A Campbell woman of Yemeni descent says she was abducted by her parents and taken to Hermitage, Pa., where they threatened to send her back to her homeland.
The victim, 32, told police she was leaving a doctor's appointment at an office on U.S. Route 224 when her father came up behind her, grabbed her in a bear hug and put her in the back seat of her car.
The father then got into the driver's seat, and her mother in the back seat with her. They drove to the Sheetz gas station in Hermitage.
No charges have been filed.
"I'm still gathering information and still trying to talk to witnesses," said Boardman Detective Glenn Patton.
The woman told police that her parents, who are Muslim, don't approve of her marriage to a Christian man.
Reached Friday, the woman, who was born in the United States, said she's OK and she wasn't injured.
Unidentified men brought the rental van the woman's parents had been driving to Sheetz, she told police. The men then took the woman's car. Police entered the car as a stolen vehicle.
She and her parents argued, and the parents told her that her brother was going to meet them, take her to New Jersey and that she would be sent to Yemen.
The woman sent her husband a text message, telling him she needed help.
Her husband went to Campbell schools, where his wife's daughter is a student, to remove her from school. Campbell Police Detective Sgt. John Rusnak said the husband was concerned that the girl was in danger and wanted to remove her from school.
While at the school, the husband encountered Sean Kilbane, the school-resource officer, Rusnak said, and relayed the story. Kilbane spent 11 months in Afghanistan while in the military and advised the husband to involve police.
Police called the woman's father's cell phone, but he told them he was at work. When police called his work place, they were told he wasn't at work that day, Rusnak said.
Patrolman John Gulu, who coaches the daughter's softball team, was able to reach the woman on her cell phone.
"The first thing he asked was, 'Are you OK? Are you safe?'" Rusnak said. "She said, 'No.'"
To keep from raising her parents' suspicions, Gulu asked yes-and-no questions, interspersed with questions about softball in case the woman's parents listened, the detective said. [...]

I saw that story in the ABC news, but bleached of identifying details. Something in the nature of it, though, made me wonder...After four years reading and three years posting at jihadwatch, besides reading most of the archives, has given me a kind of sixth sense for which types of news stories turn out - as one investigates further, or as further details seep out - to involve Muslims.

Strictly speaking, he should have called it 'The Rise of Muslim Crime in Australia', because that's what it's about, even though Tim Priest himself doesn't seem quite to have realized that. Very few or none of the 'middle eastern' criminals he describes, are non-Muslim. Possibly a few Lebanese nominal Christians are involved in shady dealings, just as you get nominal Catholics (whether Irish or Italian) among the inner city 'crime families'; but not on anything like the scale and consistency with which every kind of crime flourishes amongst the members of the Ummah.

Wow! That sums it up for me, a man.
A few years back, both in newspapers as in a magazine, Contrast, that was meant for immigrants and descendants an on their side, featured a few articles about the remarkable situation of the many single Muslima's in Holland, from Moroccan and other descent, unable or unwilling to marry and finding that a problem.
Most would not or were not allowed to marry "infidels", but they abhorred in great numbers marriages to Muslim men, who, in vast majority, had this "misogynistic, male chauvinistic" mentality.
If feminists were to take up the cause of enslaved women, like the abolitionists wanted to free the slaves in the 19th century, then they would establish a new "underground railroad" on international basis. How beautiful if young girls could escape their hitherto inescapable "slavery".
And what if the dumb-witted NATO organised it's war in Afghanistan as a war of liberating women, in part? Using fierce female volunteers as a part of the fighting force against the Taliban? But nooooooo, NATO is losing, but still sooooo respectful of moderate Muslim men.
Is it just me, or is there something worrying about the fact that no charges have been filed. This is a case of abduction, imprisonment, and auto theft. Why has no one at all been arrested or charged?
Can it really be that the police don't find the woman's story credible? After all, they did find her in the van, and it wasn't her vehicle. Her vehicle has in fact been listed as stolen. There are corroborating details. What's the deal?
Please tell me I'm just over-suspicious and that it's normal police procedure to have no charges filed and no arrests several days after this type of event. I'd love to be wrong and not to think that the police are being dhimmis and leaving this woman in continued danger from her parents and their sharia-enforcing buddies.

My first thoughts where of the Rifqa Bary case since she is in the custody of the Ohio juvenile authorities. Rifqa's 18th birthday is 3 months away (August 10th)and fortunately for her she ran away to Florida fearing the same was going to happen to her.
This was of course kidnapping of an American citizen and under the law it doesn't matter that it was her parents. She is a married adult women and her parents absolutely have no rights legally over her.
This is now, and should be an FBI Case since she was kidnapped and taken over state lines. And of course she is at high risk of an honor killing as well as being transported to an Islamic country where she would be forced to re-commit to Islam or face death for being with a non-Muslim.
Let's hope the FBI goes hard on pursuing this case and alerting all airports as well.
Good to read on the actual story that she has been rescued from her abductors. The parents need to charged with kidnapping by the FBI.
Right. It's a very dramatic case--abducted woman, rescued by the police from a van, GPS info. from her cell phone, yes-no answer conversation on her cell phone with fake soccer questions to mislead her captors. I just find it really hard to believe that it's normal procedure in these cases for there to be no charges, no arrests. What did they do, just say, "Hi, ma'am, we hear you would like to come with us," and she said, "Sure am glad to see you guys," and then they said, "Good day, sir" to her father and walked away with her? It's nuts.

I'm no expert and I'm not not Marisol or Robert, but I'll throw my two cents in anyway because I've read the texts: Qu'ran 2:221 and 60:10 spell it out pretty clearly (especially 2:221). I surely understand it when it says "And give not (your daughters) in marriage to Al-Mushrikûn till they believe (in Allâh Alone)."
I would imagine the jurists you seek likely use those "unalterbale words of Allah" to help substantiate the "code." It states clearly "and give not (your daughters) in marriage to Al-Mushrikûn ((the idolaters, polytheists, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allâh, pagans, etc.) till they believe (in Allâh Alone)."
Is that not what it says?

"And do not marry Al-Mushrikât (idolatresses, etc.) till they believe (worship Allâh Alone). And indeed a slave woman who believes is better than a (free) Mushrikah (idolatress, etc.), even though she pleases you. And give not (your daughters) in marriage to Al-Mushrikûn till they believe (in Allâh Alone) and verily, a believing slave is better than a (free) Mushrik (idolater, etc.), even though he pleases you. Those (Al-Mushrikûn) invite you to the Fire, but Allâh invites (you) to Paradise and Forgiveness by His Leave, and makes His Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) clear to mankind that they may remember."
Perhaps this verse has been abrogated or something and I just don't know about it?

The whole thing reminds me of a German art critic (I forget his name, but he fled Germany for the US in '36) who said that every time he heard the word "culture" in Nazi Germany he wanted to reach for a revolver. I'm sure the Art Critic would be a happy bunny with Muslim culture, too. There are a lot of similarities in the Nazi and Muslim view of culture-especially in the "domination" crap.
Even just a little bit of knowledge amongst the infidels can go a long way toward fighting Mohammedanism.

Youngstown has really changed then. It had a very rough reputation at one time and the Mooslims would have had to tread very carefully.
I grew up in the area, and it just burns my toast to hear of things like this going on. There is no place in this entire country for Islam.
I don't know about anyone else, but I'd be willing to trade all of our (US) muslims to Mexico in return for an equal number of Mexican illegals (to be made instant citizens).
Even 1 muslim for 10 Mexicans sounds workable.
Hell, 1 muslim for 50, I'd still be good to go!

Eleanor mentioned Quran 60: 10, as a verse which is interpreted as forbidding marriage of Muslim women to non-Muslim men.
Here it is in the N Dawood translation.
"Believers, when believing women seek refuge with you, test them. Allah best knows their faith. *If you find them true believers do not return them to the Infidels; they are not lawful to the Infidels, nor are the Infidels lawful to them."
Yusuf Ali renders that last clause thus: "They [i.e. Muslim women - dda] are not lawful (wives - Y. Ali's explanatory interpolation) for the Unbelievers, nor are the Unbelievers lawful (husbands - Y. Ali's explanatory interpolation) for them".
Sufi Sheikh Sultanhussein Tabandeh of Iran, author of "A Muslim Commentary on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights" [English translation by F. J. Goulding, London, 1970] had this to say on the subject of Muslim/ infidel relations.
"Since Islam regards non-Muslims as on a lower level of belief and conviction,
" if a Muslim kills a non-Muslim…then his punishment must not be the retaliatory death, since the faith and conviction he possesses is loftier than that of the man slain…
"*Again, *the penalties of a non-Muslim guilty of fornication with a Muslim woman are augmented because, in addition to the crime against morality, social duty and religion, he has committed sacrilege, in that he has disgraced a Muslim and thereby cast scorn upon the Muslims in general* {my emphasis - dda}, and so must be executed.

Patrick Sookhdeo, who grew up within Islam, says flatly, in his book "A Christian's Pocket Guide to Islam", that "A Muslim man is permitted to marry a Christian or a Jewish woman, but a Muslim woman can only marry a Muslim man". He does not at that point cite the texts that are used to support that particular rule, but I am sure he would be aware of Quran 60: 10 and of the main sharia rulebooks.

Mostly on accounta we've been experiencing quite a bit of that kind of thing of late. The past 3 months or so have been particularly interesting. Many give the old..."I am hear to learn knowing nothing about islam" line. They then go on to defend it like it was their first and only born or show abnormally intimate knowledge of some obscure aspect of a picture or statement.
It's actually, for me at least, entertaining as hell. But...what's a bridge without a Troll? Just some goats traveling...
