"The greatest hurdle Americans need to get over in order to properly respond to the growing threat of radical Islam is purely intellectual in nature; specifically, it is epistemological, and revolves around the abstract realm of 'knowledge.' Before attempting to formulate a long-term strategy to counter radical Islam, Americans must first and foremost understand Islam, particularly its laws and doctrines, the same way Muslims understand it--without giving it undue Western (liberal) interpretations. This is apparently not as simple as expected: all peoples of whatever civilizations and religions tend to assume that other peoples more or less share in their worldview, which they assume is objective, including notions of right and wrong, good and bad. .... [T]he secular, Western experience has been such that people respond with violence primarily when they feel they are politically, economically, or socially oppressed. While true that many non-Western peoples may fit into this paradigm, the fact is, the ideologies of radical Islam have the intrinsic capacity to prompt Muslims to violence and intolerance vis-à-vis the 'other,' irrespective of grievances.... Being able to understand all this, being able to appreciate it without any conceptual or intellectual constraints is paramount for Americans to truly understand the nature of the enemy and his ultimate goals."Such were the words that opened my testimony to Congress. One year later, none other than President Obama's top counter-terror adviser, John Brennan, has come to to personify the approach I warned against, that is, the misguided phenomenon of westernizing Islamic concepts.
A Fox New's report, titled "Counterterror Adviser Defends Jihad as 'Legitimate Tenet of Islam,'" has the details:
During a speech at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, John Brennan described violent extremists as victims of "political, economic and social forces," but said that those plotting attacks on the United States should not be described in "religious terms."In other words, despite the fact that Islamists describe all their goals in "religious terms," Brennan sees them--you know, people like Osama bin Laden who murdered 3,000 Americans--as naught more than victims of the system. And why is that? Because Brennan believes that "political, economic and social forces"--the three I specifically stressed in my excerpt above--are the only precipitators to violence. So jihadists can openly articulate their violent bloodlust through religious terms all they want, it matters not: Brennan and his ilk have their intellectual blinders shut tight and refuse to venture outside the box....

Whomever made the investment in Daniel Pipes' Ph.D. got their money's worth as he is educating others on our shared plight in the face of global Islam.

In Governor Patrick we have another cowardly politician, that does not even have the sense to think past the day that he is in, and be concerned about his family’s future generations, being forced to live under Islamic rule. Deval Patrick vows support for Muslims

Sunday, May 23, 2010 – In his largest meeting with Boston-area Muslims, Gov. Deval Patrick agreed yesterday to take aim at ensuring their rights and addressing racial profiling.
The session came little more than a week after two Bay State Muslims were arrested in a raid following an attempted car bombing in Times Square in New York.
More than 1,100 Muslims attended the forum at the Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center and Mosque in Roxbury, where Patrick was given one minute to answer “yes” or “no” to seven questions, including whether he would:
Have law enforcement agency heads and others meet with Muslims to discuss the need for cultural awareness training.
Beginning his comments in Arabic by saying, “Hello, how are you. I speak Arabic a little,” the governor said the forum was not his first exposure to Islam, noting that he’d lived in Sudan and Nigeria.
Designate a liaison to the Muslim community.
Urge the public and private sectors to accommodate Muslims’ religious obligation to attend Friday afternoon prayers.
The governor answered yes to every question. Patrick said he had already named a liaison. When it came to prayer times, Patrick said he wants to promote overall religious tolerance.
Beginning his comments in Arabic by saying, “Hello, how are you. I speak Arabic a little,” the governor said the forum was not his first exposure to Islam, noting that he’d lived in Sudan and Nigeria.
“Yours is a peaceful faith, and I know that. I know you are worried that others know that,” he said. The head of one Muslim group said he was interviewed three times in recent years by FBI agents “fishing for something.” A mother told of walking with her baby in the months after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks and feeling terrified when a cab driver pulled up to them and said, “We should kill you all.”
“We are here for power and for recognition,” said Bilal Kaleem, president of the Muslim American Society of Boston.

The problem with today's politicians is they are more concerned with how much money will we get by supporting this. They could care less about right or wrong, the dollar sign is the only thing they see. I believe that they think if islam takes over that they'll be rewarded very well, too bad they don't understand islam. From what I've seen, they'll be the first ones executed.
Regretfully, Brennan reflects the intellectual vaccum that echoes out of the varioius Administration Teleprompters.
Infamous as a bickering little pariah in the Intelligence Community, he tossed in early (While still on the government payroll.) pulling for Obama.
Here we have a group of people who have startus, rank and clout; but no class.
Would a person of class go to Cairo and patronize young people with a gold-wash of their cultural history? Would a leader of a family or a clan be regarded as a class-dad by speaking derogatorily of his own?
Of course not. Only the Arnolds, Barabases and Bruti do that.
But, we see Brennan as miming his boss, Pinnochio, who seems to be run by a committee of Anti-Judeo-Christian Giapettoes. Here's a guy, just about pulsating out of his collar - Look for the pent-up anger, it parallels his chief's thin skin - making statements with the fervor of Afghan imam in mid-day heat. His job is not to proselytize or parse Islam for Americans. It is to defend us against our enemies - foreign or domestic.
(As it is the White House has what might be a cloister, monastery or curia of Islamic aplogists on its running payroll, already)
