Worth committing mass-murder for
The war on free speech continues to escalate. Nonetheless, despite the fact that these plotters were caught, on this front as of yet only one side is really fighting, or has any comprehensive realization of what is at stake. "Detained militant in Iraq details World Cup plot," by Qassim Abdul-Zahra for AP, May 18 (thanks to Jos):
BAGHDAD -- An al-Qaida militant detained in Iraq on suspicion of plotting to attack the World Cup told The Associated Press on Tuesday that he wanted to target Danish and Dutch teams to avenge insults against the Prophet Muhammad.Iraqi security forces announced the arrest of Saudi citizen Abdullah Azam Saleh al-Qahtani Monday, saying he was suspected of planning an attack in South Africa during the World Cup beginning June 11.
During an interview arranged by the Iraqi security officials holding al-Qahtani, he described the plot and said the idea of attacking the World Cup came up in late 2009 during talks with friends over content in the Western media that was offensive to Muslims.
"We discussed the possibility of taking revenge for the insults of the Prophet by attacking Denmark and Holland," he said....
"The goal was to attack the Danish and the Dutch teams and their fans," the militant said. "If we were not able to reach the teams, then we'd target the fans," he said, adding that they hoped to use guns and car bombs....
Now for decades, the libs have been blaming US foreign policy for all the world's ills. One wonders how they'll spin this one? One thing's certain: For them, the onus of responsibility will lie squarely on the intended victims.
It's a brave new world!
You know, there are a whole slew of reasons for my detesting these Allahu-Akbar jihadi types, but one of the biggest is for their utter stupidity.
What in hell do World Cup fans have to do with motoons?
Why does a dead man have to be avenged? I mean hello--he didn't just die yesterday at the hands of a World Cup motoon-drawing soccer fan-- and the jihadis want blood, not for his murder, but for what is perceived to be "insulting". Muhammed has been dead, for a really long time. I wish he'd stay that way.
An al-Qaida militant detained in Iraq on suspicion of plotting to attack the World Cup told The Associated Press on Tuesday that he wanted to target Danish and Dutch teams to avenge insults against the Prophet Muhammad.
..................
The Danes were to be attacked for the MoToons, and the Dutch for—what?—for Theo van Gogh's film "Submission"? Wasn't van Gogh's brutal murder 'revenge' enough? Of course not, since the film's writer, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, still lives.
And then there is the stalwart Geert Wilders, with his critical comments and his film "Fitna"—and all those happy Dutch, living free lives and breathing free air—why, what an insult to the Ummah! And now, they intend to come to the World Cup and enjoy themselves—how can that be allowed, when the "Prophet" has been 'insulted'?
The MoToons were created and published in Europe, and this sporting event is being held in Africa—and yet, another continent away, in Asia, pious members of the Muslim Ummah are plotting 'vengeance'.
And 'revenge' for those other MoToons—Lars Vilks' MoDoggies, likewise created and published in Europe, was being plotted on yet another continent, this time North America.
The Ummah may take up this or that "cause" from time to time—Salman Rushdie's writings, the MoToons, "Submission", "Fitna", or some local "blasphemy" by some Dhimmi somewhere in Dar-al-Islam who unthinkingly tosses out some newspaper emblazoned with Qur'anic quotes, what have you—but any given 'insult' is largely beside the point.
Can anyone doubt, at this point, that it is Muslims—Muslims anywhere, seeking 'revenge' on Infidels, any Infidels, really, who are seeking to practice their freedoms in the face of the malignancy of Dar-al-Islam?
I find it interesting that these "brave muslim warriors" sing like canaries when they're caught. Warriors? Warriorwussies! "I keel you! Or, if you catch me first I teel you-- everything!"
""The goal was to attack the Danish and the Dutch teams and their fans," the militant said. "If we were not able to reach the teams, then we'd target the fans,"
Typical Muslim nutcase...just wants to kill...it doesn't matter who..
Islam....the religion of death...
That was my first thought, too. What have the teams and their fans to do with the cartoonists? Nothing. This is another evidence that Islam is like Nazism, the Nazis also held families of political opponents accountable. Funny, this happens nearly every day, another evidence of similarity.
A Swiss journalist recently suggested not to ban the burqa, that would be tantamount to curing symptoms, but to ban Islam itself. It's a fascist ideology, so a ban would be perfectly justified. And you're right, Islam makes its adherents stupid.
Glad to be forewarned, how many with this plan are out there? It need be only a few.
Denmark is in the same poule as Holland, so we have to watch out in the game Holland-Denmark.
And the countrymen of Geert Wilders and Kurt Westergaard are to be target for revenge?
Well, the vast majority of Muslims knows that the Islam-critical websites and media lie in wait, and they will use any "ammunition" the jihadists provide them with well. To increase the vote for confrontation-politicians like Wilders. Let that be the deterrent!
What in hell do World Cup fans have to do with motoons?
As epistemology points out, nothing...But do jihadi's attack anything for nothing? There is a reason...but the reason has nothing to do directly with The World Cup...A short story might explain...I once caught a man I knew as a criminal, stealing a coat from the rack in a bar, and heading out the door with it...I stopped him and asked, 'why are you stealing that coat Bucky'? (His real name)...Bucky replied that he had been in the bar the night before and 'they' stolen his coat, so now he is stealing 'theirs'...I convinced him of the error of his ways......See the similarity It's not the World Cup...it's the coat...Bucky was not a Mahoundian, but he would have made a great convert...
Guilt by association, Stormwarning. That's the reason. Even a dhimmi twelve times removed from someone who in any way criticizes or insults Mohammed or Islam, never mind impeding in any manner Islam's quest to take over the world, is fair game (think, for example, 9/11 here or the assertion by many Muslims that no Israeli, even Israeli infants, are innocent). After all, no dhimmi's life is really worth all that much, is it? So, what the hell, time to play "kill the dhimmi" again, even when there's little reason to do so or really no reason at all. Even imagined insults are justification enough to terminate lives of dhimmis (or Muslims who are not properly Muslim enough) to make certain that the true faith eventually prevails everywhere. It's Allah's will you know.
Until the entire West wakes up to the fact that Islam is evil to its core and has followers who view reality quite differently from normal folks (that's right, "normal" is the operative descriptive here), the West will remain in jeopardy. Knowledge is power and pretending is not. Pretending there is a good Islam is a sin against truth, freedom and justice. Time to reckon Islam correctly. Islam must go. It can't be kept around. There's no reforming it and all of its followers are confused human beings, many of them evil as well, just like the religion that they follow. What a burden to all mankind this hideous belief system called Islam is. All sensible and knowledgeable people should detest Islam, as they should detest all totalitarian ideologies which enslave the mind, the body and the soul of man and which view freedom as an enemy.
Only an extreme narcissist over-reacts to trivial matters.
Muslims,You have got to understand that though Muhammad may
be revered by you as your prophet,he is not a prophet to
to billions of other people.Others are under no obligation
to respect or give him any special status.
What about Planes with lots of Dutch Citizens on Board? It is not like Libya has a track record with Planes or anything.
For someone with an omnipotent best friend mohammed sure seems vulnerable to me.
Couldn't allah just make whatever writing implement go limp in the hands of the caricaturist?
Your prophet is not my prophet.
Spoken in a Jackie Mason / Rodney Dangerfield cadence:
Islam!- it ain't a religion, it's a resentment!
And Jeff Foxworthy interrupts to add:
If you're perpetually pissed, ~maybe you're a Muslim.
Many years ago, they made a film out of Nikos Kazantzakis' book, "The Last Temptation of Christ." Some Christians found it offensive because it contained dream sequences in which Satan sent Christ temptations, to try and make him give up. Many Catholics were among those offended, but the Pope, instead of calling for people to blow something up, simply suggested that people not go see the movie. (Note: he did not take away their legal ability to do so.)
In comparison, why don't the Muslims just say they don't like it and pray for him, or something? Avenging slights to someone's honor in blood is pretty barbaric in this day and age. Very... seventh century.
Last week AQ's new leader in Iraq announced "dark days soaked with blood" ahead for the shia. Later that day in the predominantly shia town of Tal Afar, 25 people were blown up and 100 wounded when a pick-up truck detonated on a soccer field, then two suicide-vest wearing bombers blew up in the stands.
"Many people were gathered to watch the match," said the 29-year-old Nashad."We heard a loud explosion and the people behind me shielded me from the shrapnel,"
"I ran away, but then I heard someone shout "Allahu-akbar" and then there was another explosion,"

Oh, People - the public defender for the latest Islamic Jihadist, Faisal Shahzad of Times Square fame, is requesting halal meals for him:
"His attorney, Julia Gatto, asked during the hearing if Shahzad could be provided with halal meals, according to Muslim dietary laws that govern how food is prepared. She didn't comment afterward and didn't immediately return an e-mail message."
This is going too far. You give the Terrorist a ham sandwich, and if he doesn't like it, too effing bad. Here's the link:

Islam is a blood sport.

The muslim comments are soooo much fun! Death threads, combined with requests for respect, and then pleading, and crying, and cursing.
Great entertainment

Militant? Militant? Call him what he is, he's a Moslem Activist fer Chrissakes. Point to the word. Word.

Words matter. Barack Hussein Obama said that. Take it for what it's worth. Take him for his word.
There is a GLOBAL jihad going on, and the whole non-Muslim world is expected to be or become submissive to Sharia law. Under Sharia law, Infidels are not allowed to even say the name Muhammad, much less draw negative pictures of him. Supremacists usually enjoy feeling privileged and powerful, rationalizing hurting, destroying, and even killing those considered beneath them. It would be a signal for Muslims worldwide if such an international event were used to punish non-Muslims for ridiculing Muhammad.
BTW: As President Obama courts the Muslim "world," he recognizes the global jihad in his appeasement and reduces the U.S. to unofficial (for now) dhimmitude.
