Kashmiri Misunderstanders Of Islam threaten Hindu pilgrimages

Doesn't Syed Ali Geelani know that Islam teaches tolerance? Has he been learning Islam from Islamophobes? When is Honest Ibe Hooper of CAIR going to catch a flight to Kashmir to straighten him out about the true nature of Islam?

But of course, Geelani is not against the pilgrimage. He knows all about how tolerant Islam is. He just wants to be tolerant for a restricted period of time. Or else.

"'Restrict Hindu Pilgrimages in Kashmir to 15 Days or Face Opposition,'" by Fayaz Wani for NewsBlaze, June 18 (thanks to Maxwell):

The hardline Kashmiri separatist leader Syed Ali Geelani has asked Indian administered Kashmir government to restrict the Hindu annual pilgrimage to 15 days or face opposition.

The annual Hindu pilgrimage to the Amarnath cave shrine in South Kashmir's Pahalgam area will commence next month. Thousands of Hindus from all over India will converge in South Kashmir during the two month pilgrimage.

"We are not against the Amarnath pilgrimage. We will continue to welcome the Hindu pilgrims as we have been in the past. Islam doesn't teach us to create hurdles in the religious rituals of non-Muslims but we urge the government to restrict the pilgrimage to 15 days from two months. This will help in safeguarding the fragile economy of the region," Geelani said while addressing people during a peaceful sit-in against human rights violations being committed by Indian soldiers.

Accusing Indian government of following double standards, the separatist leader said, "Only 150 pilgrims a day are allowed to pilgrimage to Gangortri in India's Uttar Pradesh state to safeguard environment. However, here in Kashmir, Indian government is following a different approach. It seems that destroying the environment and culture of a Muslim majority region is in the national interest of India."

He asked the government to restrict the Hindu pilgrimage in Kashmir to 15 days only. "If government fails to concede to our demand, we will be compelled to launch an agitation," he said....

One would think that the business of serving large numbers of Hindu pilgrim/tourists would be *good* for the Kashmiri economy. One would think.

Yes, but remember Islam trumps all.

Syed Geelani is also famous for saying on Indian TV that Islam does not believe in Democracy, much to the discomfiture of the compere and other panelists on a discussion about Kashmir, who pretended not to hear and changed the subject.

Incidentally Geelani is wrong about restrions being on pilgrimage to Gangotri. The pilgrimage restrictions are to Gaumukh glacier, which is beyond Gangotri. And even these were introduced because of an alarmist report by a Muslim scientist Hasnain, the same scientist whose highly exaggerated estimates of Himalayan glaciers melting were later proven to be rubbish, but caused egg to be splattered over the IPCC's face not so long ago and severely impacted the credibility of its report on Global warming.

What does Geelani want? Does he want Hindus of Jammu to choke Kashmir again? They'll happily oblige, giving jihadists all the more reason to bray about how Kashmiriyat is in danger... its sadly a predictable script. Also since when has environmentalism mattered to the jihadists?

For those who don't know, Amarnath is a site of ancient Hindu pilgrimage, which has been going on since 34 BCE i believe. 8 whole centuries before that bedouin creed ever reached India's shores!

"If government fails to concede to our demand, we will be compelled to launch an agitation," Hmmm....that line sounds ever so Islamic now.

From the article: "Islam doesn't teach us to create hurdles in the religious rituals of non-Muslims".

LIAR LIAR PANTS ON FIRE.

Here is one version of the iniquitous 'Pact of Omar', archetype and baseline of the myriad humiliating restrictions that Muslims always place upon non-Muslims unlucky enough to be under their boot. Note that the Muslims, with their usual sadism, worded it so that it is in the 'voice' of the victim.

From Ibn Kathir, the Tafsir Ibn Kathir, Riyadh, 2000; vol 4, pages 404-407; interpretation of Quran 9: 29. Reproduced in Legacy of Jihad, pages 128-130}.

'Paying Jizyah is a Sign of Kufr and Disgrace

Allah said,

﴿حَتَّى يُعْطُواْ الْجِزْيَةَ﴾

(until they pay the Jizyah), if they do not choose to embrace Islam,

﴿عَن يَدٍ﴾

(with willing submission), in defeat and subservience,

﴿وَهُمْ صَـغِرُونَ﴾

(and feel themselves subdued.), disgraced, humiliated and belittled. Therefore, Muslims are not allowed to honor the people of Dhimmah or elevate them above Muslims, for they are miserable, disgraced and humiliated.

Muslim {i.e. the Sahih Muslim hadith collection - dda} recorded from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet said,

«لَا تَبْدَءُوا الْيَهُودَ وَالنَّصَارَى بِالسَّلَامِ، وَإِذَا لَقِيتُمْ أَحَدَهُمْ فِي طَرِيقٍ فَاضْطَرُّوهُ إِلَى أَضْيَقِه»
]

(Do not initiate the Salam to the Jews and Christians, and if you meet any of them in a road, force them to its narrowest alley.)

'This is why the Leader of the faithful `Umar bin Al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, demanded his well-known conditions be met by the Christians, these conditions that ensured their continued humiliation, degradation and disgrace.

'The scholars of Hadith narrated from `Abdur-Rahman bin Ghanm Al-Ash`ari that he said, "I recorded for `Umar bin Al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, the terms of the treaty of peace he conducted with the Christians of Ash-Sham [THAT IS: the Byzantine Christians of formerly Byzantine ‘Palestine’, the Land of Israel - dda]:

`In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

'This is a document to the servant of Allah `Umar, the Leader of the faithful, from the Christians of such and such city.
When you (Muslims) came to us we requested safety for ourselves, children, property and followers of our religion.
We made a condition on ourselves that

**we will neither erect in our areas a monastery, church, or a sanctuary for a monk, nor restore any place of worship that needs restoration** {note - no new churches, and not able to repair old ones - dda} nor use any of them for the purpose of enmity against Muslims.

'We will not prevent any Muslim from resting in our churches whether they come by day or night {note - this is what lies behind the PLO's occupation and vandalising of the Church of the Nativity, in Bethlehem - dda}, and we will open the doors (of our houses of worship) for the wayfarer and passerby.

Those Muslims who come as guests, will enjoy boarding and food for three days.

We will not allow a spy against Muslims into our churches and homes or hide deceit (or betrayal) against Muslims.

We will not teach our children the Qur'an,

publicize practices of Shirk,
invite anyone to Shirk {this means dhimmis are forbidden to publicly teach their religion or ask anyone else to join it - dda}.

or prevent any of our fellows from embracing Islam, if they choose to do so. {so Muslims are allowed to sucker people into Islam, and no-one is allowed to stop them, but non-Muslims are not allowed to invite Muslims to leave Islam - classic Muslim refusal of reciprocity - dda}.

We will respect Muslims, move from the places we sit in if they choose to sit in them.

We will not imitate their clothing, caps, turbans, sandals, hairstyles, speech, nicknames and title names,
or ride on saddles, hang swords on the shoulders, collect weapons of any kind or carry these weapons.

We will not encrypt our stamps in Arabic, or sell liquor.

We will have the front of our hair cut, wear our customary clothes [i.e. humiliating garments so that Muslims may know whom to attack - dda]
wherever we are,
wear belts around our waist,

**refrain from erecting crosses on the outside of our churches
and demonstrating them and our books in public in Muslim fairways and markets** {my emphasis; and yet Geelani dares to claim that Muslims don't put hurdles in the way of the religious practice of non-Muslims? - dda}.

"**We will not sound the bells in our churches, except discretely,
or raise our voices while reciting our holy books inside our churches [!!!] in the presence of Muslims,

'nor raise our voices (with prayer) at our funerals,
or light torches in funeral processions in the fairways of Muslims, or their markets** {my emphasis - dda; and again, this looks awfully like placing restrictions on, and obstructing, the religious practice of non-Muslims - dda}.

'We will not bury our dead next to Muslim dead, or buy servants who were captured by Muslims.
We will be guides for Muslims and refrain from breaching their privacy in their homes.” [note : above we saw that Muslims can invite themselves into a dhimmi’s home, and even lodge themselves in a dhimmi's house of worship; but dhimmis are forbidden to enter a Muslim’s house: this is a revolting breach of the principle of reciprocity - dda].

'When I gave this document to `Umar, he added to it, “We will not beat any Muslim”.

'These are the conditions that we set against ourselves and followers of our religion in return for safety and protection.

'If we break any of these promises that we set for your benefit against ourselves, then our Dhimmah (promise of protection) is broken and you are allowed **to do with us what you are allowed of people of defiance and rebellion** {my emphasis - dda}.'''

END QUOTE.

And NOTE: the final clause – which provides that ANY perceived, or supposed, or pretended, or even merely rumoured ‘breach’ of these sadistically oppressive and petty Rules for Dhimmis, justifies Total War to properly punish the ‘offending’ community – has over and over and over provided the pretext for Muslims to attack dhimmi communities in the most vicious and horrible fashion.

Another translation of the 'Pact of Omar'.

"We heard from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Ghanam [died 78/697] as follows: When
Umar ibn al-Khattab, may God be pleased with him, accorded a peace to the
Christians of Syria, we wrote to him as follows:

'In the name of God, the Merciful and Compassionate.

'This is a letter to the servant
of God Umar [ibn al-Khattab], Commander of the Faithful, from the Christians of
such-and-such a city.

'When you came against us, we asked you for safe-conduct
(aman) for ourselves, our descendants, our property, and the people of our
community, and we undertook the following obligations toward you:

'

We shall not build, in our cities or in their neighborhood, new monasteries,
Churches, convents, or monks' cells, nor shall we repair, by day or by night, such
of them as fall in ruins or are situated in the quarters of the Muslims.

'

We shall keep our gates wide open for passersby and travelers. We shall give
board and lodging to all Muslims who pass our way for three days.

'

We shall not give shelter in our churches or in our dwellings to any spy, nor hide
him from the Muslims.

'We shall not teach the Qur'an to our children.

We shall not manifest our religion publicly nor convert anyone to it. We shall not
prevent any of our kin from entering Islam if they wish it.

'We shall show respect toward the Muslims, and we shall rise from our seats when
they wish to sit.

'We shall not seek to resemble the Muslims by imitating any of their garments, the
qalansuwa, the turban, footwear, or the parting of the hair. We shall not speak as
they do, nor shall we adopt their kunyas.

'We shall not mount on saddles, nor shall we gird swords nor bear any kind of arms
nor carry them on our persons.

'We shall not engrave Arabic inscriptions on our seals.

'

We shall not sell fermented drinks.

'

We shall clip the fronts of our heads.

We shall always dress in the same way wherever we may be, and we shall bind the
zunar round our waists
.

'We shall not display our crosses or our books in the roads or markets of the
Muslims.

'We shall use only clappers in our churches very softly. We shall not
raise our voices when following our dead.

'We shall not show lights on any of the
roads of the Muslims or in their markets.

'We shall not bury our dead near the
Muslims.

'We shall not take slaves who have been allotted to Muslims.

We shall not build houses overtopping the houses of the Muslims.

'

(When I brought the letter to Umar, may God be pleased with him, he added, "We
shall not strike a Muslim.")

'

We accept these conditions for ourselves and for the people of our community,
and in return we receive safe-conduct.

'

If we in any way violate these undertakings for which we ourselves stand surety,
we forfeit our covenant [dhimma], and we become liable to the penalties for
contumacy and sedition.

'Umar ibn al-Khittab replied: Sign what they ask, but add two clauses and impose
them in addition to those which they have undertaken.

'They are: "They shall not
buy anyone made prisoner by the Muslims," and "Whoever strikes a Muslim with
deliberate intent shall forfeit the protection of this pact." -

from Al-Turtushi, Siraj al-Muluk, pp. 229-230.

Now for a Muslim text in which a number of the degrading and restrictive requirements set out in the 'Pact of Omar' are adapted for use in India, against Hindus...

From the "tolerant" Sufi leader Mir Sayyid Ali Hamadani (1314-1385 CE) book Zakhiratulmaluk

1. Muslims ruler shall not allow fresh constructions of Hindu temples and shrines for image worship.

2. No repairs shall be executed to the existing Hindu temples and shrines.

3. They shall not proffer Muslim names,

4. They shall not ride a harnessed horse.

5. They shall not go about with arms.

6. They shall not wear rings with diamonds.

7. They shall not deal in nor eat bacon.

8. They shall not exhibit idolatrous images.

9. They shall not build house in the neighborhood of Muslims.

10. They shall not dispose of their dead in the neighborhood of Muslim Maqbaras nor weep nor wail loudly over their dead.

11. They shall not deal in nor buy Muslim slaves.

12. No Muslim traveller shall be refused lodgement in these temples and shrines where he shall be treated as a guest for three days by non-Muslims.

13. No non-Muslims shall act as a spy in the Muslim state.

14. No difficulty shall be offered to those non-Muslims who of their own choice show their readiness for Islam.

15. Non-Muslims shall honor Muslims and shall leave their assembly whenever the
Muslims enter the premises.

16. The dress code of non-Muslims shall be different from that of Muslims to distinguish them."
