Islamic scholar in UK offended by turkey bacon

Deep thoughts from the Muslim "community."

Wow, Islamic faith is so easy to sway, so say their scholars. One whiff of turkey bacon is going to send the whole Muslim community out for bacon and eggs, and BLTs, oh no, there will be chaos on the streets, murders, rape, bombings... oh wait, they do that already.

Again, hurt feelings and hurt sensibilities, so easy to offend Muslims and their so called "scholars" come to the rescue. Like the Boob-quake guy, jeeze, when will we and them learn...

Soon infidels will not be allowed to even cook bacon, as the delicious smell wafting into the noses of muslims may drive them mad for pork!

So they're worried about turkey bacon seducing the faithful into eating pork. What about all the turkey sausages, turkey cold cuts, turkey bologna, etc? And all the soybean fake sausages and hams? And the other ersatz pork products? I was once persuaded by a vegetarian friend to try a fried falafel patty, which he assured me tasted just like spicy breakfast sausage; it didn't, and I've never tried it again.
And what about the non-alcoholic beers and wines? Should they also be banned, to avoid tempting Moslems to try the "real thing"?
After banning trivial things like fake bacon, the Moslems will move on to more serious matters, like banning anything that might question their religion, and tempt them to try the "real thing" -- in the West, this would most likely be either Christianity or secularism. So all public manifestations of Christianity, such as the ringing of bells, holiday processions, crosses and signs on churches, would have to be eliminated. Then there's education: most of modern science could no longer be taught, as it conflicts with the Koran. Likewise the pre-Islamic history and languages of presently-Islamic areas (such as Egypt, Persia, Syria, Mesopotamia) could no longer be studied or taught: that might lead believers to wonder how such high civilizations -- higher in most cases that the Islamic "civilization" that succeeded them -- could have been achieved without Islam.
Pity poor Islam: such a shallow and childish belief-system that the mere presence of fake bacon on the supermarket shelf threatens it.

It could well lead towards eating the real thing.

Actually, just this once I find myseslf agreeing with a Moslem Scholar. And this is tough for me to admit as a pork producer, but intellectual honesty must prevail.

For example, it is a well known fact that if you take a hit of pot, in a matter of months you'll find yourself nodded out in an alley somewhere with a needle hanging out you arm.

Dr Haifaa Jawed forgot to add "inshallah", just in case. Or perhaps she did, inshallah.

Superstitions, obsessive compulsive. I wonder if there were several personalities ....in addition to the master and the hand puppet.

Clear thinking people:

"There's a want for the product for the halal market, for the pork-free market and for the slimming market."...

So the Muslim market is one of three markets he is trying to reach. He is a good business man - actually. But the turkeys had to be halal slaughtered in order to satisfy that portion of his market.

And yes - I do think it is ridiculous for them to fear fake bacon...But it tends to be a religion of fear and control so it is no surprise...

Luckily there was a voice of reason from a woman:

This is the same rationale that keeps Christians from being able to build or repair churches or prosyletize or ring church bells.

If they get a taste, they might want more and leave Islam in the dust it was born from.

One may try with turkey, but there ain't no fakin' bacon.

Once again, we see how proponents of Shari'a attempt to influence the behavior and mores of non-Muslims, giving the lie to the assertion of many taqiyya-spewing Muslims that Shari'a does not affect non-believers. Stealth jihad proceeds apace.

And looks like we must add 'turkey bacon' to the long, long list of The Things That Offend Muslims.

He's claiming it's the 'islamic opinion ', whatever that
is , but of course it's HIS opinion - made up on the spot and designed , like a lot of their 'opinions' , to be the opposite of what we believe .
Why don't they leave us alone and mind their own business -FO back to their muslim countries and just spread their misery among themselves ?

These people who live in but don't like the West and our eating habits should take an early flight back to some islamic paradise or other. Don't be surprised at the BBC, or `al Beeb' as it often called. They are leading the field in dhimmitude!
