All the time I hear how they want us to be "sensitive" to their "plight". Please.
They are not sensitive to our way of life, or our religion. Why is it always a one way street with them? (rhetorical question).

Who could possibly object to Muslims calling faithful Muslims like Osama bin Laden what they are? Devout Muslims. These devout Muslims "are defiling, perverting and destroying a great world religion." "Their actions are an abomination to authentic Islamic teachings." This rabbi is playing the part of a patsy; a sucker.....Boteach looks for empty condemnations, platitudes; symbolism. R. Boteach aids Islam in its quest to conquer the west, even as he reduces our will to fight and survive.

No it won't. What a lie. The best way for a wound to heal is to completely remove the irritant.

We get it, truthophobes. Here's the truth: you are building that monstrosity near Ground Zero so you can dance on the graves of those that were murdered on 9/11 -- like some kind of sick 'n twisted victory monument to allah. You will never sell us on the lie that this will bring about healing. Quite the contrary, and you know it.

Well, there goes the neighborhood. Only think what wonderful people will be drawn to this wonderful mosque.

To me, the "mosque" part has the sound of an a la carte kind of thing, which is to say that probably no real services will be held except for Ramadan, maybe.

In actuality, it will probably be a place for tourist riff-raff to bang their heads against the floor, while they thank their illah that Muslims have "arrived".

If they can make it there, they'll make it anywhere...

The whole of islam is one big Charade of Peace ...

If they manage to build it, you could always blow it up at it's opening 'prayer' meeting.

Then announce plans to build a cathedral on top of it, as it will "help heal the wound".

This is an attempt at the total humiliation of islams perceived 'greatest enemy'. If the attempt succeeds then it is the moral dhimmification of the nation.

I have every faith that the man on the street in the USA will willingly let this happen.

Yes—and what sort of building did these so-anxious Muslims purchase? A severely damaged retail store—so badly damaged because it had an airplane's landing gear punch through the roof one fine day back in September of 2001.

Build it. U.S. citizens and businesses will earn money from it being built and then moslems can watch it crumble before it ever gets used for its intended purpose.

Thanks for the links, Graven & Gymgal. This whole thing is such an outrage that it defies description. I can't think of anything more debasing and dishonorable. The slideshow really drives that home, though it made me a little nauseous--I think it was the garbed muslim; or was it the landing-gear strut?

I simply can't believe that every US citizen hasn't seen through this obscene travesty as have all the posters here on JW. It's sole purpose is to humiliate and colonize.
I pray that my American friends will be moved to prevent the unspeakable desecration of such a sacred site by whatever means necessary, including massive civil disobedience.
Surely this is the point at which a line in the sand must be drawn.

Islam has manouvered and embedded itself into a position to undermne the values and institutions of the West with an intellectual cunning, moral effrontery, and indecent rapidity that post 9/11, must be further confirmation of divine assistance than its dunderheaded enablers are yet to realise. Although they believed that Islam could be used tactically for their own ends, their unschooled complancency is hiding the fact that it is Islam that is strategically exploiting them.
Because you don't build aircraft carriers, or look quaint, does not mean that you can't think ahead.
For their own sakes, at least,the educated(sic)governances should have heeded the old boxing adage: 'Never,never,underestimate your opponent'.

Observing this grotesque travesty unfold, I find it very troubling that such a ghoulish affront to our nationhood is being contemplated. Am I to believe such a physical assault might actually be allowed? This repugnant insult, could not germinate, let alone bloom, in the Western US where I am so fortunate to reside. New York City, have you no shame? Is the core of your self image so blighted there remains no humiliation you will not willingly endure. You're depraved attacker swaggers toward you a second time.... while your horror stricken family watches in complete and utter revulsion.
