End Times nigh: WaPo Faith blog runs another post against the Islamic supremacist mega-mosque at Ground Zero

What has gotten into the Washington Post? Has hell frozen over?

The first column against the mega-mosque is here. "A mosque at Ground Zero is inappropriate and counterproductive," by Richard Land at the Washington Post's On Faith blog, July 22:

Having a mosque at Ground Zero would be the equivalent of having a Japanese Shinto shrine built next to the USS Arizona. Do the followers of Shinto have a right to have a shrine in Honolulu? Yes. In close proximity to the USS Arizona? No. I am well aware that many Japanese did not support the attack on Pearl Harbor and in fact, Japanese-Americans in a Nisei battalion composed the most decorated combat unit in the American armed forces in WWII, as they demonstrated their patriotism, even while many of their family members were shamefully placed in internment camps in the United States. That still does not negate the fact that it would be inappropriate to have a Japanese shrine in close proximity to the USS Arizona. It is similarly inappropriate to put a mosque in close proximity to Ground Zero.

I may be wrong, but I don't think Shinto is a religion based on expansion by violence or is as openly hostile to non-believers as is Islam. In that regard, Land's conclusion is right but he understates the problem.

"Has hell frozen over?"

I always thought the Cubs would win a World Series before we saw this.

He could not resist the line that the wartime internment of Japanese was "shameful". If civil war comes to our countries because of Islam we will not be "shameful"; instead we will leave them free to do whatever they like, join whatever side they like. Why, it would be against our principles of freedom to think of national security in wartime, wouldn't it?

Mayor Bloomberg, are you listening?

Apart from whatever legitimate prudential considerations can and should be considered in the building of a new house of worship, Mr. Land's argument seems flimsy and does not seem to meaningfully address the questionable subjectivism within it.

No mosque should be near Ground Zero, he says, just like no Shinto temple should be near Pearl Harbor. So what is 'near'? 1 mile? 2 miles? 5 miles?

And the manifold extrapolations from such ideas go into all sorts of amusing directions.

So if no mosque of any kind should ever be near ground zero, then let's not forget that all those attackers were of 'Middle Eastern descent', to use common parlance. And, if I'm not mistaken, isn't Mr. Spencer of Middle Eastern descent? Well, it stands to reason, then, that nobody of Middle
Eastern descent, including Mr. Spencer, should be allowed anywhere near the WTC site, as any of those swarthy Mideast types would be a painful reminder to New Yorkers of the horrible suffering that day.

True, one could claim that Mr. Spencer didn't support the Al Qaeda attacks on New York, and that this wouldn't be fair to him. Well yes, but, to paraphrase Mr. Land, that just doesn't negate how inappropriate it would be to have a Mr. Spencer roaming around the place.

And come to think of it, should Mr. Fitzgerald be allowed anywhere in the UK,given that people with that surname tend to be associated with an ethnic group from which stemmed a terrorist group that plagued the UK with bombs for so many years? Why should Britons be subjected to somebody of his ilk?

Suddenly, the phone rings. "Hello, Is Robert Spencer there? This is the President."
"Spencer here!"
"Hello, Robert, this is Barack Obama. Listen, after reading some postings on your website, especially those long and thoughtful ones by Hugh Fitzgerald, I've decided that you really may have something unique to say about Islam. What do you say we get together next weekend for a beer?"
"I'd be delighted!"
"Great, We'll schedule you to be choppered over."

I'm going to go check the sky for airborne pigs.

The "Kill the Unbelievers" teachings of Islam murdered 3,000 Americans on 9/11.

It is 100% inappropriate, dishonorable and insulting for any kind of structure in which the subjugation/annihilation of non-Muslims is taught (Koran) to be located in the proximity of Ground Zero.

The Muslims are doing this on purpose to say, "Stupid Kuffar, we conquered Lower Manhattan, and this is just the beginning."

There shouldn't be any mosks in NYC. There's already 200. Good Grief. And each one is an outpost (military base) for "Kill the Unbelievers" Islam. God help us.

So if no mosque of any kind should ever be near ground zero, then let's not forget that all those attackers were of 'Middle Eastern descent', to use common parlance.

No where near means 5000 miles in my estimation, and middle Eastern descent people are fine with me if they are not Mahoundians...If they are Mahoundians, they should be way over their with their mosque...

Surprised, dumbfounded, flabbergasted, shocked, amazed, speechless, and stupefied. After all that I could still put a thesaurus to good use expressing my complete disbelief that this kind of story was in the WaPo, not once, but twice!!!

You argument makes no sense. If Middle Easterns want to go to ground zero, then go. Just don't build a mosque there. What part of that don't you understand?

"Nowhere near means 5000 miles in my estimation"

lol! So right.

We have to realize how horrible the 911 mosque is.

The Islamists will continue to push and push us without stop until we just say, NO.

They have no shame.

Just consider this from their own literature.

What it says is that, according to Muhammad, the male children of infidels will sexually serve Muslim men in paradise.

“(There wait on them) for service (immortal youths) servants; it is also said that these are the children of the disbelievers who are made servants for the people of Paradise. Another way of reading this verse is (There wait on them youths, and they are immortal): i.e. they will never die nor leave the Garden.”

I can't express the disgust I experience in the presence of members of this cult, this poisonous weed in our midst.

They are beyond disgusting.

They are criminals who need to be treated as such and exposed for the filth that they are.

Muslims in the West Bank asked musical group Boney M not to play their hit "Rivers of Babylon." And Boney M complied.

http://new.music.yahoo.com/boney-m/news/boney-m-asked-to-skip-hit-in-west-bank-gig--62003556

A Slippery Slope argument. If you want to argue for the mosque then do so with reasoned argument.

IMO, not a single mosque should be built anywhere in any western country unless and until the entire islamic world allows other faiths to build and practice without harassment in their countries. Since we all know very well that this will never happen this solves any moral and practical problems quite neatly I think.

I read "End Times nigh" in the title as "End Times High." Yes, let's all go to the hop at End Times High. You know where the town of End Times is, don't you? It's a little bit further down the highway, just beyond Harm's Way, Virginia.

Your assessment suffers from tedious overthink. Loosen up. It's not nearly as complicated as you made it, and I think you made it the way you did principally for obfuscation's sake and not that of clarity.

What has gotten into the Washington Post?

Maybe the death threats against Comedy Central and the death fatwa by al-Awlaki against the girl who started Draw Muhammad Day are hitting home at the Washington Post. Maybe the Washington Post is realizing that it's not just U.S. buildings, Times Square, military bases, etc., that are under attack, but the right to think and speak freely, the mind itself, and not just in Saudi Arabia, but right here at home.

I would never suggest that Britons be subjected to someone of my ilk. And considering how much I was charged for a jar of Tiptree Little Scarlet the last time I was flying out of Heathrow, I'm unlikely to have the wherewithal to do so even if I so chose.

fairuzfan,

You’ve completely overlooked the causal argument here - namely: ISLAM – despite your apparent word games about “middle-eastern” ethnicity. Such a flimsy argument, in my opinion, has nothing to do with the affront to moral decency that the monstrous victory mosque poses to the sacred memory 3000 vaporized human beings that were wiped from the face of the earth by 9 Islamic, sex-crazed, martyrs with visions of ‘paradise’ burned into their small brains on 9/11. Further: I strongly suspect you are a Mohammedan which would go a long way to explaining your strange logic.

Trial balloon...

American (and especially Washington) jihadwatchers: be sure to write brief, appreciative emails to Mr Richard Land; back up with brief, appreciative Letters to the Editor.

You can always throw in one or two little nuggets of extra information about the nature and function of mosques, as abundantly demonstrated by all the stories of 'mosques behaving badly' that are archived on this site.

Send Mr Land, and the editor of the Washington Post, the reference for Mr Seth J Frantzman's excellent little 'Jerusalem Post' article on the significance of the placement of mosques. The title of the article focuses on minarets, but it is mostly about mosques, whether with minarets or without.

Here it is.

http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?cid=1239710820237&pagename=JPost%2FJPArticle%2FShowFull

Apr 29, 2009 20:29 | Updated Apr 30, 2009 18:09

"More than a coincidence: Minarets, geography and power".

From that article:

"The building of new mosques has become an issue throughout European cities, from Munich to London. In some places, such as Italy, Switzerland and Greece, governments have struggled to prevent their erection.

"Yet while there is controversy over their very construction, **there is usually very little questioning about why they are built where they are built** {my emphasis - dda}.

"A survey of historical placement of mosques in important cities and newly conquered Muslim lands, as well as a survey of the placement of mosques in diverse neighborhoods, shows that

**their placement is anything but random and that strikingly often they are built next to the houses of prayer or the neighborhoods of non-Muslims** {my emphasis - dda}...

"THE MOSQUE and its minaret are symbols of power.

"The giant brick tower of Qutb Minar in Delhi is 72 meters high and until recent times was the world's tallest minaret. It was constructed by the sultans of Delhi to celebrate their victory and conquest of the city.

"Even in more obscure locations, the building of minarets [sic: Mr Frantzman could have written 'mosques and minarets'] has served as an expression of power and influence.

"The center of the Jewish Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem has long been the Hurva Synagogue which was constructed and reconstructed several times between 1700 and the present. But attached to this great synagogue is a mosque whose minaret is intentionally taller than the Hurva's dome.

"The America Colony Hotel in Sheikh Jarrah has a mosque next door to it.

"The Western Wall of Jerusalem has a mosque perched atop its northern end.

" The Mount of Olives Jewish graveyard has a mosque which adjoins it.

" Jeremiah's Grotto in east Jerusalem, which was for a long time a pilgrimage site, now obscured by the east Jerusalem central bus station, also has a mosque at its entrance.

"The Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem has a large mosque just across from it on Manger Square, constructed in a town which at the time was 80 percent Christian.

"A controversy over Muslim attempts to build a mosque next to the Basilica of the Annunciation in Nazareth led to riots in 2002.

" In each of these cases the mosques were built after the non-Muslim building was constructed.

"The building of mosques is not always an expression of power, but historically and today in mixed communities mosques are constructed with a view toward the non-Muslim other.

"This author is even familiar with a family of Palestinian communists in the West Bank where a mosque was, not coincidentally, constructed next door to their house.

"It becomes blatantly obvious in a community like Sheikh Jarrah in east Jerusalem, where almost every other mosque is situated next to a Christian building or former holy site.

"The next time one sees a mosque, he should not take it for granted.

"**Many of them have a history and geographical placement that is not coincidental and which serves as an expression of political Islam and its aspirations** {my emphasis - dda}.

Mr Frantzman, a PhD student in geography at the Hebrew University, runs the Terra Incognita blog. sfrantzman@hotmail.com

Perhaps Mr Frantzman could be contacted and asked to offer an assessment of the proposed Cordoba House/ Park51 mosque in New York City. Or he may have professors whom he could recommend as Authorities..

"No where near means 5000 miles in my estimation"

Make that 50,000 miles. Actually it is evil, and needs to be destroyed completely.

And pursuant to my posting immediately above:

As a practical example of precisely the point that Mr Frantzman is making, let's examine *another* hotly-disputed mosque proposal, not in New York City, but in Britain.

From the New English Review, February 2010 -
"And just where do you think you're putting those minarets you 'orrible little man?"

http://www.newenglishreview.org/blog_direct_link.cfm/blog_id/26060

"14 years ago the Bengali Welfare Association in the town bought an old Victorian former school (St Gregory's) to use for their mosque.

"The building is in a conservation area and is listed.

"Now they have applied (and been granted) planning permission to knock the old building down and build what is described as a 'traditional' mosque with the dome and big minarets."

Now for the kicker:

'Today the News of the World has an exclusive on the objections raised by the Ministry of Defence, which I hope will be taken seriously, **in view of the close proximity of Sandhurst Military College where British Army officers are trained** {my emphasis - dda}.

http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/news/734202/Mosque-near-Sandhurst.html

QUOTE:

"DEFENCE chiefs are fighting plans to build a giant mosque overlooking Britain's top military academy. They claim the new centre poses a security threat to budding Army officers at world-famous Sandhurst.

"The building would have a huge dome **and two 100ft minarets towering over the soldiers' parade ground** {my emphasis - dda}."...

"The minarets will be sited within 400 yards of the Royal Military Academy in Surrey....

"Campaign leader Alan Kirkland said: "A lot of people are questioning the size of the minarets which will overlook the whole of the academy."

"Local MEP Nigel Farage said: "I am appalled at such an idea. Many fear it could pose a grave security risk."

'A Ministry of Defence spokesman said: "Sandhurst has put in an objection on the grounds of security." END QUOTE

I encourage people reading this to click on the 'News of the World' link - which is still active as of today July 23 2010 - and read both the article and the accompanying comments. There are plenty from native non-Muslims who have 'woken up' and are most alarmed and angry; but there are also some truly appalling remarks by obvious Mohammedan spin-doctors and brazen liars...as well as sneering Muslim triumphalists, boasting and taunting.

The most telling of *those* is this one, by an identified Muslim, from which the sneering triumphalism blasts like heat from a furnace. I'm reproducing it here, because it's a classic of its kind.

"get over it. This is multicultural Britian in case you haven't noticed. **Muslims are here to stay. If you don't like it, you should leave.** {Nota bene, everyone: the sheer 'assuming the sale' arrogance and aggression - dda}.

"There are not enough Mosques as it is. {sic: I think a lot of British non-Muslims would disagree - in reality, there are already far too many mosques in the UK, and too many of those are proven stewpots of hate and Jihad plots - see 'Undercover Mosque' - dda}.

"There are churches everywhere. We should be able to have just as many places to worship as all the other religions have." {Hear the tone of whining resentment? - dda}.

"We have the right to do what ever our religion says"

{Oh, **do you**, my dear? Did you just say what I think you said? *Whatever* your 'religion' says? OK: so you feel fully entitled to practise, on British soil, forced veiling and purdah, child marriage and child rape, forced marriage, 'honor' murder, FGM, wife-beating, polygyny, talaq divorce, stonings, murder of 'apostates' and 'blasphemers' [i.e of anyone who tries to leave Islam, or who criticises or mocks Islam], kidnapping and rape and enslavement and armed robbery and mass murder of infidel victims? imposition of dhimmi rules? silencing church bells? ETC...? - dda}

"and there isn't a single thing you can do about it."

{Note the incredible, sneering arrogance and triumphalism? But I think the Muslims like this one are about to find out that the EDL and a lot of other people in the UK do think that there is quite a lot they can do about it - dda}.

Barak Hussein Obama and his czars will not be pleased with the Washington Post's betrayal. Obama's sycophants in the MSM are demanding that Fox News have its 'license' revoked for daring to report unflattering stories about Obama and his corrupt, socialist administration. Looks like Obama's media czar has another renegade on his hands. I expect to see some Orwellian regulatory machinations by Obama's Marxist revolutionaries in charge of shutting up the opposition. They are long overdue.

I think Mr. Land deserves applause for his post and kudos to WaPo for publishing it.
I would just correct Mr. Land on 2 points:

1. While "inappropriate" is an appropriate (sic) description for this abomination, I believe that "shameful" is not too strong.

2. This building is not, "in close proximity to Ground Zero." It was damaged in the attacks! It is PART of Ground Zero. And should be preserved as such.

But things are looking-up--more folks are coming-out publicly against it. Could we just get ONE Democrat to join-in? Talk about your flying pigs!

In the original Hebrew, for those of you who can read it.

Tears come to my eyes whenever I hear this sung by Don McLean, Bob Marley, Boney M.

On an historical note, Jews just commemorated the 9th of Av, the anniversary of the destruction of both temples and Jerusalem.

Fairuzfan in the past, descendantofcrusader, has claimed he's a Roman Catholic but there are several here at JW who have doubted this. Speaking for myself, I'm not sure. He could be, then again it might be all taqiyya. But this much is certain about him: Either he's a dhimmi apologist for Islam or a Muslim. I don't see a third option out there.

Time, time, time. All it's gonna take is time.

Fairfuzzfan,

Can you tell me where the first mosque was built?

1. Maybe Islam is finally starting to overplay its hand.

2. The correct analogy is not so much Shinto /USS Arizona, rather Aryan supremacy shine/Auschwitz.

Time, time, time. All it's gonna take is time.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y1lpMEFl1aA&feature=related

This is for those who know what's coming.

Enjoy while it lasts.

fairuzfan,
Richard Land uses the term "inappropriate." He doesn't say it would be illegal to build the mosque.

Because the assertion is merely that it's inappropriate (whatever that means), the proximity question doesn't have to be so precisely defined. Instead it's a matter of the overwhelming impression many people have of Imam Rauf's intentions in seeking to build the mosque so in-our-faces, or rather, so in-the-face of the WTC site. Even if that aggressive pushing Islam forward doesn't constitute Islamic supremacism, it does show an astounding and terrifically troubling lack of humility in circumstances where Rauf's religion wreaked mass-murder. In the context of the WTC site, Rauf should be withdrawn into soul-searching about Islam, not brashly pushing forward big Islamic building projects with hardly a doubt or a pause right onto the site of mass-murder.

What Rauf says, even if it doesn't celebrate 9/11 as a triumphalist Islamic victory, does give the impression that Rauf doesn't see any need for radical reform in Islam, or anything profoundly wrong with Islam. Therefore many people feel, without necessarily formulating the feeling at all clearly, that with Rauf it's a little bit as if some Nazi veterans of World War II were to tell us that Nazism was not to blame for the horrors of the holocaust, because Hitler's originally benign movement had been hijacked by crazy genocidal racists and warmongers, and that in reality Nazism is a great teaching, meant to be spread by love, and so for the sake of brotherhood and outreach, we should now have a Nazi building next to Auschwitz. Somewhat similarly, Rauf tells us that the terrorists don't follow Islam's core texts or the example of Muhammad. Yet more and more non-Muslims know the earliest Islamic biographies of Muhammad, and what he did. We know first hand the totalitarian and terrorist aspects of Islam's core texts. And more and more of us who don't know much about the texts nevertheless grok the gestalt of Islam through countless news stories from which we realize that there is something very wrong with Islam.

And in the face of all this justified apprehension on the part of non-Muslims, Rauf remains unreconstructed, and believes that "true" Islam doesn't need to change. It just needs to stop the bad people hijacking a good religion.

His anti-reformist, sharia-supporting views make Rauf, in the view of a growing number of non-Muslims, seem just a cult member who has learned from 9/11 nothing about his cult and what it did on that day.

He is thus felt to as a would-be religious imperialist seeking clumsily to impose an unaltered Islam at a point close enough to the WTC site to be under the shadow the WTC used to throw when the sun was high in the sky, close enough to be in the path of falling parts of one of the jets.

If Rauf were a real reformer, he would do something very different. Perhaps he would build, next to the WTC, a building where people would work 24/7 to fight against Sharia worldwide and for religious freedom in Muslim nations. What Rauf is doing is not only inappropriate. It's an affront to the victims of 9/11, to the United States, and to non-Muslims everywhere. That doesn't mean it's against the law. But laws may need to change to meet the totalitarian arrogance of Islam, while protecting the First Amendment.

Could you stomach the behavior that is displayed by Muslims in the UK in the following video Her in the US?
How much more can the free world take before they began to fight back against the ugly tyrannical behavior that Islam represents.

http://www.youtube. com/watch? v=_mClkUzGDhA&feature=player_ embedded

Also did anyone see this tonight on FOX:

SHOUTING MATCH ON HANNITY TONIGHT BETWEEN HANNITY AND A LOONEY DHIMMI ON THE GROUND ZERO MOSQUE

Boy did anyone check out the clash between Sean Hannity and an the amazing ignorant dhimmi he had on his program this evening. The guy admittedly did not have a clue as to what Islam and sharia where all about.

It was amazing to listen to this clueless character. Sean to his credit being the pit bull he is machined gunned the guy with all kinds thing that define sharia from the horrible treatment of women and the desire to put America under sharia. This character got mad and told Sean " I don't care what they believe its a religion so leave them alone and let them build there mosque". His ignorance was almost overwhelming in regards to Islam.

If you did not see it, hopefully it show up on Breibart, youtube,Atlas shrugs,or Jihadwatch.

The issue is not "being reminded of the 9/11 terrorists and the suffering that they caused." Otherwise anything and everything will fall into that category of being "reminders" of the "9/11 terrorists and the suffering that they caused," including memorials to the victims, as well as any talk about it by the victims' families, the mainstream media, and all other people. That, of course, would be absurd. And that's why the issue that you raised is not the issue at all.

The issue, rather, is that of "adding of insult to injury." The 9/11 terrorism is the injury. The mosque near the terrorism site is the insult. How so?

The 9/11 terrorists were inspired by the Islamic Supremacist Ideology to commit the 9/11 terrorism that they committed. You see, a mosque is about Islam. And Islam is about Islamic Supremacist Ideology. Therefore, to build a grand mosque near the very site of the 9/11 terrorism is to build a very symbolic monument to the very act of the 9/11 terrorism itself. And that's an insult not only to the 9/11 victims' families, but to the U.S. itself - an insult added to the injury of the 9/11 terrorism.

Beware folks, the following is "very dangerous" and subversive Zionist propaganda:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fGyfxOCYvtM&feature=related

"The process of settlement is a "Civilization-Jihadist Process" with all the word means. The Ikhwan must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and "sabotaging" its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God's religion is made victorious over all other religions. Without this level of understanding, we are not up to this challenge and have not prepared ourselves for Jihad yet. It is a Muslim's destiny to perform Jihad and work wherever he is and wherever he lands until the final hour comes, and there is no escape from that destiny except for those who chose to slack. But, would the slackers and the Mujahedeen be equal."

Quote from Muslim Brotherhood Charter
Mohamed Akram, Muslim Botherhood of North America
May 19, 1991

"Further: I strongly suspect you are a Mohammedan which would go a long way to explaining your strange logic."

True, doac ...I have long suspected that fairuzfan is a muslim posing as a Catholic.

"2. The correct analogy is not so much Shinto /USS Arizona, rather Aryan supremacy shine/Auschwitz."
Not so sure this is appropriate.
1)The term "Aryan" was misused by Germans .The actual meaning of Aryan is cultured/respected.
"Nazi Memorial" might be more appropriate.
2). I feel that this Islamists are trying to replicate what they did in India - the RamaJanmabhoomi Temple that was destroyed to build THE BABRI MASJID ,in New York city's Ground Zero.

http://www.theamericanmuslim.org/tam.php/features/articles/geller_spencer_the_cordoba_house_fear_and_loathing_in_new_york/0018148

Don't forget to read the Ummah Spin.

"I think I’ve made my point very clearly. Islamophobia is a barely warmed over, 20 seconds in the microwave, version of traditional anti-Semitism, and I’m sorry that the reader has fallen for it. If we were transported to the 1920s and 30s, I’m sure he’d be demanding to know if anyone really thought “those people” (the Jews) were really reasonable and decent given what they supposedly believe and what is supposedly in their holy books, etc. Can’t we ever learn our lesson?"

"Geller and Spencer may claim some sort of impartiality, and Geller has gone so far as to claim that she “loves Muslims” - but as Loonwatch says “Geller’s truthfulness can be gauged by a statement that I do not think even her die-hard supporters can believe. It would be the equivalent of David Duke saying “I love blacks.” On a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being extremely dishonest and 10 being insanely dishonest), how dishonest do you think Geller is?”

As Asma T. Uddin has noted Geller’s relegation of Islam to enemy status creates an Islam to be feared and abhorred. It is a conception that is not grounded in reality, but it is nonetheless propelling American society down the same road it has traveled many times before, to its own detriment. Reflecting upon this historical trajectory should help us see past the present environment, fraught with fear, and move to the next stage of coexistence, where we learn to look past two-dimensional stereotypes and generalizations and see the newcomer not as “other” but as “American.” "

=======

Read the whole thing. The next stage of mutually exclusive existence has arrived. In these two last paragraphs is the essence of the islamic thrust going forward. islam = black, and islam = America...

You will notice a defense for Jews in there. Don't be fooled, muslims are the prime fount of Jew hate. Pushing Jews with nazi boogie men threats towards islamic arms open for the deathly embrace.

Hey Champ, how are you doing? This whole conversation regarding being able to "identify" Moslem infiltrators has provoked my crazy mind into thinking, again, about a subject I've often wondered about and have even speculated on here at JW in the past.

I wonder if there have been psychological profiles of devout/radical (aka mainstream) Moslems done to the extent where, within the space of a single interview, one could determine whether or not you're likely dealing with a Mohammadan, or an otherwise seriously disturbed individual?

It would be a really handy tool here at JW!

I would think such a profile, if there is one, would resemble a criminal profile, or the profile of an inherently violent/brainwashed individual.

Recently, though I can't seem to find the link, a psychologist/psychiatrist in Europe profiled many young Moslem teens in the corrections system, and noted how vastly different they were from native teens in attitudes and psychological makeup.

@ Fairuzfan

Let's describe a parallel situation as it would be seen through your Muslim eyes.
A group of Israelis hi-jack a plane full of Muslim passengers and fly it into the Kabba at Mecca. Thousands die. A few years later, an Israeli pops up and starts suggesting that a synagogue be built on the site called The Eretz Synagogue.

Would that be 'inappropriate', as far as your concerned? Yes!!?
Well, that's why the Ground Zero mosque is 'inappropriate'.

Hi, El ...I agree, a tool like that would be very useful. People like Hugh, dda, Hesp & Awake immediately come to mind as posters that I've gleaned insights from over the years on what to look for in spotting a mohammedan, along with other great posters, too. Yeah, what a great idea! I am well, thank you. How are you? :)

http://amillennialist.blogspot.com/2010/07/return-hagia-sofia-and-every-other-non.html

Return the Hagia Sofia and every other non-Muslim house of worship converted into a mosque, rebuild those you've destroyed, apologize for fourteen hundred years of enslaving, raping, and slaughtering non-Muslims, and then we can talk

A mosque at Ground Zero? I’m against it.

Did the United States allow a shrine to the Emperor of Japan to be built at Pearl Harbor? Did the British allow the National Socialists to erect a führerhauptquartiere in London? How long was it after modern Israel’s creation that it allowed a Hitler memorial library in Jerusalem? If a non-Muslim nation were to erase the Kaaba, would Saudi Arabia allow within a stone’s throw of its former location a cathedral, synagogue, fire temple, mandir, vihara, gurdwara, or spirit house? Why should we allow an altar of Islamic bloodlust to be erected at the site of one of its bloodiest sacrifices, an outpost promoting the ideology directly responsible for 9/11?

Prime minister Erdogan of modern, moderate Turkey (elected after the law was changed to allow jihadists to run for office – now that’s progress! Let them into the EU!) on the true nature of a mosque:

"The mosques are our barracks, the domes our helmets, the minarets our bayonets and the faithful our soldiers...”

Unfortunately for non-Muslims, that line of “poetry” is descriptive and not merely metaphorical. Throughout its fourteen hundred years of conquest, slaughter, rape, and slavery, Islam has used the mosque to train, motivate, and sustain generation after generation of jihad’s agents, propagating the “faith” Muhammad spread by the sword:

“the Messenger of Allah . . . would say: 'Fight in the name of Allah and in the way of Allah. Fight against those who disbelieve in Allah. Make a holy war. . . . When you meet your enemies who are polytheists, invite them to three courses of action. . . . Invite them to (accept) Islam; if they respond to you, accept it from them and desist from fighting against them. . . . If they refuse to accept Islam, demand from them the Jizya. If they agree to pay, accept it from them and hold off your hands. If they refuse to pay the tax, seek Allah's help and fight them . . .'" (Muslim Book 19, Number 4294).

"fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war) . . . " (Qur’an 9:5).

"Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued" (Qur'an 9:29).

"Allah’s Apostle said, 'I have been made victorious with terror'" (Bukhari Volume 4, Book 52, Number 220).

"Allah's Apostle was asked, 'What is the best deed?' He replied, 'To believe in Allah and His Apostle (Muhammad).' The questioner then asked, 'What is the next (in goodness)?' He replied, 'To participate in Jihad (religious fighting) in Allah's Cause . . . .’” (Bukhari Volume 1, Book 2, Number 25).

"Say to the Unbelievers, if (now) they desist (from Unbelief), their past would be forgiven them; but if they persist, the punishment of those before them is already (a matter of warning for them). And fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief and polytheism: i.e. worshipping others besides Allah) and the religion (worship) will all be for Allah Alone (in the whole of the world) . . ." (Qur'an 8:38-39).

Not only would a new mosque be another base of jihad recruitment and propaganda within our borders, but one at Ground Zero would be a tribute to jihad, a symbol of Islamic victory and non-Muslim subjugation. Islam has a long history of converting into mosques the non-Muslim religious buildings it doesn’t raze. For example, the greatest church in Christendom, the Hagia Sofia, was desecrated and turned into a mosque when Constantinople fell to the Muslim hordes laying siege to it in 1453:

". . . the great church of Hagia Sophia was filled to capacity. Thousands of people were moving towards the church. Inside, Orthodox and Catholic priests were holding liturgy, the last Christian service after almost 1,000 years. People were singing hymns, others were openly crying, others were asking each other for forgiveness . . . .

"Bands of Ottoman soldiers began now looting. Doors were broken, private homes were looted, their tenants were massacred. Shops in the city markets were looted. Monasteries and Convents were broken in. Their tenants were killed, nuns were raped; many, to avoid dishonor, killed themselves. Killing, raping, looting, burning, enslaving, went on and on . . . .

"The great doors of Hagia Sophia were forced open, and crowds of angry soldiers came in and fell upon the unfortunate worshippers. Pillaging and killing in the holy place went on for hours. Similar was the fate of worshippers in most churches in the city . . . .

"Thousands of civilians were enslaved, soldiers fought over young boys and young women . . . the invaders broke the heads of those women who resisted on the floor of the churches and they raped them dead. The famous icon of Apostole Loukas was totally destroyed.

"The sultan asked for the young sons of Duke Loukas Notaras. Their father refused and Mehmed was ready to take their heads. Notaras asked him to kill him after his sons so that he was sure that they were dead and not disgraced from the pervert sultan.

"And this is what happened."

-Black Tuesday, The Last Day of the World, the twenty-ninth of May, anno Domini MCDLIII

The suggestion of a mosque at Ground Zero (and our toleration of that suggestion!) is an affront to and shameful betrayal of those who perished on 9/11, our military who’ve sacrificed and who sacrifice now in our War of Self-Defense Against Allah, every civilization which has fallen under Muhammad’s sword over the last one and one-half millennia, and Islam’s current and future victims.

No, no mosque at Ground Zero, or anywhere.

Not only do I not agree with the building of the 9/11 Mega Mosque apparently to memorialize the 9/11 terrorist attacks in infamy, but I also don’t believe that Islam should be accorded protection under the first amendment.

I mean Islam in stark contrast to faith-based religions is a religion of submission, where the freedom of conscience, one of the hallmarks of being an American, is forbidden. In fact, the word Islam in Arabic means: to submit, and the word Muslim in Arabic means: one who submits.

Moreover, because Islam is a religion of submission as opposed to faith-based religions, a Muslim, unlike adherents of faith-based religions, can’t pick and choose what it is he or she will adhere to and what it is he or she will reject, as in Islam that is called shirk, and shirk in Islam is punished under the pain of death. Likewise, once a Muslim always a Muslim, as again unlike with faith-based religions, a Muslim can’t decide to leave Islam, because that is also punished by death. Indeed, people who assume that Islam is like other religious faiths and that Muslims are like other faith-based adherents are making a very naïve mistake.

Therefore, because Islam is a religion of submission that forbids the freedom of conscience as opposed to faith-based religions, I don’t believe it should be accorded the same protections as faith-based religions under the first amendment of the constitution. Not only that but I’m damn sure it wasn’t the intention of the founders to protect a religion of submission that forbids the freedom of conscience.

Furthermore, on top of being a religion of submission in stark contrast to faith-based religions, Islam is also a very radical form of totalitarianism that seeks world domination. Hence, where in the first amendment is protection accorded to a radical form of totalitarianism? Nowhere!

Thus, Islam is not protected under the first amendment of the constitution because it is a religion of submission that forbids the freedom of conscience and also because it is a very radical form of totalitarianism that seeks world domination, and therefore it should be outlawed because the constitution isn’t a suicide pact.

At this moment in time Erdogan is making his best to please Iran by breaking relations with Israel. The purpose is quite clear,It hopes to get nuclear bombs from Iran to destroy Israel and start the creation of the new jihadist Ottoman empire,to encompass Iran(they do not know that).Guess what?My country Israel is selling Turkey drones !!!?so that they can keep an eye on TelAviv before destroying it.When we talk about The Armenian holocaust,so far we all kept quiet so as not to disturb our friend the Turks,It's high time we did.I cannot accept that anti Islamists remain the sole domain of the BMP ,it should be our problem. As to the mosque in New York,Use the old maxim "Give him a finger,he will take your hand ,give him your hand,he will take the rest of you"

The waking up is happening.

Now, can that waking up move fast enough to curb the ongoing Islamification?

The Ground Zero Mosque, a very important issue, is but one front in this battle against Islamic supremacy.

"What has gotten into the Washington Post? Has hell frozen over? "

The (non-existing) hell didn't freeze over. Instead the editors and journalists of the Washington Post have finally been enlightened. Robert Spencer should reject the notion that liberals are eternally in bed with Islam. His indefatigable quest to educate the west about Islam is finally paying off.

I am confident that we shall read similar articles in the future in the supposedly "liberal media" such as The New York Times, The Guardian,....

Let us stand together in this struggle. Anyone who values universal human rights and democratic rule should be part of the Ummmat al kuffar.

I hope the "sleeping giant" wakes up real soon. There is too much appeasement going on. I sincerely hope Americans do not tolerate this. Our own government, AKA the Obama administration, will probably sue FOR the mosque just like their suing the state of Arizona. Never before in my adult life have I ever felt our own government is against its own people.

Fairuzfan ...... I believe that Mr. Spencer's ancestors hailed from Turkey. They (and possibly he) were Greek Orthodox. I'm not aware of any Greek Orthodox flying airplanes into buildings. I don't think anyone takes exception to any Greek Orthodox walking around Ground Zero unless someone were to lump eberyone into the "middle Eastern" baskets. BTW, aren't the Copts "middle Eastern"?.....I believe Spencer's ancestors immigrated to the U.S. prior to Ataturk and as infidels were probably aware of muslim induced Armenian genocide. Sounds like a prudent move to me.

Eleanor,

You probably refer to the Danish psychologist, Nicolai Sennel, the author of "among criminal muslims"

Here is the link to his interview at the "front page magazine"

http://frontpagemag.com/2010/05/05/among-criminal-muslims/

regards,
Thomas

Hi Elly!

I think you mean Danish psychologist Nicolai Sennels?

It's good to see some posts from you and I trust all is well with your fine self! Have you converted the moonbat yet?

G

I wonder if these Islamics in the Mid East have considered, or maybe they don't care, that a nuclear attack or exchange in the relatively small MI would irradiate millions of Mahoundians and others that may survive the initial attack...If I was a ruler of border countries I would be very concerned about radiation clouds coming my way...

I understand the Japanese analogy Land uses in his article, but I don't think its an appropriate analogy. The Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor was every bit a cowardice act as 9/11, however, it was a *military* target.

A better analogy, imo, would be building a memorial to nazi soldiers near Auschwitz.

The islamic ideology is every bit as evil and horrendous as the nazi ideology, and the victims of both Auschwitz and WTC were innocent civilians unjustly targeted for extermination.

Perhaps Richard Land was seeking an American equivalent, which is certainly forgivable.

He could not resist the line that the wartime internment of Japanese was "shameful".

Indeed. The heart-addled mind that cannot help indulging this spasm of "shame" is the same mind that remains obtusely retarded with regard to waking up to the danger of Islam itself, and of all the Muslims who are enabling Islam.

But Richard Land's spasm is by no means rare: it is, in fact, the norm, among Conservatives and Liberals alike. I wouldn't be surprised if perhaps a slim majority even of Jihad Watchers shared it.

Although the Supreme Court of the United States did not rule internment un-Constitutional then -- and has never ruled it so since -- the Higher Court of Political Correctness has, in fact, ruled it as "shameful" and cast a pall of Holocaustish "Never Again" over it, and over all thoughts and actions which might start slipping down that slippery slope.

"This whole conversation regarding being able to "identify" Moslem infiltrators ..."

It's complicated significantly by the fact that there exist numerous Westerners (if they are not the majority throughout the West) who defend Islam and castigate their own West. So when I see a fairufzan I know he could very easily be a Westerner -- even a Catholic. After being nauseated time and time again over the years by hearing or reading all manner of Westerners -- Conservatives, Christians, Jews, Liberals, Atheists, you name it -- spout the PC MC line, I remain unsurprised anymore.

Thus, Islam is not protected under the first amendment of the constitution because it is a religion of submission that forbids the freedom of conscience and also because it is a very radical form of totalitarianism that seeks world domination, and therefore it should be outlawed because the constitution isn’t a suicide pact.

Totally right, Islam is NOT a faith-based religion like others, it is an enslaving submission-based ideology. The fact that leaving Islam invokes the death penalty is proof it is a Cult. No to Sharia. And NO to Ground Zero mosque.

Are you sure? Are they enlightened about Islam or are they enlightened that the are being "scooped" by other sources, thus losing their sphere of influence?

Robert Spencer has provided ample evidence here on this site to support his argument of the alignment of the liberal left and Islam. Where is your supporting evidence outside the existence of this article?

You sure have a lot of opinions of what Robert Spencer should be doing, don't you?

"Let us stand together in this struggle. Anyone who values universal human rights and democratic rule should be part of the Ummmat al kuffar."

Agreed, but I prefer "United Democratic Nations".

Thanks, Podcast: good points. I have saved what you wrote and will use it when I write to politicians - if you don't mind!
