The guilty pleas come as expected. The names on the hit list should be made public -- provided that protection is accorded to the people on the list. I am sure that the identities of those targeted would be illuminating in many ways.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- A National Weather Service employee and his British-born wife pleaded guilty Wednesday to domestic terrorism charges of lying to the FBI about a hit list of possible targets who the couple suspected were enemies of Islam.Paul Rockwood Jr. and his wife, Nadia Rockwood, of King Salmon, Alaska, were charged with lying about the list and making false statements about domestic terrorism during interviews with FBI agents in May.
The FBI alleged that the list had about 15 targets. Its contents were not made public, but officials said none of those targeted lived in Alaska.
Under a plea deal, Paul Rockwood, 35, who worked as a meteorological technician for the weather service, will get eight years in prison, the maximum allowed. His 36-year-old wife, who is five months pregnant, will be allowed to return to the United Kingdom and serve five years of probation there.
Neither was held in custody prior to the hearing.
U.S. District Judge Ralph Beistline did not immediately sign off on the plea deal. He set sentencing for Aug. 23.
Prosecutors alleged that Paul Rockwood, also known as "Bilal," converted to Islam about a decade ago and began studying the teachings of American-born cleric Anwar al-Awlaki, who has professed hatred for the United States and supports acts of terrorism.
According to court documents, Paul Rockwood converted to Islam in late 2001 or 2002, when the couple lived in Virginia.
"After his conversion, and while residing in Virginia, Rockwood became a strict adherent to the violent Jihad-promoting ideology of cleric Anwar al-Awlaki," documents said. "This included a personal conviction that it was his religious responsibility to exact revenge by death on anyone who desecrated Islam."...

Nadia Rockwood, who is pregnant, admitted making false statements over plans her husband, a Muslim convert, had drawn up involving a list of people he apparently wished to execute.

This is not some clueless sort who converts because they have a nice Muslim roommate in college who makes Islam seem palatable, or some eternal "seeker" who has already gone through a Buddhist phase, and a Wiccan phase, and a new-age-crystals phase, and decides to give Islam a shot after getting stoned and reading Rumi.
This is someone who has looked into the sick heart of Islam and *likes what they see*. I wonder how many other "Bilals" are out there?

So funny,gravenimage...kind of. There is a man over the raod like that. At the moment it's a combination of Wiccan and New Age (I think). As for Islam, he informed me that Jesus did the same bad things Mohammed did; and so did Krishna; all of them did terrible things but, "like Mohammed", they "learned from their mistakes" and thenceforth became great teachers. He was amazed when I asked for some kind of proof; this nonsense seemed self-evident to him. A very strange version of moral equivalence. Probably to him the only real truth lies in stones and crystals. His girlfriend is nice, but I can't face him any more...too weird.

Questions:
1. Has he changed his personal conviction? Or will he simply carry on after a gap of 8 years, using his experience to be careful not be caught this time?
2. Has his wife changed her conviction? Or will she simply shift her area of operation to the UK?
He must have changed his religion after marrying this muslim woman Nadia.
All non-muslims are made to convert (either willingly or through emotional blackmail) to islam upon marriage to a muslim.

I'm not so sure she was a Muslim to start with. I don't know her maiden surname, but her three personal names are reported as being 'Nadia Piroska Maria'...Nadia is the Serbo-Croat version of the Russian name Nadezhda, 'Hope', which is - I think - more likely to be borne by a Christian than a Muslim.
I'm guessing that she's the daughter of Balkan refugees who went to the UK; if they were nominal Christians (say, Croats) rather than nominal Bosnian Muslims (and nominal Christians seems more likely on the basis of her personal names as given) then she is triply a traitor - to her own Balkan non-Muslim ancestors who endured the living hell that is dhimmitude; to her first adopted country, the UK; and to her second adopted country, the USA.
