Thug-In-Chief: "They are trying to save the Zionist regime, but the Zionist regime will not survive. It is doomed."

More genocidal threat from Iran's Thug-In-Chief, who is evidently now such a household name that this AFP story doesn't think it necessary to identify him as President of Iran or give his first name. "Iran's Ahmadinejad says Israel is 'doomed,'" from AFP, June 11 (thanks to Sr. Soph):

Ahmadinejad said on Friday Israel was "doomed" and singled out US President for scorn, blaming Washington for orchestrating new nuclear sanctions against Teheran.

Speaking during a visit to the World Expo in Shanghai, Ahmadinejad denounced the UN Security Council's sanctions resolution adopted Wednesday with Chinese and Russian backing as "worthless paper".

The firebrand leader accused global nuclear powers of "monopolising" atomic technology and said the new sanctions would "have no effect" -- reserving most of his tough rhetoric for the United States, not his ally Beijing.

Swatting aside the US leader's offers of dialogue and rapprochement if Iran relents on its nuclear ambitions, Ahmadinejad said: "I think President Obama has made a big mistake... he knows the resolution will have no effect.

"Very soon he will come to understand he has not made the right choice and he has blocked the way to having friendly ties with the Iranian people."...

"The main problem is the US administration, and we have no problem with others," he told reporters, accusing the United States of seeking to "swallow" the Middle East.

"Not only China but others also announced the resolution is going to open a way for diplomacy."...

"It is clear the United States is not against nuclear bombs because they have a Zionist regime with nuclear bombs in the region," he said.

"They are trying to save the Zionist regime, but the Zionist regime will not survive. It is doomed."...

Ahmadinejad said the entire architecture of global power was built to keep out smaller states.

"We have always said the Security Council is a tool in the hands of the United States. It is not democratic, it is a tool of dictatorship," he said.

"Five powers have the veto right and the nuclear bombs and the monopoly and they want to monopolise nuclear energy for themselves," he added....

"Very soon he will come to understand he has not made the right choice and he has blocked the way to having friendly ties with the Iranian people." -- headline

Very soon? What does that mean? Sounds like *another* threat to me. Iran's Thug-in-Chief makes another veiled threat, and then in the same breath accuses US of blocking friendly ties? I know, I know, what should I expect from a madman ...

Saudi Arabia gives Israel clear skies to attack Iranian nuclear sites

From The Times June 12, 2010

To challenge Iran, Arabs have two options, and neither is a good one
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/middle_east/article7148563.ece

[...] The advantage of the Israeli option is that the Arab states could simply deny that they co-operated and loudly condemn the action, while privately celebrating the move if it proved successful. They would then rely on America’s military might to protect them against retaliation.

While deeply cynical, it would prove once again that “my enemy’s enemy is my friend”.

I'm not so sure Ahmadinejad should scoff at the power of Israel. I think Egypt found out that Israel has a pretty good army, the hard way.

Why can't the Lame Stream Media just shorten his name some?
Like...Iran's "A-madman" or Iran's "A-mad-jihad"?

I wonder, since we are approaching World War III, has the US and Israeli intellignece services set up an underground network in Iran.

The Irani underground would certainly come in handy for espionage and terrorizing the Iranian Guard, messing with their communications and creating false intelligence, knocking out munitions storage areas, sinking warships by planting magnetic mines below the waterline, etc.
I'm sure there must be a lot of civilians who would clamour at the chance to do some damage to his Islamo-Nazi regime.

Hey! Use of "Thug-In-Chief" should be reserved for the true, the one, the ONLY real Thug-In-Chief, the faux _resident of these United States, Mr. Obamalamadingdong himself, not for any of his lesser princes and satraps. For a second you had me hoping that the big O had finally dropped his mask and revealed the true depths of his base anti-Semitism...and hoping that the DumboCrats had at long last lost the votes of the majority of American Jews still wedded to Rooseveltian "Progressive" ancien regime, blind to the fact that most anti-Semites find their home on the left.

..and the Hawks won the Stanley Cup..STANLEY Cup..and no congratulatory call? He truly is Uncle Scary..

He's not the "thug-in-chief".  He's "Mach-mood I'm-a-dinner-jacket".

Almost I am yearning for the happy days of the Cold War and pre-Political Correctness. We all knew where we had each other; "The Other Side" were baddies but not madmen, it was allowed to poke fun at them and portrait them as bad guys in movies, they did not blow things up according to their holy writ and we much less had to adhere to their slightest whim. For them their politics and for us ours. Well ...by and large, and Quislings have always been around.

But modern-day baddies have become madmen, and they want nuclear weapons. The rules have changed; objections are hatred, un-peaceful, intolerant and not at all bridge building or interfaith. What the .... has happened?

If we measure this struggle in terms of human life, we might make cost calculations on paper that make some folks blanch. Funny that, that if one names a person otherwise unknown, then his life or end thereof is seen as something we all care about till the next name appears. The Iranian government is our military enemy. They have an army and they have civilian willing and ready to fight. We seem happy enough to bomb them, but we often don't seem to happy about killing them one by one, those being folks just like us, folks with names. Real people. Fact is, we don't go to war to kill people. that's a by-product of destroying an enemy nation. People are just stuff that happens in the process. It ain't personal for our nation or theirs. That doesn't mean we should kill at random just because people are in the way. It's a matter of economy, or thrift. One kills the fewest number of the right kind of enemy, e.g. soldiers and other combatants, as a rule. But what a waste of people. Ours die, theirs die, lots of people in the middle die. Far better to destroy the enemy without having to kill them at all, or the fewest.

There's no advantage to us to see Iranians kill each other, but that's far better than our own killing them. And the militarty will survive in Iran even if they lose the war that seems certain to come. We don't want to destroy their military, we want to destroy those who control it now and turn it against us. We want their military to survive and continue doing their job, just not in the way they do it now. So, don't kill their military, destroy the government.

How to do that without attacking the military? Some won't like the idea, of course, but one attacks the pillars of the government, the things that hold a government together, that keep it as "government." One attacks, and here I mean Iranians themselves, they attack those pillars of society that keep a government functioning, e.g. bus drivers.

What do bus drivers have to do with war? Nothing or close to it, far as I can see; but they do take working people to work most days, and bring them home again. It's a matter of thrift: if one wants to keep a nation from working, prevent bus drivers from taking people to work and back. A government isn't going to survive long if its bus drivers refuse to go to work. But of course, soldiers will then drive buses. So switch to preventing grocery store clerks from showing up to work. A nation that can't eat isn't going to like its government. Yes, soldiers will then occupy stores. Switch to bank clerks. And so on. In a short time all one would need do is announce a category of workers to shut down an industry. Governments can't function like that. They collapse. Look at the cost. Very small.

Do bus drivers qualify as enemy combatants? No. Should we be sentimental and kill thousands in bombing raids just to be... what? Nice? Fair? Legal? Everybody has a name. Everybody is somebody, even me. Life is tough, but it shouldn't be savage when it can be surgical. Most of us would happily hit a guy in the face with a brick if we were enraged, but how many would cut a man open lying helpless on a table? Sometimes the best course of action is creepy and disgusting. Surgery is sickening to watch if one is "concerned." For everyone else it's a better alternative.

Believe me, I'm leaving out the good parts here. An imaginative person could take this a long way. This is the Internet, of course, and I'm opining and opinionating, not worth much at all to anyone. Just words. More ho-hum.

"Ahmadinejad said ... Israel was "doomed""

Wishes, horses, etc.

"We have always said the Security Council is a tool in the hands of the United States. It is not democratic, it is a tool of dictatorship," he said.

The Security Council is the table where the adults are allowed to sit. Besides, you and your OIC buddies have the General Assembly. What's the problem?

Al-Kidya: There are genocides occurring around the world and more may be instigated, but the good thing about having an Obama in the WH is that we can be sure there will be no WW III involving the USA, regardless of the direst provocation by any rogue regime.

It's difficult to justify going to war when you refuse to acknowledge that you are already in one and still haven't got around to identifying the enemy.

I am tired of hearing the same old rhetoric from this nut-case. When is someone going to silence him. We allowed Hitler to ramble on for too long and look what happened. These screw-balls become deluded and start believing their own stories...
There is not room on this planet for these fools...they will only cause mayhem and bloodshed if allowed to rant and rave...

Maybe Arab News will even drop the daily hate story on Israel for a day or two. "The enemy of my enemy .." etc.

lol, that one had already been put up. Sorry!

Ahmadinejad is not nuts...He is a Mahoundian and a Mahdist...
He believes that it is his duty, and he has been chosen by Allah, to create the conditions of chaos needed to get Mahdi to come out of his well...This is crazy to a rational person, but it's not 'nuts'...If the Supreme leader thought he was nuts, Supreme leader would get rid of him...These people are not nuts...they are on a mission from Allah, that does not make them nuts, but it does make them dangerous...

Flying to Iran is one thing.Flying back is another. With the "Job" finished, what is there to keep the hit man from harm?

Exactly! Wanna bet that Ahmadinejad is speaking only the highlights of what is being taught every day in every school in Iran as directed by the Supreme leader.

So, Iran shoots a nuke at Israel?, Then what; Israel shoots a nuke at Damascus, Tehran, and Cairo? Thank you Obama for all you do, to make the world a more dangerous, if not, fatal place. You see how effective your overtures to your ummah have only gotten you ridiculed by your own moslem people. You are a joke of the universe.

Hummm ...every time I see Yusuf Al-Qaradawi I think of a German officer in the French Foreign Legion, accent and all.

Israeli Military Attack on Iran This Summer?

by Sam Vaknin, Ph.D. - 6/12/2010

Excerpt:

Israel has now decided to go ahead. It has little to lose, its relationship with the Obama administration being at a low ebb and Iran having secured nuclear fuel for two atomic bombs. Taking into account political, geopolitical, military preparedness, and climatic conditions, there are two windows: between July 21 and 24 and between August 6 and 8, 2010.

Humm, the "flotilla" raid may be a dry run that turned out wetter than anticipated. The number of killed did surprise me, but if the Israeli commandoes are training hard for larger events their reaction perhaps was not unexpected.
