But the students at Chapel Hill have already had their experience of Muslim terrorism (not that this prevents the Saunders-Hall duet of Carl Ernst and Omid Safi from continuing to provide a sanitized view, heavy on the Sufis and the Great Saljouks, very light on the Jihad and such concepts as "dhimmi," of Islam), when that Muslim student, who had graduated in December and, at loose ends, turned to Islam -- see his hand-written prison notebook, which was put up at JW several years ago -- Reza Taheri or something-something -- who revved a car up and weaved among campus buildings until he smashed into some students standing and talking at "the Pit" right near the Student Union and the Davis Library.
So North Carolina has already had a good dose of Muslim terrorism, in sight of Silent Sam.
Where was this attack to be? On Charlotte? The Raleigh-Durham airport? A literary soiree in literary Hillsborough? Or perhaps right on Fort Bragg itself?
