Al-Qaeda grows in Brooklyn. "Feds: Brooklyn Man Traveled To Iraq To Wage 'Jihad,'" by Jonathan Dienst and Ryan Smith for NBC New York, May 17:

A Brooklyn man charged with swearing allegiance to al Qaeda pleaded not guilty in a Manhattan courtroom Monday.

Prosecutors said Sabirhan Hasanoff traveled to Iraq and other Mideast countries to try to help the terror organization and to try to wage violent jihad.

"He performed real and tangible work on behalf of the (terror) group," said assistant U.S. attorney John Cronan. He added that Hasanoff received "specific assignments" from al Qaeda operatives....

Prosecutors said Hasanoff and El-Hanafi purchased Casio watches and wired money to al Qaeda members. "Casio digital watches are valued by al Qaeda because they can be modified for use in explosives," Cronan said....

Officials said the two men used their computer expertise to help al Qaeda members improve their clandestine communications.

Investigators said last year, several of their overseas terror contacts were arrested. Since then, investigators said the Brooklyn men were seeking new al Qaeda operatives to help in "jihad."

After the court hearing, family members declined to comment -- although at one point, they shoved a still photographer who was trying to take their picture.

What? I thought that allah had given them a glorious weapon in the children of Islam...

So without infidel manufactured watches, Ahmed and the boys wouldn't be able to blow up their bombs made with infidel explosives or shoot off their infidel assault rifles.

Is just me or is Islamic Jihad against the infidels impossible without all the infidel weapons to wage it?

It's really kind of sad when you think about it.

A challenge to the jihad - attack the infidels from on top of your camels, throwing your spears, waving your swords and screaming "Allahu Akbar!" - just like Mohammed and the boys did back in the day.

Wait. Mohammed never did fight. He stood near his tent, dressed in two suits of mail armor, surrounded by big, mean thugs, throwing sand at the infidels and cursing them occasionally. He had the youngsters do the killing and at the end of the battle, he picked out 20% of the booty.

It's not much better now, is it? The old mullah talk the young fanatics into blowing themselves up for Allah and after the smoke has cleared, the old mullah marries the martyr's 10 year old sister.

God, it's depressing to be a jihadi.

A graduate - a "proud" graduate? -- of Baruch College. One thinks of Aafia Siddiqui getting her scholarships to MIT and then to Brandeis. One would love to read their admissions essays. Such banal phrases as "helping humanity" and "giving something back" take on new and sinister meaning, in light of what they subsequently revealed about their intentions. "Helping humanity" by working to bring about the dominance of Islam everywhere; "giving something back" by working against the Infidels wherever they could -- Iraq in the case of Sabirhan Hasanoff, Afghanistan and Pakistan in the case of Aafia Siddiqui.

And there are so many many more, for the impulse comes naturally to those steeped in the ideology of Islam. And a great many people are so steeped, and even those not so steeped can, overnight (see Faisal Shahzad), suffering from some personal setback or crisis or mental disarray, find that Islam, undiluted, offers The Way, and The Way includes fighting in the cause of Allah.

they shoved a still photographer who was trying to take their picture.

I can see why they don't want to be photographed...It's hard to be stealth jihadist when your picture is plastered all over the place...

Why aren't such people tried for specifically for High Treason - not just some crime - and sentenced to execution when found guilty? Would that be too insensitive to Muslims? Why can't our president & attorney general act like men instead of fairy wusses, get mad and come down on these guys with none of the sickening nonsense we have to endure - like refusing to admit that their Islam had any influence?

The Obama administration is so disgustingly wimpy.

It's hard to be stealth jihadist when your picture is plastered all over the place...

I don't know about that. Barack Hussein Obama seems to be having a tremendous amout of success in furthering the jihad, even though he's very much a public figure.

OT some
There is little 'stealth' about Rasulullahhaha Obama...He has tried to be stealthy, but he keeps getting exposed...He is getting further exposed right now in NYC at the Dr Manning peoples grand jury trial...This trial is supposed to prove that Rasools attendance at Columbia University never happened, and his degree is a fraud...In the process, other items of interest pop up...Where is this going? I don't know, but every media is shunning it...There's almost a news black out...Is this just disinterest, or is there something a little deeper than that, like jittery nerves?...This trial is being followed on commieblaster.com if anyone is interested...

They were going to use Timex but those no longer take a licking and... Oh, okay--I'll shut up, now.
