Is·lam·ize - To convert to Islam, to cause to conform to Islamic law or precepts.

Islamization - the process of a society's conversion to the religion of Islam.

America is a nation of many faiths and creeds. It is not a Muslim country. It is therefore improper for America to be Islamized. SIOA is not disparaging to the Muslims or the Islamic religion. It is this ruling that disparaging to Americans and America!

There was a brief period during the Hitler-Stalin pact when Nazi troops were pouring into Russia and Stalin's secret police were still arresting people for 'anti-Nazi speech' because no one bothered to change the arrest orders.

The muslim relgion is terror, and is in disrepute. It is simply a trash religion. With a closet muslim in the white house, this is surely no surprise. There probably has been many government edicts since obama has entered the white house, all in favor of his muslim loving, anti western, anti Israel stance.

No matter what SIOA is called by name,I will continue to support them, both morally and monetarily. The name does not really matter that much, since their mission is more important. No matter what the name, the mission is to really expose the muslim vermin, and true filth both being taught by what is in their koran, and what is lived by the followers who are currently poluting out nation, by breathing the air of freedom, which they do not deserve, respect, and certainly did not work or die to achieve, either by moral support, or national service.

Gawd...what's next? Books burned? Blogs taken down? All dissenters on Watch Lists?

Replace "Islamization" with "Judiation" or "Christianization" and apply for a trade-mark. You won't get those, either.

The law is being impartially and fairly applied, in this case. Save your outrage for something that actually is an outrage.

the only thing missing here is the possibility of pamphlet guidance from the government that includes the points that disurb muslims and the points that don't and if this is the case honestly freedom of speech and equality of all human beings before the law and US Constitution might be subject to debate potentially.

The Trademark office appears to be infiltrated by PCMC apologists. The language and phraseology of the denial ruling are too precisely crafted not to have been written by someone pushing this PCMC POV, and is the kind of language that one expects (and finds) on Liberal sites such as Huffington Post. It would be interesting to know the identity of the person who drafted this ruling, who his/her supervisor is - in fact the names in all the boxes of the organizational chart involved, including legal counsel, in reviewing and approving the ruling before it was finalized and released.

Just a thought:

Maybe the organization name could be changed to " Stop Sharia in America" instead of _"Stop Islamization of America"

This way you can still continue with the same program which should be the goal since most political bureacrats don't have a clue what sharia is or means.

Now having said that I still think the effort to use the first trade mark should be pursued in court.

You should bring a First Amendment suit. This is clearly selective enforcement. The right to speak is also the right to have commercial speech protected…at least that is what the Supreme Court held in the Hillary Clinton Movie case recently. Well, a trademark or a copyright is a way of protecting your speech…period. If there is any example of a trademark being granted for a symbol that is insulting to Christianity, then you have a clear case of selective enforcement violating the freedom of speech. It would not be viewpoint neutral. Please sue.

Muslims disparage themselves daily with their ongoing demands and acts of destroying anything in their path that doesn't conform to their backward beliefs.

You will lose in federal court as the TRADEMARK office is following laws and rules make by the government to give trademark protect to marks than insult other people, religion, or entric group. Than good lawyer will alway advise this client when not to sue.

So Robert, when does the lawsuit get filed? There are at least two major points in that refusal that LEAP over the line drawn by the first Amendment!

This helps explain why one can love his country while at the same time having nothing but contempt for its government. America is good. The idea of America is noble. If America ceased to exist, sensible people should still dream of her (this would, of course, exclude lots of folks, including a hell of lot across the pond in Western Europe, where foolish people in droves exist who are convinced they are SO sophisticated compared to Americans, never mind that their social network systems are just giant ponzi schemes which are now collapsing).

But as for America's government, it has become populated with mediocrities and worse. This matter of the SIOA trademark logo is a case in point.

Please correct me if I'm wrong here. But this is a denial of trademark registration, not freedom of speech per se, right? And as such, it doesn't limit what SIOA can say or do within the law, correct? If I understand correctly, though, it denies SIOA the sole-ownership & protection of their name and logo.

Don't get me wrong here, I'm not trying to minimize this--I think it sucks! Just trying to clarify the issue. As nearly as I can analogize it, it's akin to the same denial, for, say, Mothers Against Drunk Driving because it may be offensive to drunk drivers...

So what this does is deny Pam's/Robert's group exclusivity on the use of that name. So if another 'rogue' group of anti-Muslims start using that logo for anti-Islamic activities having nothing to do w/ Pam or Robert, nobody can stop them.

I suggest changing the name to something which the US govt will be hard pressed to deny. Call it the 'Jihad against Islam Foundation' or JAIF. Since the US govt thinks that there is nothing wrong w/ Islam, and no such thing as Jihad, there is nothing wrong w/ Jihad, and the only Jihad is positive. WEll, duhhhhh! The decision by the politically correct bureaucrats in the trademark office confirms that the entire federal government is playing Russian roulette with the security of the U.S. and its citizens. Not that the trademark bureaucrats have anything to do with national security but their explanation for denial of the trademark proves that ignorance or denial of islam's deadly threat to this country have permeated the federal bureaucracy at every level.

Attorney General Holder couldn't bring himself to blame or name islam and muslims for attacking and trying to attack America because he didn't want to insult a "religion". In reality, he probably didn't want to insult his law firm's numerous terrorist clients. He has appointed an unspecified number of lawyers who have represented terrorists to positions in his office, a conflict of interest if I ever saw one, but the rights of terrorists are more important than the interests of the American people to the current administration. I live in eager anticipation of the day this corrupt, destructive, despicable gang of Chicago thugs are sent packing. There won't be much left to destroy after four years but at least I won't have to listen to Obama's petulant, arrogant voice every time I turn on the television or radio.

I heard that the bureaucrats in Homeland Security are already writing the rules for imminent amnesty for 13 million illegal aliens. That's how confident they are of passing their next big debacle against the will of the people. Their 'comprehensive' immigration reform will consist of giving 13 million illegals citizenship in time for the next election so they can vote democratic. If only there was some way to make the traitors pay for their betrayal of the American people and the Constitution instead of rewarding them with continued income and benefits even if they are not reelected. The organisation SIOA is a great organisation. But about the name; it is indicating something the organisation is AGAINST, not FOR. I learned from the book "The Secret" and many other books, that it is imperative to be first and foremost FOR something instead of AGAINST something.

The reason given was that our minds inevitably think about what we talk about and it blurs the distinction between what we are FOR or AGAINST while it tends to materialize what it thinks. So thinking about what one is AGAINST helps to materialize it in this view, because it is thought about. With passion. People attract what they long for, but also what they fear, it was explained.

So let us be for the opposite of Islam; All Democratic freedoms, values, laws, ideas. And we may have an organisation called UDN(a); United Democratic Nations. That is a variation but improvement on the United Nations, it is international, but can have sub-departments in every country.

Said to SIOA in humility, in great admiration of their cause.

I wonder if the location of the Trademark and Patent office being in Alexandria, VA has anything to do with their decision? The Islamic Saudi Academy (pre K through 12th) has a very powerful presence in the area. Wasn't one of the 19 attackers an alumnus? Maybe just a coincidence.
Although their decision is obviously another dhimmi response, I would hate to see $ spent in lawsuits instead of educating the majority of naive Americans on what is taking place under our noses. We can still use the SIOA symbol and logo, its just not protected by law. AFter it gets some recognition in the media, no one else would DARE use it for fear of being associated with us.
