Australia: Members of Hizb ut-Tahrir say country is "god-forsaken," and that Muslims must shun "secular and erroneous concepts such as democracy and freedom"

The irresistible question: If it's so "god-forsaken," why don't you forsake it, too?

Of course, it's not that simple. The goal of jihad in all its forms is the imposition of Islamic law anywhere and everywhere. And that's supposed to make Australia seem less god-forsaken -- just as it has done such wonders for Somalia, Pakistan, Gaza, Iran, Yemen, Banda Aceh... you get the idea.

"Islamist leader Burhan Hanif tells Aussie Muslims to 'shun democracy'," by Sally Neighbour for The Australian, July 5 (thanks to all who sent this in):

Leaders of the global Islamist group Hizb ut-Tahrir have called on Australian Muslims to spurn secular democracy and Western notions of moderate Islam and join the struggle for a transnational Islamic state.
British Hizb ut-Tahrir leader Burhan Hanif told participants at a conference in western Sydney yesterday that democracy is "haram" (forbidden) for Muslims, whose political engagement should be be based purely on Islamic law.
"We must adhere to Islam and Islam alone," Mr Hanif told about 500 participants attending the convention in Lidcombe.
"We should not be conned or succumb to the disingenuous and flawed narrative that the only way to engage politically is through the secular democratic process. It is prohibited and haram."
He said democracy was incompatible with Islam because the Koran insisted Allah was the sole lawmaker, and Muslim political involvement could not be based on "secular and erroneous concepts such as democracy and freedom".
His view was echoed by an Australian HT official, Wassim Dourehi, who told the conference Muslims should not support "any kafir (non-believer) political party", because humans have no right to make laws.
Mr Dourehi also urged Muslims to spurn the concept of moderate Islam promoted by governments in the West, including in "this godforsaken country" of Australia.
"We need to reject this new secular version of Islam," he said. "It is a perverted concoction of Western governments.
"It is a perversion that seeks to wipe away the political aspects of Islam and localise our concerns. We must reject it and challenge the proponents of this aberration of Islam."
The conference, which followed the theme The struggle for Islam in the West' was the first major event held by the Australian branch of HT since a seminar in 2007 which coincided with calls for the group to be banned.
HT is outlawed in much of the Middle East but operates legally in more than 40 countries, campaigning for the establishment of a caliphate or Islamic state.
HT's platform rejects the use of violence in its quest for an Islamic state, but supports the military destruction of Israel....

At some point, advocacy such as this should become grounds for revocation of citizenship and expulsion.

"HT's platform rejects the use of violence in its quest for an Islamic state, but supports the military destruction of Israel...."

of course the military destruction of Israel will necessitate the use of Islamic violence to succeed in Islams quest for a Islamic state.....

Not to worry, sez Abbas, da Jooozzz can have the Jewish Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem as part of a future peace agreement with Israel.....

Buh Bye!

Don't let the door smack you on your way out.

Muslims want to take modern, vibrant, democratic Australia and make it less "god-forsaken", as Marisol notes, by making it more like *North Waziristan, the Gaza strip, Banda Aceh, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Sudan, and the chaotic horror of Somalia.

"Allah" sure has a strange idea of what constitutes "god-forsaken"...

H/T didn't have it all their way, a small contingent of concerned Aussies turned out to let H/T know they were not welcome...see

I think everybody needs to see this.

VIRAL!

So far we still have a right to vote for representatives to voice our concerns as citizens and to pass laws coherent with our republican and democratic traditions and values. So far. But the governments we have seem determined to foist upon us a neo-feudalism of privilege and class that makes some groups exempt from laws of the land/s and that criminalize others by virtue of their existence, c.f. the New Black panther Party fiasco now in progress in America. It isn't democracy any longer when one class of people has rights denied to others. We can still vote out those who infringe upon our rights and traditions, still have a right to vote in spite of voter intimidation at polling booths and still so in spite of our government refusing to address illegal actions against the people by thugs. So far. Even now, at least until we find ourselves swamped by illegal immigrants with voting rights that might well undermine our nations' traditions, we have a right to vote within the context of our Constitution. But even so....

I think it's time to 'push back.' The radical anti-democratic forces in the West aren't limited to jihadis and other shari'a promoters. We have a massive population of voters who follow along for the sake of social acceptance among their peers, i.e. we have Conformity Hippies flocking to any outrage so long as it's new and fashionable and Left. It matters not that anything proposed against our democratic, republican governments is obviously a violation of our national principals so long as somewhere some public intellectual says it in the media, giving validation to anti-Modernity and dhimmitude in the eyes of those who care not for our democracy but only for the love of conformity within the confines of their peer groups. That mentally ill demagogues have taken elite positions as our intelligentsia and find wide audience among a nihilistic and idiotic population within Modernity does not mean we have any right to take up arms against those we can vote against in a fair election. Yes, the majority of our elite intelligentsia is pathologically committed to neo-feudalism, i.e. is fascist in the classical sense; but still we can organise to vote their proxies out of political power. So far. But it's time to push back. It's time to punch. It's time to smash the fascism of the Left communitarian fascism of our time in our Modernity. Time to push back.

I wouldn't have much hope for a dozen or so men confronting a thousand Islam-intoxicated jihadis at a rally. If a dozen men survived at all, still they'd be condemned as "racists" and "fascist" and so on. And surviving would prove nothing but that cowardice pays, that others should stay home and hope no harm comes at least till later. And because it is unlikely to find even a dozen men willing to fight for freedom and our traditions of democracy and individualism in today's general cultures I would suggest they not even bother with such head-on confrontations.

Our nations and cultures are betrayed by a Death Hippie intelligentsia, including the media. As well, we are betrayed by a fully cowardly mass population who care nothing for themselves as free men and women. They will not struggle for anything other than their personal safety and comfort, diminishing as it is by the day. It is of no avail to march a dozen against jihad. But we might push back obliquely and in that find some success.

I look at the Matthew Effect, winningly summed up by Billie Holiday:

Them that's got shall get
Them that's not shall lose
So the Bible said and it still is news
Mama may have, Papa may have
But God bless the child that's got his own
That's got his own

Yes, the strong gets more
While the weak ones fade....

Bin Laden gets it in his "Strong horse, weak horse" analogy. Popularity is attractive. A dozen men being beaten bloody, if not killed, by a thousand jihadis in the streets of Australian cities and elsewhere in our Modernity will enthuse the masses further to join the jihad. Losing is a bad thing, even for the good guys. It breeds disgust. I'd be surprised to find we have even a dozen men willing in the West to fight. I have never found them. But those few who are willing, wherever they might be, cannot stand to lose this "little war," nicely put in Spanish as "guerilla." The weak must be stronger than the strong by acting where the weak are stronger than the strong.

Where the weak dozen cannot successfully attack the strong thousand, they can attack the unprotected flanks of the jihadis. I might look at the weak flanks of jihad in terms of zakat-paying Muslims who by dint of giving money directly to finance jihad and the promulgation of shari'a in our Modernity become, as bin Laden says of us as voters, enemy combatants by agreement and payment; and seeing zakat-payers giving money to provide strength to our enemies, I might, were I a smarter and more imaginative man, find some way of convincing the zakat-payer to instead donate his cash to my cause. I wouldn't want to see a dozen men beaten by jihadis when I might instead see them divert cash from the jihad by asking politely for donations from Muslims on the flank. If I were smarter, I'd be rich, and Islam would suffer. A dozen men asking politely for a donation from a Muslim would be in a stronger position than the same dozen men confronting a thousand jihadis. It'd be a small thing in a small war, but a thousand times done would make some small group fairly strong, attracting some genuine admiration perhaps in our democratic system that most people won't bother fighting for.

Perusing the Quran (with commentary by the Pakistani Maulana Muhammed Ali) I come across a repeating theme: Christians love THIS world. The esteemed maulana Ali constantly reiterates that Muslims and Islam are so much more spiritual than Christians, and that Christians are faulted for their alleged emphasis upon physical delites. It seems that he regards the physical poverty and outright indolence of the Muslim world as some sort of badge of distinction, while (elsewhere) boasting that Muslims will, in fact, ALSO rule in this world and dominate all other faiths. One can not tell the dear Maulana of the contradiction in terms this dichotomy and self-contradiction afford us even when it stares him in the face.

Interestingly, this edition of the Quran is put out by the Ahmadiya sect, which is persecuted in Pakistan and under the ban as "heretical" in most Muslim countries.

It's "interesting" that even those Muslims who are persecuted by other Muslims sometimes seem to boast of their alleged Islamic superiority over other faiths.

Ironic.

Isn't it interesting that to survive, HT needs to find refuge in the "God-forsaken" countries of the Anglosphere and Western Europe. However, in the wake of 9/11, I believe that the prudent thing to do would be to find all members of such organizations ineligible for asylum in the West. They're serpents who'll bite those who take them in and warm them by the fire, so it's better to leave them to freeze and die in their natural environments of the Islamic world.

Shun erroneus concepts such as freedom? This makes me so enraged, especially today.

"'Allah' sure has a strange idea of what constitutes 'god-forsaken'..."

Remember that Allah started as a moon-spirit in Arabia, a godforsaken place if ever there was one.
Moslems have forsaken God, and embraced Allah instead.

One of the freedoms in a secular, democratic country is usually the lack of a state religion, and the ability to choose or practice any belief that you want, provided you don't break any laws or what have you. What would happen if, in a country like Australia, the secular state decided one day to change course and have a constitutional convention to pick a state religion? Since the majority of Australians are not Muslims, what makes Hizb ut-Tahrir think they would get to be the lucky ones? What would they say if something other than Islam became the state religion, thereby costing Muslims any chance to have special or even ordinary rights?

Something tells me they wouldn't see the humor.

Wow, as an ex-pat Aussie I've been trying to post a comment on that article in The Australian for the past couple of hours but 'no show', despite re-trying different variations (& others' comments posted on the site since). I can only conclude that Oz papers' politically correct sensibilities can't take any really educational statements of fact about Islam.

Probably didn't like my referring to (& quoting) some of the self described Muslim commenters there as apparently either profoundly ignorant of real Islam or practicing taqiyya. And that contrary to the petro-dollar, Sharia financed propaganda campaigns, Islam is not a Religion of Peace™. It does not "embrace democracy" nor does it "order Muslims to apply democracy to life". It is, in fact, exactly as this HT "leader" describes it – as written in the Koran, Hadith & Sunna.

Also added that, Islam [Submission] is a theo-political, totalitarian ideological system whose entire raison d'être, intention & goal is the complete overthrow, subjugation or death of unbelievers worldwide, by ALL means (overt and covert), as commanded by their god & prophet. There are moderate Muslims (non practicing), but there is no such thing as "moderate Islam", or "radical Islam"; as Wafa Sultan warns so passionately, "there is only ISLAM."

Well, I can only hope freedom loving Australians wake up to it in time to stop creeping Sharia – but silencing/censoring any straight talk on the subject sure won't help, as most of the comments there were alarmingly clueless!

Re 'godforsaken.'

Nope. Godzown.

Back in the 16th century, a rather Quixotic Portuguese guy called Quiros in a boat was in what is now Vanuatu, on an island now called Espiritu Santo.

He stood on the island and he looked southward and on the day of Pentecost he dedicated everything southaways - a zone which included (we now know, though he didn't) Australia, to the Holy Spirit: terra incognita del espiritu santo.

'Unknown country of the Holy Spirit'.

http://goliath.ecnext.com/coms2/gi_0199-5662057/La-Austrialia-del-Espiritu-Santo.html

'FOUR HUNDRED YEARS ago, on May 14, 1606, Captain Pedro Fernandez de Quiros, a Portuguese explorer in the service of Spain, made landfall on an island which is now part of Vanuatu (formerly New Hebrides).

'He believed that he had reached the fabled Unknown South Land and, with great ceremony, took possession of it for Spain and Portugal. In fact, in a breathtakingly bold proclamation and with great religious fervour, he took possession of a great part of the whole southern hemisphere.

'One version of the translated proclamation goes as follows:

"Let the heavens, the earth, the waters with all their creatures and all those here present witness that I, Captain Pedro Fernandez de Quiros, in the name of Jesus Christ, hoist this emblem of the Holy Cross on which Jesus Christ's person was crucified and whereon He gave His life for the ransom and remedy of the human race.

"On this day of Pentecost, 14 May 1606, I take possession **of all this part of the South as far as the pole** in the name of Jesus, which from now on shall be called the Southern land Austrialia of the Holy Spirit and this always and forever to the end that to all natives, in all the said lands, the holy, sacred Evangel may be preached zealously and openly."

END QUOTE.

I'll second that.

Veni Creator Spiritus!

Let allah the uncreator, war-demon of the Arabs, rock-spider of Arabia, be driven away into the abyss.

RE: Wow, as an ex-pat Aussie I've been trying to post a comment on that article in The Australian for the past couple of hours but 'no show',

I have found exactly the same with all of the Australian media sites, I suspect they have a test built in which flags non-aus IPs when you post, this might be part of the issue.
Possibly some kind of CYA exercise to do with those crazy Victorian laws!

Other wise I cant explain it, apart from the obvious PC censorship but its certainly not based on posting content from my experience!

I was going to write something exactly along the lines of what you've written. It pretty much sums up everything that is wrong with mahoundianism, doesn't it?

And if allah loves its (not his) mahoundians so much, how come there isn't anything resembling Tokyo, Zurich, Munich, NYC or San Francisco in the black-stone-worshipping lands of Dar al-Openseweristan? The only thing mahoundians would tell us in response to this question would be "o effendi, eez all da Jooz' fault!!!"; without, of course, being able to ever mention one shred of evidence linking any Jews to their self-inflicted massive ignorance, misogyny, poverty, illiteracy rates, lack of economic and intellectual development, rock-bottom average IQ levels, fratricidal violence, intolerance, stupidity and backwardness.

These idiots should be given airtime and be able to spread their message at peak time on every Australian television channel. This way the people will really despise these bloody fools and show them how democracy works and kicks them out of our country.
The average Aussie already hears enough nonsense concerning Muslims and their wish to inflict their ways on us.
Show them the bloody door and leave our big island free of such vermin. We already have enough snakes and things to bite us, without having to hear this rubbish.
Oh, the government should make every migrant swear an allegiance to this country. If your religious belief is more important than swearing an allegiance to our country, then we have the right to say we don't want you. Oh, and if we hear a whisper that you changed your mind - then we still don't want you and will send you packing - Koran and all you stupid beliefs.
Now get out of my bloody secular country you disturbed creatures. Get back under the rock where you belong. Primitive damn monkeys...

"...secular and erroneous concepts such as democracy and freedom..."

More proof that Muslims do not worship the same God that Christ, the prophets, and apostles proclaimed.

"Ye shall know the Truth and the Truth shall set you free" (John 8:32)

"Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty" (2 Cor. 3:17).

When the Israelites asked for a king like the nations around them, the LORD told Samuel that, "they have not rejected you, they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them." (1 Sam. 8:7).

And, seeing the prevalence of sodomy, violence, and theft in most Muslim countries (perhaps a reason why most are so poor when they don't have oil?), it is clear that Islam further enslaves man to sin.

From article...Muslims should not support "any kafir (non-believer) political party", because humans have no right to make laws.

Well we know that no US Congressman is Islamic...if you don't count Ellison...That's all these kufr do is make laws...

I approve of this advice...voting is haram...
Mahoundians should avoid those evil kufr voting palaces like they would avoid the plague...or a ham burger...

Don't mean to say I'm islamoloathic, but clearly I am. "moslems should shun "secular and erronious concepts such as democracy and freedom". Okay, then get the Hell out of our neighborhood. Because here they are not "concepts" OR "erronious", they are our way of life.

I recall when living in Australia several years ago that immigrants had to make a specific pledge:

--------------------------------------------
From this time forward
I pledge my loyalty to Australia and its people,
whose democratic beliefs I share,
whose rights and liberties I respect, and
whose laws I will uphold and obey.
--------------------------------------------

How does this leave any room for a group like HT? Come to think of it, ... How does it leave any room for a group like Islam?

Aussies - don't give in ever!

Oi Oi Oi !

This's very true of Hizbut T. They are major threat to Indonesia too. See Ross's Right Angle blog, for expats but many Indonesia people read too.

sri wrote: I suspect they have a test built in which flags non-aus IPs when you post, this might be part of the issue.

Aah thanks, you could be right there – although you'd think the comment screening would only be for content for an online publication rather than IP origin (given the number of Aussies around the world). So, going by the proviso in the pop-up after submitting, that anything they consider offensive, off topic, not factual (!) etc. will be rejected, I suspect filtering any non-PC truth could be their primary criterion. Especially in light of the general focus and ignorance of the real issue in the comments posted.

dumbledoresarmy,

Thank you for that fabulous bit of history. Awesome!

And, Let allah the uncreator, war-demon of the Arabs, rock-spider of Arabia, be driven away into the abyss.

I second that also!

Amen, Amen!

blues4allah,

Unfortunately, practicing Muslims have no concept of personal ethics so any kafir oath or pledge has absolutely no meaning for them – their only loyalty is to Islam which requires taqiyya, kitman and all means necessary to further its cause and world domination.

Remember, the failed Times Square car bomber, Faisal Shahzad, was a naturalized U.S. citizen from Pakistan, who obviously committed perjury without a second thought when he took the US Oath of Allegiance:

I hereby declare, on oath,
that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen; that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same...

That's why Islam is the greatest threat to humanity and ultimately fatal to all souls deceived by it.

When I stayed at my elderly mother-in-law's flat in Lakemba (Sydney), just before moving to the US in '95, it was like living in a Muslim country! A mosque just down the block; a Haj shop owner across the street was the local Muslim's 'bank' (all cash transactions = no tax) – and we had to put up with neighbors blaring their Arabic radio stations...ugh!
God save Australia!

Though I despise much about Islam, in all fairness, I do have to point out that, while traveling in Egypt, I was impressed by the overwhelming friendliness and hospitality of its people (who knew I was an infidel), and their honesty.

Let's be careful about making blanket statements about entire groups of people, less we make the mistake of sliding into racist generalizations.

That has to remain my take on all this madness.

WHY are people that hatefully reject the founding beliefs of their new country allowed to remain there? There has got to be some standard for immigration. There is nothing wrong with only accepting immigrants that want to become American (or Australian, etc.), instead of rejecting all we have to offer them.

In the US people complain about Mexican/Latino immigrants, but almost all the Mexican/Latino immigrants I know love America- a large percentage join the military, and they share the same core values as we do. They come here to work hard and make a better life, not to tear down Democracy or other cherished freedoms and values.

Muslim immigrants are the opposite, they form their own little communities, and then want nothing to do with their "host" country or it's values. The actively hate the surrounding culture as if it had nothing to do with their ability to live a nicer life here. This is not why ywe allow immigration! I don't know how to stop it, but we have to try. There is no reason to let in angry muslims while we deny hard working people that share our values.
