Banks won't take Fort Hood jihadist's paychecks

One would think that murdering thirteen Americans in the name of Islamic jihad would at least get you suspended without pay, but no such luck. "Banks won't take Fort Hood shooting suspect's paychecks, by Jeremy Schwartz for the American-Statesman, July 29 (thanks to Roger):

As he sits in the Bell County Jail, accused of the Nov. 5 Fort Hood shooting that left 13 dead, Maj. Nidal Hasan continues to receive his monthly U.S. Army paycheck, which based on his rank and experience is probably more than $6,000.

That's standard procedure for soldiers who are confined before military trial, according to Army officials.

But Hasan, charged with a shooting spree that shocked the country, is not a standard defendant. And he's having a hard time finding a bank to take his money.

According to his civilian attorney John Galligan , Bank of America notified Hasan last month that it was closing his account and no area bank so far has agreed to open an account for the Army psychiatrist. Military regulations require soldiers to be paid through direct deposit, making a bank account indispensable.

"I think it's just another example of the prejudice that he's been exposed to," Galligan said. "It's money that he's entitled to, that he has a right to."...

A right to? For reporting his patients for war crimes? For murdering Americans? For jihad?

Shame on you for defending the Jihadist and making excuses for him.

"the prejudice he's been exposed to" - You've got to be joking, Galligan. You need to have your head examined. Even for a defense attorney, you're over-the-top slime.

Bravo Bank of America! The bank has morals!

Galligan's idea of rights and entitlement are similar to the liberal lefts idea of constitutional rights and a civilian trial for K Mohammad and buddies...

"It's money that he's entitled to, that he has a right to."...
Yep, otherwise it's the "islamophobia pill"!
http://crossmuslims.blogspot.com/2010/04/are-you-islamophobe.html

Sure, I guess they have regulations, fine. But why don't they bust his rank down to pfc and give him that paycheck?

Then he can get a power of attorney to have his check direct deposited into his lawyers account or something. At least his attorney will have a per diem for all those nasty hospital lunches he has to buy visiting his most despised client.

His rights under UCMJ are all well and good - Fine and dandy. He gets paid - ostensibly to afford his legal defense. That's the way a free nation works - Innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt via trial..... and things need to stay that way or each and every one of us could wind up in front of an 'impartial' judge simply for dissent from the current administration.

I have a question though: Who’s paying the attorney's fees, some Muslim terrorist organization like C.A.I.R. or just the US taxpayers through Maj. Hasan's continued salary..... or both ? I'm pretty sure we're talking about billable hours that are 'a bit' more money than his salary could ever cover..... and if this gent Galligan is doing it all 'pro bono'..... why ?

From the full article:

"But experts say banks have the right to choose their clients as long as they do not discriminate against a class of people."
-----------
There is a new class of people in the U.S. and it's growing by leaps and bounds.

It's called the "Terrorist Class."

Americans: It is a "good thing" that even a despicable creature like Nidal Hassan gets a chance to defend himself and prove himself in a court of law. That's what differentiates the USA from all the sundry Sharia shitholes.

There was a lot of misplaced outrage in India too, that the Mumbai terrorist Ajmal Kasab was getting to defend himself in court, and was offered a lawyer at state expense. I, for one, maintain that no matter what happens, the basic constitutionally granted freedoms must not be compromised.

That nice couple down the block, that rented a simple flat, that both lost their jobs due to the economic downturn, whose unemployment dried up, the overly plump government handouts not quite fitting the bill has them now living out of their car. It's nice to hear a story that this cog of government is smoothy purring along, and that not all need suffer in these difficult times.

"I think it's just another example of the prejudice that he's been exposed to," said Hasan's dhimmi lawyer.

Yes, the kind of prejudice that a discerning person employs to tell a green light from a red light.

Don't worry Niddy, I'm sure John Galligan would be happy to deposit your checks into his account, and pass the money along to you, for a fee.

Follow up to this.........

I knew it in advance, but needed to confirm the regs still existed as-is.

All US Military personnel are paid via direct deposit - that's ALL personnel - since very early in the 1990's.... and that just about every military base has a 'bank' or 'credit union' within the gates....... and regs allowing banks on post also require them to accept all military personnel direct deposit pay regardless of legal status in service....... that the banks on base don't have an option in this regard.

However, the soldier does have the option to bank anyplace they want....... which if off post (even if it's the same banking company) can deny service due to legal status.

Maj. Hasan is still listed as an officer in The United States Army, drawing pay, and therefore is legally entitled to a bank account on post at his last duty assignment (Ft. Hood).

All it takes is a signature on a few forms.

This is a complete smoke and mirror job by the esteemed John Paul Galligan, Esq.

Why does he even want that nasty infidel, capitalist money anyway?

Good. Banks are one of the last places I would look for anti-dhimmitude, but glad to find it in this case.

More:

The military may indeed be obliged to continue paying Hasan.

But *no bank*—which are private civilian institutions—has any obligation to open an account for Nidal Hasan.

See my comment above.

It's reality, like it or not.

If Maj. Hasan was reduced in rank, that would be considered a circumstance to possibly deny bank service on post. He has not been reduced in rank yet - pending outcome of trial.

The last thing I want to see is this piece of garbage breathing my air, let alone still getting paid with my tax dollars.

However, the law and Mil Regs are in place.

Although I'm a proponent of smaller government and the reduction of government laws, growth and power, in this case I believe there should be a new military regulation that states if anyone in the U.S. military is caught mass murdering their fellows in the U.S. military, they should be declared enemy combatants and executed regardless of whether they are American citizens. We're in a war against Islamists. If Islamists are in our midst and declare war on the rest of us we should legally be able to respond in kind.

"I think it's just another example of the prejudice that he's been exposed to," Galligan said. "It's money that he's entitled to, that he has a right to"

Perhaps he should also be given a productivity bonus.

How about a bullet.

Hassan is just another Islamic genocidal supremacist scumbag who has already gotten FAR too much publicity. Let's get on with his trial and put him to death quickly.
We need to remember those AMERICANS he killed and wounded and also the AMERICAN Mrs. Munley police officer girl who was severely wounded trying to protect our AMERICAN military and civilians on that base.

"Hassan is just another Islamic Jihadist genocidal supremacist scumbag who has already gotten FAR too much publicity. Let's get on with his trial and put him to death quickly."

Oh yeah. The "allahu akbar" mass-murderer.

Hey defense atty Galligan - SHAME ON YOU.

Hassan is just another Islamic genocidal supremacist scumbag who has already gotten FAR too much publicity. Let's get on with his trial and put him to death quickly

There should have been no trial. He should have been finished off with a shot to the head. In times past, this is exactly what would have happened. But we live in a politically correct West where we fight wars with the intention of bringing our enemies to the courtroom first and foremost rather than killing them on the spot. That is the kind of war we can never win.

One of the few Stalinist/KGB tricks that I can now agree with, was the concept of: quick trial, verdict, sentence & sentence execution. The gap between the latter two was often a matter of minutes or the time it took to take the accused from courtroom to gallows or "room with no view".
This murderer should be dead already and too bad if he loses his house and property.

In the Pacific war the allies quickly learnt that the oneway application of the Geneva convention simply killed more of your own troops and thus finally woke up and waged "total War".

This he ONLY way to combat Islam as the west finally learnt after the battle for Vienna and as the Israelis have learnt also but who are constantly undermined by western fools disguised as "leaders".

What will it take for the west to wake up? we all know.
That expected nuke. And while we wait the migrate and they breed.
We do NOT deserve to survive. But once we fall, the name of every western leader who cooperated with the fall will forever be infamous. That is, provided us dhimmis are allowed to be literate.

We desperately need a leader. But will those with the power and the money allow one? If not, then why?

Galligan...you traitorist piece of crap! Do you belong to the ACLU ya dirty rat fink? Hang Hasan NOW...he doesn't deserve pay nor does he deserve a trial. He was caught red handed, now read him his rights and hang the bastard muslim.

PS Galligan, You are indeed the enemy from within that is helping to destroy this country. I hope your proud of yourself you piece of shit...I bet you would lose interest in this case real fast if you were to do it pro bono ya bone head.
