"Youths" at it again in Europe. At least this time AP manages to summon up a shred or two of integrity, and identifies them as "Arab" -- although that in itself is not quite accurate, since one was evidently a German Muslim.

"I don't remember such a dramatic attack in Germany in recent times," said Michael Fuerst, the head of the Jewish community of the state of Lower Saxony.
Six suspects have been identified -- five Arabic immigrants and one German -- and police are looking for the other three, police said. The six range from nine to 19 years old and have been questioned by police....
Stephan Kramer of the Central Council of Jews in Germany condemned the attack.
"This latest incident shows something we have not experienced before: A growing radicalization of young Muslims, which affects not only the Jewish community but the entire German community," Kramer told The Associated Press....
Alla Volodarska of the Progressive Jewish community of Hannover dance group said its members were still in shock.
"What happened is just so awful," Volodarska told the AP. "The teenagers started throwing stones the moment our dance group was announced, even before they started dancing."...

No, I think it's more likely that this report does what so many other MSM reports do -- assume that a Muslim citizen of a Western country has actually become a citizen -- thus a Muslim who happens to be a German citizen is referred to as "a German". While this is officially and superficially correct, it is grievously incorrect on so many other levels.
Reading that Qur'an verse Mr Spencer quoted - "Strongest among men in enmity to the believers wilt thou find the Jews..." -- Qur'an 5:82 - one is struck by the fact that it is a precise reversal of reality.
Just turn it around and look what you get - 'Strongest among men in enmity to the Jews wilt thou find the Muslims'. Which is, I think, perfectly true.
In other words, Qur'an 5: 82 is a classic example of the Muslim propensity for projection, displayed in their source text.
Some of the attackers were as young as nine years old. If anyone had laid a hand on them, there may have been charges.
Wafa Sultan said her father's house was the place where she was taught to despise Jews. Looking at the age of some of these "youths," it's apparent that there are other such houses.
They felt threatened by a dance group? What kinds of cowards are these?
I guess we know that, though.
Why is this news? Attacking, raping, and killing Jews is legal in Germany. It is part of their national heritage. I wouldn't be surprised if these youths don't receive medals from the German government for this action.
People can now be openly anti-Semitic just as long as it is done in the name of islam, then it is ok and even a politician or two can join in the fun.

Well, it is of course possible that the "one German" is an ethnic German Muslim "revert", but it is far more likely that this 'German' is either a naturalized 'Arabic immigrant' himself—or, even more likely, the child of same.
I very much doubt there is anything particularly "German" about this guy—and that it is just another indication of the foolishness of Western immigration policy.

The crowd of surrounding Germans did nothing to stop the attack on the Jews. They apparently decided to leave the matter to the authorities to investigate and handle.

Actually, tolerance for Jews was part of the German national heritage for a much longer time than intolerance. Prior to the Nazis, Germany was the most liberal country in Europe in regard to Jews. There were no pogroms in Germany, and no Dreyfuss cases. Jews regarded Germany as the best country in Europe in which to live, and Germany (along with the U.S.)was the favored destination of Jews emigrating from eastern Europe. They'd had full rights of citizenship there since the mid-19th century. They were mostly assimilated, and regarded themselves as German, and were regarded as such by most Germans. That was part of the reason so many of them refused to flee after the Nazis took power: they couldn't believe what was happening in Germany.

Haven't you seen some Jews walking together with Muslims protesting against Israel? How about the peace at any cost Jews? Well they are all progressives or leftards. "Progressive Jewish Community" in Europe, and outside the USA in general, indicates that the congregation in question is what would be labeled "Reform" in the United States. Progressive does not indicate a political label. In Germany it means the congregation in question is not affiliated with the mainstream of German Jewry, which is orthodox. In Germany, virtually all congregations are orthodox, even if the individual members are not.
Among European Jews, progressive corresponds to American reform Judaism, while "liberal" denotes what is called Conservative Judaism in the States.
Again, it does not indicate political affiliation.
Worth remembering that during the Mandate period, Muslims on the Temple Mount just loved to throw really big rocks down off the mount, down onto Jews who were trying to pray at the Kotel, or Western Wall. They *still* carry rocks up onto the mount so that they can throw them at Jews as opportunity presents.

I think that when they throw rocks at some poor woman who's been 'convicted' of 'immorality' (very often on imaginary 'evidence', or because she's been raped), and when they throw rocks at Jews and Christians (and I'll bet they throw rocks at Hindus, too, and at Buddhists), they are throwing rocks at what they tell themselves is a manifestation of 'satan'. Thus the fiendish ecstasy of murdering hate with which they are filled - the rush of sadistic pleasure derived from *hurting*, frightening and if possible killing a helpless human being - becomes *holy* and just.

This is exactly the type of data I frequently refer to in general terms. I have seen this time and time again; and anyone who has been paying attention to Mt. We all know that a not insignificant quantity of the youth being brought up in Western Europe are brought up to hate Jews. For them it is enough that the Quran says so, and what the Quran says is always true and a duty, a right.
Most Westerners refuse to accept that a religion would ever demand hatred, and instead they blame the Zionists and Israel. It is the easiest solution now the muslim population is no longer insignificant. Quite simply it doesn´t pay off to support Israel. The hatred of muslims towards Israel is such that they obviously must have a good reason for it: Palestine.
Of course it is "terrible" and "inexcusable" when Jews arew being harassed these days .....but people deep down no longer care: the majority consensus has become that the Jews are asking for it.

To which I would add that after the horror of the war (WW2), Germany was thoroughly scoured and reconstructed -- indeed, the Allies did a similar thing to Germany that the U.S. did with Japan -- after bombing the living shit out of them and after an aggressive land invasion (often going village to village, house to house, killing Nazis), we essentially told Germans how they were going to live and conduct themselves sociopolitically. And of course we gave them loads of money to help them rebuild their infrastructure.
An important part of this reconstruction of Germany was to try to utterly purify it of Nazism -- a thorough ideological scouring that tried, and continues to try, to root out any lingering Nazi germs that might remain. Thus various aspects of Nazism became illegal, including "negationism" (Holocaust denial), with legal restrictions on the use of the swastika, on the availability of Mein Kampf, and of course on the Nazi Party itself.
This transformation of wartime Germany into a post-war Germany wasn't merely external and legal -- for the most part, the German people actually changed and came to abhor that horrible convulsion in their history.
This brings us to a remark made by commenter George above:

Here's where the situation gets complicated. Germany's transformation from a Nazi State and a Nazi Society into quite literally an Anti-Nazi State and an Anti-Nazi Society entailed psychological, educational, sociological, political, legal and ideological measures so intensely comprehensive and profound, they went too far.
Of course, they didn't go too far with regard to Nazism per se -- after the horror of German Nazism, it's understandable to be extreme in terms of extirpation of the disease. But the extremism of the cure caused side effects -- most significantly for the problem of Western myopia to the danger of Islam, it inculcated a revulsion to any kind of bigotry so profound and intense it not only said "Never Again" to bigotry against Jews, but also "Never Again" to bigotry against any People -- and this hypersensitivity to bigotry in the post-war years, coinciding with the strengthening of PC MC throughout the West, becomes all the more acutely intensified when the People who might be targets of bigotry are perceived to be "ethnic" -- as Muslims overwhelmingly are, for reasons not unreasonable, as most of them in fact look ethnic.
Thus what we have here is a supreme irony: The very same process that has purged Germany of bigotry against any People has rendered it incapable of perceiving that the very same People they are protecting from bigotry are themselves the worst practitioners of bigotry against other People. This German attitude (and it is replicated in various forms throughout the West under the domination of PC MC) is classically irrational: a stubborn refusal to think outside the box, even when the data shows that your paradigm is faulty.
Each war the West became swept up by had this curious feature of an irrational attachment to a previous paradigm, and it was a major factor in causing untold casualties as each time the Good Guys slowly learned from their initial mistake: Prior to, and at, the outbreak of World War One, military strategists thought any future war would follow a preconceived pattern. The events of the outbreak precipitously unraveled this notion, and historians blame the high casualties on this stubbornness and slowness to think flexibly and imaginatively.
The same mistake was repeated prior to World War Two. It was assumed that the next war would follow the template of World War One. Hitler's new tactics -- and Hitler's ideological madness itself -- broke the mold, and again the retardation and mental marriage to the previous paradigm of the Allies enabled Hitler's rise, and then Hitler's military successes, and untold casualties.
Now the West is indulging in the same erroneous habit: It is thinking of the next war in terms of the last war. It assumes that it has to prevent "another Hitler" -- in the form of a Western ideological movement that will be "bigoted" against a People. And so, all the signs of increasing alarm at, and intolerance of, Muslims are seen as signs not of the genuinely alarming words and deeds of Muslims themselves, but rather of indications of the rise of another Western fascism against this People perceived to be ethnic, and therefore necessarily a target of Western bigotry.
To think outside the box, the West would have to reverse the formula it has become wedded to: the very same People it is so anxious to protect from bigotry is, in fact, the source of a bigotry so heinous and dangerous, this People has to be stopped. But to utter those words, to think that thought -- this Ethnic People has to be stopped -- causes the modern Westerner to recoil in revulsion and horror at what he feels to be a revival of an evil tendency within himself and within his civilization, which has perpetrated so many evils against Ethnic Peoples in the past. And of course Hitler's outrages are incoherently lumped in with this sense of shame at one's own West -- even though the West itself spent blood, sweat, tears and money fighting against Hitler.
I think very few here believe that Germans are Nazis any more than, say, French or Slovaks, or Americans are Nazis. A comment from ebonystone (June 24, 2010 5:34 PM) replying to Mystical Time Traveler supports convincingly my respectful disagreement with your conclusion.

The Jews need to make "making babies" Job 1. Without that, the Islamic and other anti-semitic efforts will be not only successful but superfluous - the Jews will simply fade away, while the Muslims hoards "multiply like rats" (to quote Oriana Fallaci).

I am named as one of these anti-Semitism-causing progressive Jews, although I would never say something so (in my humble opinion) stupid as that a nation that exists shouldn’t. Many of the other Jews named by Rosenfeld are my comrades and friends, people I like and admire: Tony Kushner, Adrienne Rich, Alisa Solomon, Esther Kaplan, Irena Klepfisz, Daniel Boyarin, Sara Roy. They are hardly what you’d call ‘self-hating Jews.’ Many have — as I have — devoted decades to building Jewish community, culture, and radical Jewish politics. Many of us are strongly connected to the Israeli and Palestinian peace camps, whose perspective Rosenfeld never mentions, even at a time when growing numbers of Israelis clamor for peace, academics support boycotts, high school students resist the draft, soldiers refuse to serve in the occupied territories. They ask for our help in isolating and pressuring their government to negotiate an end to this grotesque occupation of Palestinian communities by the IDF, including border checkpoints where children in need of medical care have died waiting; the wall, dubbed with some accuracy “apartheid wall”; the house demolitions; the destruction of Lebanon’s infrastructure; not to mention the precariousness and desensitization of Israeli lives.
This episode should not surprise anyone familiar with Islam. During WW-2 Hitler conspired with the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem to bring Palestinians into the SS. Hitler said I like Muslims they are killers while Christians are wimps! No matter where you go you still find anti Semitism. A short while ago I had some business dealings with a white American who was quite anti semitic and the strange thing was that he was married to a very nice black lady! Since I was serving this man I could not get into an argument with him but maybe someday I will meet him again in a non professional setting and we can discuss his bigotry further?

When young Arabs attack a Jewish dance troupe (we reported) we must understand that it has nothing to do with Islam. Incidents like that may not under any circumstances become politicized, which happens obviously automatically, if one speaks about it. In addition Muslim federations cannot be held responsible for something like that, because anti-Semitism occurs in every society. Aiman Mazyek explains the position of the Central Council of Muslims in Germany.

In response to the following remark:

I would like to remind the readers that Nazism, as a nationalist movement that appealed to the Germans largely because it addressed some of the ramifications of the revenge taken against Germany following WW1, and the negative repercussions of that revenge, did not appeal to so many Germans because of Hitler's (may his memory be cursed and forgotten) anti-Semitism. The issues here are too complicated to be covered with justice, but the German people as a whole had to be propagandized into hating Jews.
About fifteen years after the war, there was an incident in Frankfurt in which a swastika was daubed on the wall of the city synagogue. The public response in Germany was so swift in condemnation that Konrad Adenauer immediately made a public address condemning the incident, which also brought forth what can only be described as a prolonged and fevered condemnation on the part of many prominent German figures, who condemned the one act in the strongest of language.
Anti-Semitic prejudice was actually weaker in Germany than it was in, for instance, France or England.
I recommend readers take a look at the wartime diaries of Wiktor Klemperer, a converted German Jewish professor who maintained his journals throughout the Nazi period. Ironically, he encountered many German gentiles who expressed their disagreement with the regime's anti-Semitism, handed him food surreptitiousely, greeted him on the street, expressed their disagreement with the regime, etc. The issue is complicated.
When I lived in Germany in the 1980s I made a point of wearing the traditional Jewish head-covering in public. I wanted to see the reception I would get from the average person. Far from eliciting any negative looks or comments, it was common for Germans to greet me in Hebrew, or to smile and say "Hello." It is telling, however, that I was once followed by a group of Arabs in Heidelberg, who hissed at me and made negative comments.
It seems that these racist incidents ARE in fact the product of Arab and Islamic prejudice, and rarely stem from native Europeans.
