11 hijackings were an inside job by President George W Bush.

Although Naik makes it clear he does not support specific acts of terrorism, his inflammatory speeches have included one, currently on YouTube, in which he states: "Beware of Muslims saying Osama Bin Laden is right or wrong. I reject them ... we don't know.
"But if you ask my view, if given the truth, if he is fighting the enemies of Islam, I am for him.
"I don't know what he's doing. I'm not in touch with him. I don't know him personally. If he is terrorising the terrorists, if he is terrorising America the terrorist ... I am with him. Every Muslim should be a terrorist."
According to reports in the Indian media, his organisation, the Islamic Research Foundation in Mumbai, was where Rahil Abdul Rehman Sheikh, suspected of being commander of a series of train bombings in Mumbai, and other alleged terrorists spent much of their time before the attacks.
The American terror suspect Najibullah Zazi, arrested last year for planning suicide attacks on the New York subway, is said to have been inspired by Naik's YouTube videos. There is no suggestion Naik had any knowledge of terrorist plotting. [...]
Naik will be appearing at Wembley Arena in London and in Sheffield on his British tour. When he last came to Britain in 2006, his visit was condemned by David Davies, the Tory MP for Monmouth, who described him as a "hate-monger".

I grew up on my grandparent's farm and my grandfather had a pet pig he'd raised from a piglet. She was a red poland weighing about 500 pounds and spent a lot of time on the living room sofa during the hot afternoons. Because she was a sow (female) and socialised rather well, she had better manners than most of our neighbors and even insisted on taking a bath every day. Though she was polite to a fault, my grandfather insisted that I never turn my back on her because she was always hungry.
I doubt that Dr (snort, giggle) Naik has ever spent any time with pigs so doesn't know as much as he thinks he does about them. His only reliable model for their conduct might be in the person(s) of his wife or wives, which no doubt is the reason he has such a bad opinion of pigs.
I have viewed some of Naik's speeches on video and read some of his text debates. I cannot imagine a person of even average intelligence being taken in by his sophmoric bullshit more than a few minutes. Any average-smart middle school-age child would see through his defensive claptrap in less time than it takes to wonder if he brushes his teeth with a hog-bristle toothbrush.
It's only alienated hindus and brain-dead muslims who think that he is a great intellect and debater, but that's just because they themselves are so weak in the brains department that they think his gobbledegook makes sense.
Of course his constant use of the illogical and self-contradictory Qur’ân to "prove" his arguments plays to the average muslim's deeply held belief that the Qur’ân is the uncreated actual word of God hisself.

He is a very familiar figure here. A combination of India's liberal laws and predominance in Indian society of dhimmis who delight in being lenient on most virulent of Islamists has ensured he is able to preach freely here and has developed a large, rather huge following.
I keep watching him on TV in our house. I do so to add to my knowledge of Koran and Hadith and also to equip myself with how mainstream Muslims (yes, he is a mainstream Muslim) see their religion and others' way of life.
Those non - Muslims who do not tire of telling everyone that fundamentalist Islam is practised and supported by only a "tiny minority of extremists" should see the crowds in his lectures. The numbers are huge ! And periodically the camera shows the reaction of the audience to his claptrap. They are visibly moved. They are visibly in support.
Indeed, Zakir Naik's is mainstream Islam. Those who argue about fundamentalist, intolerant Islam being followed by a minority of Muslims know this well. They have not missed seeing the crowds in his lectures. They are only using this argument as a fig lead for admitting that Islam itself has a problem would be humiliating embarrassment for them.
I really wish the challenge to him to debate Islam (I think Dr Robert Spencer has given this challenge) is more widely publicized, so that his followers have a chance of seeing him for the charlatan that he is. The challenge from Ali Sina was fended off by Naik's "public relations manager" by saying he wants a televised two hour debate and not an online one.
I hope someone else (like Robert Spencer, or anyone else) is able to rope him into a debate and then massacres his arguments, as is sure to happen since Islam is almost entirely falsehood.

I know it's a piffly little logic argument, but Naik is such an illogical fool.
I saw a YouTube video of him saying something like, "the Atheist when he says there is no god, is partly right. He just needs to carry on a little, There is no god but Allah..." etc. Using his logic, "Allah is God," is partly right, but becomes even more correct when you say, "Allah is God in the minds of gullible idiotic Muslims."
