It turns out it's not just Iranians who have seen fit to draw equivalences between the Holocaust and mocking Islam and Muhammad (thanks to Kim).
Of course, the issue is complicated by the propensity among Muslim communities for Holocaust denial. So, drawing that same equivalence, if they think the Holocaust is trivial or didn't happen, does that mean the Muhammad cartoons don't matter, either?

But here's why their argument ultimately falls flat: Death threats and actual attempts at murder have been in plentiful supply for Muhammad cartoons. No matter how Muslims attempt to mock the Holocaust as a sacred but unfounded "belief" in the West, there will be no reciprocal response for this event. In a society that values free speech, they are free to make fools of themselves for all to see. The only reaction needed is to publicize it, and to respond -- with more free speech.

Sounds as if they are saying Muhammad = Holocaust. It's not really far from the truth, is it?
Europe will censor it, probably, because Europe's understanding of freedom is a little tenuous, so they don't have anything like the U.S. First Amendment. But the U.S. government won't censor "draw the holocaust day." Facebook as a private organization might end up refusing to carry it, though I doubt that. And I'll bet you won't have many Jews calling for government censorship of it. You certainly won't see photos of large crowds of Jews carrying signs saying "death to those who draw the Holocaust." You won't find a Jewish woman with her body, head, hands, and even her whole face hidden behind a black shroud (as if she were a Tolkien ring-wraith, or Darth Vader, or other veritable incarnation of benightedness) and saying passionately she would slaughter like a lamb the person who started the "draw the holocaust" facebook page. (There is a news video of a Muslim woman dressed like that who hysterically she would slaughter cartoonist Lars Vilks like a lamb and affirms that she means it.) You won't have large crowds of Jews in Israel or elsewhere rioting and murdering over cartoons of the holocaust. The Muslims drawing this will only help to reveal themselves as having a Nazi-like mindset. They will help with the education of non-Muslims.

Actually, the West is not uniform on this issue. The governments of various countries of Europe in fact punish people for various types of Holocaust denial, or "negationism" -- Italy, Germany, France, Austria, Belgium, Spain, Portugal and Switzerland all have various legal penalties for negationism.
Some of the more famous cases have been:
In 1979, Robert Faurisson, was sentenced to three months imprisonment after saying that the Holocaust was a "Zionist invention" and that the gas chambers did not exist, and was also fined 3.6 million francs (though the fine was later waived).
In 1998, Roger Garaudy was fined 120,000 francs for having a chapter in his book titled "The myth of the six million".
In 2006, David Irving was sentenced by an Austrian court to three years in prison because he denied the gas chambers. In that same year, a French court upheld an appeal that sent George Theil to prison for saying the gas chambers were "impossible".

You might notice how intensely illogical the above is—the worst of the Soviet massacres of their own people took place in the 1920s and 1930s—before the Holocaust in its full measure occurred. In addition, the Soviet Union—a regime that was quite anti-Semitic itself—*never* murdered its own people, or later, those of Eastern Europe, *in the name of the Holocaust or the Jews*. Then, there were those that just depicted Jews burning in hell.
