War Is Deceit, and of course the world is so anxious to be deceived and to demonize Israel. Jihad Flotilla Update: "Israel: Hamas Gaza Terror Flotilla Organizers Not Humanitarian, Wanted Massacre For PR," by Joel Leyden for Israel News Agency, May 31:
Jerusalem ---- May 31, 2010 .... The Israel Navy this morning blocked the Hamas backed "Gaza Freedom Flotilla", a group of ships carrying up to 800 people from entering the Gaza Strip.Israel was well aware that this was not a humanitarian love boat trek but rather an exercise in Islamic digital PR.
The organizers of the Palestine Flotilla to Gaza consisted of some of the worst global terror groups including Hamas, Islamic Jihad, al-Qaeda and their fund raisers the Turkish Humanitarian Relief Foundation.
What made this Palestine PR stunt or electronic Jihad exercise even more barbaric was the blatant use of volunteers on the ship who had good and true humanitarian intentions.
Some of these humanitarian volunteers were unaware that they were being used by the terror group Hamas as Hamas, Islamic Jihad and the Turkish Humanitarian Relief Foundation used both diplomats and volunteers from the UK, the US, Sweden, France, Germany and other countries as human shields as Hamas attacked a peaceful IDF boarding force with guns, knives and clubs.
Just before sunrise the IDF Navy intercepted six ships that were attempting to break the maritime closure of the Gaza Strip. Israel and the Israel Navy provided numerous warnings issued prior to the incident. The Israel Navy requested that the Hamas backed ships to redirect themselves towards Ashdod where they would be able to unload their aid supplies which would then be transferred to Gaza after undergoing security inspections.
Israel provides tons of food, water, medical supplies and fuel to Gaza on a daily basis. Israeli officials repeated that if this was a true humanitarian event, not a PR exercise, Hamas would have used the existing channels - the UN, the EU and Israel to transfer whatever cargo they had.
During the boarding of the Gaza flotilla ships, protesters onboard demonstrated that this was not a non violent event as they attacked IDF Naval personnel with live fire and light weaponry including knives and clubs.
"The Palestinian Gaza demonstrators had clearly prepared their weapons in advance for this specific purpose," the IDF told the Israel News Agency....
Once again, a demonstration of the "power of the farce".
It might have been wiser if Israel was more vocal, earlier and often, about the intentions of this phony relief stunt. Perhaps continuously announcing that all of the relief supplies on the ships would be transported to the Gaza strip at anytime by Israel free of charge.
Those ships had 800 people on board? Does Gaza have a shortage of people now? [sarcasm off]
Let's hope that getting used as human sheilds opens the eyes of those dhimmwits!
Israel did the right thing. I'm just sorry they weren't ready for for what was there; A trap.
"War is deception" Moham mud.
Floating human shields. Innovation in getting others to die for your cause.
"Israel provides tons of food, water, medical supplies and fuel to Gaza on a daily basis. "
a lot more than is given by the "Muslim" countries...
No doubt the antisemitic and Muslim world will play the propaganda and blame game to the tilt against Israel and the Muslims will be defined as martyrs.
This story will be pushed to the front page of the MSM and push the Gulf oil story in the back. Already the BBC's first lead story reflects a bias spin towards Israel-http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/world/middle_east/10195838.stm.
There are clearly understood channels for humanitarian aid to Gaza and truck loads of supplies deliver this aid everyday, but this group decided to defy that to deliberately create a provocation against the actions of Israel.
Israel has every right to board these ships to be sure there are no weapons on them.
Imagine if Florida had been taken over by Hamas and they where firing rockets into neighboring states, what do you think the US Military would do?

Propose meetings to negotiate peace?

Welcome to the real world. Death follows wherever Islam goes. Islam deceives, threatens, and kills whatever comes in its path. These clueless 'volunteers' who though they were going on a humanitarian mission (as human shields for Jihad) now suffered Islamic reality by joining the cult members who delivered them for sacrifice.
Be afraid, be very afraid. Islam-ignorance can kill you.
Feeding the hungry or the Palestinian Jihad?
You have to admit that the Arabs who call themselves "Palestinians" are very good at developing win/win strategies that hurts the reputation of the Israeli enemy trying to defend itself against the Jihad.
Arabs in Gaza are not exactly starving. They are the most well fed and cared for "refugees" the world has ever seen. Starving people don´t make war they just quietly suffer. The extreme high level of violence among “Palestinians” themselves and against Israel is almost as astounding as their reproductive rate.
We may seek explanation to the violence in the Jihad ideology of Islam but I suggest we also look at some basic human facts enabling the evolution and reproduction of a “people” hell bend on war and genocide. Because the gullible West can be blamed of fuelling the conflict, the murders and genocide with its short sighted humanitarian aid to the eternal refugees of Gaza and The West Bank. And for always blaming Israel when the tiny country tries to defend itself against the genocidal ikslamists and terrorists.
According to the German sociologist and economist Gunnar Heinsohn, who heads the Raphael Lemkin Institute at the University of Bremen, Europe's first institute devoted to comparative genocide research, the first step in solving the Middle East conflict is simple:
“Stop funding a Palestinian youth bulge, and the fighting will stop too.”
Below some quotes from an article in Wall Street Journal Heinsohn wrote in January 2009: “Ending the West's Proxy War Against Israel”:
“As the world decries Israel's attempt to defend itself from the rocket attacks coming from Gaza, consider this: When Hamas routed Fatah in Gaza in 2007, it cost nearly 350 lives and 1,000 wounded. Fatah's surrender brought only a temporary stop to the type of violence and bloodshed that are commonly seen in lands where at least 30% of the male population is in the 15-to-29 age bracket.
In such "youth bulge" countries, young men tend to eliminate each other or get killed in aggressive wars until a balance is reached between their ambitions and the number of acceptable positions available in their society. In Arab nations such as Lebanon (150,000 dead in the civil war between 1975 and 1990) or Algeria (200,000 dead in the Islamists' war against their own people between 1999 and 2006), the slaughter abated only when the fertility rates in these countries fell from seven children per woman to fewer than two. The warring stopped because no more warriors were being born.
In Gaza, however, there has been no demographic disarmament. The average woman still bears six babies. For every 1,000 men aged 40-44, there are 4,300 boys aged 0-4 years. In the U.S. the latter figure is 1,000, and in the U.K. it's only 670.
And so the killing continues. In 2005, when Israel was still an occupying force, Gaza lost more young men to gang fights and crime than in its war against the "Zionist enemy." Despite the media's obsession with the Mideast conflict, it has cost many fewer lives than the youth bulges in West Africa, Lebanon or Algeria. In the six decades since Israel's founding, "only" some 62,000 people (40,000 Arabs, 22,000 Jews) have been killed in all the Israeli-Arab wars and Palestinian terror attacks. During that same time, some 11 million Muslims have been killed in wars and terror attacks -- mostly at the hands of other Muslims.
The reason for Gaza's endless youth bulge is that a large majority of its population does not have to provide for its offspring. Most babies are fed, clothed, vaccinated and educated by UNRWA, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East. Unlike the U.N. High Commission for Refugees, which deals with the rest of the world's refugees and aims to settle them in their respective host countries, UNRWA perpetuates the Palestinian problem by classifying as refugees not only those who originally fled their homes, but all of their descendents as well.
UNRWA is benevolently funded by the U.S. (31%) and the European Union (nearly 50%) -- only 7% of the funds come from Muslim sources. Thanks to the West's largesse, nearly the entire population of Gaza lives in a kind of lowly but regularly paid dependence. One result of this unlimited welfare is an endless population boom. Between 1950 and 2008, Gaza's population has grown from 240,000 to 1.5 million. The West basically created a new Near Eastern people in Gaza that at current trends will reach three million in 2040. Within that period, Gazans may alter the justifications and directions of their aggression but are unlikely to stop the aggression itself.
As long as we continue to subsidize Gaza's extreme demographic armament, young Palestinians will likely continue killing their brothers or neighbors. And yet, despite claiming that it wants to bring peace to the region, the West continues to make the population explosion in Gaza worse every year. By generously supporting UNRWA's budget, the West assists a rate of population increase that is 10 times higher than in their own countries. Much is being said about Iran waging a proxy war against Israel by supporting Hezbollah and Hamas. One may argue that by fueling Gaza's untenable population explosion, the West unintentionally finances a war by proxy against the Jews of Israel.
If we seriously want to avoid another generation of war in Gaza, we must have the courage to tell the Gazans that they will have to start looking after their children themselves, without UNRWA's help. This would force Palestinians to focus on building an economy instead of freeing them up to wage war. Of course, every baby lured into the world by our money up to now would still have our assistance.
Many of Gaza's young -- like in much of the Muslim world -- dream of leaving anyway. Who would not want to get out of that strip of land but the international NGOs and social workers whose careers depend on perpetuating Gaza's misery?”

Great article, Ipso. We are feeding the Hamas monster with humanitarian aid.

Hamas may stop that by itself anyway, as they continue to attack UN facilities, like the summer youth camp they burned to the ground in their Jihad. UNRWA is next.

They wage war because that is what they are programmed to do, even if it kills them.
What an excellent post, Ipso! And thank you for providing a link to the source!
I concluded long ago that people who are tired out by the rigors of earning an honest living are happier and are not as likely to cause much social trouble. Working also promotes their sense of dignity and gives them incentive to maintain social stability.
For those who are physically able to work but will not or cannot find work, an option that might be considered is to put them on a reduced calorie diet such as those approved by many prisons or jails. The consumers are fed enough to maintain the health of a sedentary person, but not enough to give them an over-abundance of energy that can be readily converted into mischief.
NGOs have developed dietary guidelines for use in logistical planning for famine relief, and those guidelines should also suffice for humanitarian purposes in Gaza. This would seem to be approximately 1900 calories per person per day of culturally appropriate food, with additional flavorings & nutritional supplements if the relief diet is lacking them (ie familiar seasonings & vitamins). http://www.fao.org/docrep/W0073e/w0073e05.htm#P5044_574043 (Chapter 24).
Some NGOs also engage in "work for food" programs in which projects of significant public benefit to the affected population can be accomplished while preserving the dignity of those receiving the aid.
