Robert, you and Pamela Geller deserve a huge round of applause for taking this on.
There is so much said in the eight little words of that sign, plus the three in the url,LeaveIslamSafely.com. Any intelligent person, even with no previous knowledge of Islam, reading that sign, would begin to wonder about it.
Some 90% of honor killings which occur take place in the Islamic world. Thus the reason for this sign. Thus the reason for holding Islam responsible.
And, Muslims, don't delude yourselves into thinking that the connection isn't being made between this horror and Islam by more and more millions throughout the world with each passing year. The lame cultural excuse for these killings is wearing very thin. It's Islam which is the culprit, along with its decrepit founder. The tide is turning.
I wonder how many Muslim cabbies have one of these signs on their cabs.

There wasn't a single Muslim honor killing in my Muslim country last year (though a few Hindus did,) and our murder rate is about 1/4 that of the United States. Maybe you could learn something from violent, thuggish Islam.
I hope you don't mind me jumping in here guys. I've been away from you all for a long time because I've been involved with lots of resistance work here in Blighty. I'm very involved with the English Defence League, what a bunch of heroes, they're my friends and fellow travellers.
Anyway, tonight my local newspaper ran a big campaign to stop our August 28 march in Bradford, West Yorkshire. They say if we march it will cause riots and they call us all the usual clueless names, you know, we're all racist fascist haters etc. They've got a petition up against us, which is fairly normal, we usually get a barrage of hate before a march and then an even bigger barrage of hate during the march, but we just "keep calm and carry on", as they say. Anyway, I couldn't resist writing to the paper and giving them both barrels this time. For anyone who might want to read it, here's what I've sent:
Dear Sir/Madam
The English Defence League is a grassroots patriotic movement. We believe in constitutional monarchy and parliamentary democracy. We stand for freedom of thought, freedom of speech and conscience, and equal rights of all before the law, regardless of gender or faith. We stand in defence of the traditional rights, freedoms and customs of Western civilisation, and our hand is extended to all men and women of good faith, regardless of racial or ethnic background or sexual orientation.
Our commitment to these basic principles automatically brings us into opposition with any ideology which denies democracy, equality and freedom of thought and speech, such as Fascism, Communism and Islam.
Islam is not a spiritually based religion like Christianity, Judaism or Buddhism. As a religion Islam is unique in that it contains within itself large blocks of political thought, much of which is totalitarian, supremacist and aggressively hostile to non-Muslims. Shariah law, the Islamic law code, which is integral to the Islamic religion, stands in clear opposition to democracy, freedom and the equal rights of non-Muslims, women and gay people before the law. As men and women who stand in defence of tolerance and Western principles, we have no choice but to oppose the spread of such oppression, and before anyone tries to point out that we should therefore be tolerant of Islam may I state clearly that we have no obligation to be tolerant of that which is intolerant of us.
The attempt by Paul Meszaros to characterise the EDL as a "fascist group" is an indication of typical left-wing intellectual laziness. Unwilling or unable to comprehend the true nature and aspirations of those groups they decide to oppose, they simply brand them "racist" or "fascist" and hope everyone will accept, and collude with, their faulty judgement. Before these people drag out the usual name-calling to demean anyone with whom they disagree they should ask themselves a few questions: How can the EDL be fascists when they have a Jewish division? How can they be racists when they have black and Asian members? How can they be bigots when they have a gay division? That does not sound like hate-mongering to me, it sounds like a conspiracy of hope.
I have lived in and around Bradford for my entire life and no-one wants a return to the riots, but we should remember that it was young Muslims, not the EDL, who did the rioting. The rioters were criminal law-breakers, no matter which section of the community they came from. The police and courts dealt very effectively with them. To suggest that an EDL march would spark another Muslim riot is little more than either an indication of your cowardice or a transparently bullying tactic designed to intimidate your readership into colluding with your defective views on what constitutes social cohesion. Your idea of social cohesion seems to be the avoidance, at any and all cost, of saying or doing anything which might offend Muslims. Do not annoy them, or they will riot. This is in itself a form of bigotry, because you are holding them to a lower standard of behaviour than that expected from the rest of our society. Instead of pandering to any implicit threat from the Muslim community you should be helping them by pointing out that living in a free society requires a mature tolerance of opinions with which you disagree, and that freedom of speech is sacrosanct, while rioting is illegal and will be dealt with accordingly by the police.
Your editorial policy is actively working against the integration of Muslims into British society and preventing Muslims from engaging with the fundamental principles upon which our civilisation is based. However, despite the damage you are inflicting, we the English Defence League will continue to march, and gather members and speak the truth with a growing voice wherever, whenever and however we can.

Unfortunately, the reality of the situation is that it is extremely hard for Muslims to get over their fears of Islamic hell fire.
And for much of the Muslim population, especially those born into the religion, it can be an exceptionally hard task to physically leave the religion free and clear. Image your family being Muslim and most of your social contacts as well.

Islam does not even qualify to be called “a religion”. Islam should simply be known as the cult of Muhammad. For historically what other major religious figure has demanded that those who leave their given religions be put to death? The answer to this question is that no other major religious figure demands such evil. Only Muhammad has demanded that his followers that leave the religion should be murdered in cold blood.

I'm sure you've already thought of this, but: in view of what I heard around the ridges about the attacks you sustained from Muslims during and after the last Event: 1. every person who attends your rallies should have done some self-defence training if they haven't already (this would not apply to the 'blokes', bless 'em, but it *will* apply to the more intellectual and normally-sedentary folks who've come to swell the ranks - some among your Jewish Brigade and LGBT Brigade, for example, might need a bit of Basic Training from the 'Blokes' or from the Veterans); 2. everyone should make sure they've done a basic first aid course and be carrying a mini first aid pack (like cyclists and hikers carry); 3. please, everybody, wear something on your head and torso that will cushion/ deflect blows from bricks, knives, etc. 4. Only take women along if they've done a self-defence course and are reasonably fit.
Maybe even more important than self-defense training is for plenty of people to bring video cameras so there is a full record to prevent enemies of EDL from lying about what goes on and who is responsible.
If the Christian group "Acts 17" had not brought several video cameras with them to the Dearborn Arab festival, Acts 17 would have legal headaches and worries right now. Instead, because Acts 17 videotaped everything, certain Dearborn police officers and the Dearborn mayor have legal headaches coming and lots of bad publicity, because it seems the videotapes show that those officers and the mayor have lied repeatedly about what Acts 17 did. The Thomas More Law Center, which is defending Acts 17 against the false charges brought by the Dearborn police, intends after defeating the charges to bring some kind of civil action against the Dearborn police for depriving members of Acts 17 of basic constitutional rights.

EP clinic offers to treat man ‘possessed’ by jinn

MAKKAH: A clinic in the Eastern Province that provides treatment to people possessed by jinns has volunteered to help Turki, a 29-year-old Saudi from Makkah who according to his father is possessed by a female jinn and has, as a result, been chained to a bed for more than six years.
“I’ve spoken to the center and they’ve offered to help my son. They will provide accommodation, food and air tickets for him, his wife, me and his mother who is my ex-wife,” said Turki’s father.
He, however, added that traveling to the Eastern Province is going to be difficult. “If we try to unchain him, he will become violent. Every limb in his body will undergo a radical change and we won’t be able to put him on the plane,” he said.
The father said he has taken Turki to see medical doctors and psychiatrists who have all been unable to diagnose his illness or treat him. “We’ve visited many doctors and none have been able to do anything. They simply gave him sedatives which aren’t useful and that’s why I started taking him to see religious sheikhs, who’ve also been unable to do much,” he said.
He added that all of the sheikhs who have seen Turki are unanimous that he is possessed by a female jinn who refuses to leave him. “She’s supposedly very powerful and said she is of royal stock and will not leave Turki until he dies,” he said.
Muhammad Al-Suhaili, professor of Shariah at Umm Al-Qura University in Makkah, confirmed that Turki has been possessed by a female jinn who talked to him and refused to leave him.
The father appealed to the authorities to treat his son in Makkah and to provide financial assistance to his family which is extremely poor.

Yes, hello again! And dda thanks for your prayers, they are much appreciated as always.
The media here in the UK is giving us a rough ride, as usual. My letter was in response to the local paper, the Telegraph and Argus, mounting a petition to ban the march and running the front page headline "WE DON'T WANT THIS HERE" next to a picture of a previous EDL march. Somewhat ironically, the picture shows a perfectly peaceful EDL crowd, some smiling into the camera and many carrying the flags of our allied nations. Is that what they don't want here, peace, unity, patriotism and international solidarity?
They also ran a huge op-ed piece condemning the EDL, loaded with the usual lies and distortions we all know so well, and they even printed a little anti-EDL cut-out coupon that readers could sign and send in. Lovely.
As far as first-aiding and self-defence goes, we have qualified first-aiders at every rally, as well as team leaders and stewards in high-vis jackets, so it's all quite well organised. Self-defence is down to the individual of course. We try to avoid physical confrontations with the lefties and violent Muslims who always try to provoke trouble and there's always someone there filming events as they happen, so we can avoid the bother in Dearborn that traeh mentioned. Pictures and video are often loaded directly from the event onto the EDL website. I've spent a lot of my life involved in combat sports, so I have no worries personally, but I've never been involved in any trouble at an EDL event. Of course, I would say that, wouldn't I? No! Really, it's true!
When faced with spitting, shouting and threats from the opposition I just smile at them and wave and flash a Churchill 'V for victory' sign. For some reason this seems to particularly enrage them, they often go purple with apoplexy!
Some of us wear baseball caps or hats against the opposition stone-throwers, but we just wear our everyday clothes and trust to luck that the stoners can't aim for toffee. Nevertheless, there's no shortage of young lads in the EDL, and many of them are pretty handy in a tight corner. They're not backwards in coming forwards, as my old Mum used to say, so everyone feels quite safe, but for safety's sake we always go everywhere in groups, as many as possible, never as few as two or three, because there are often bands of armed Muslims roaming the streets, hoping to ambush us. The various divisions and regional groups within the EDL tend to pal around together, but there's always a real spirit of fellowship at an event and everyone just mixes in and talks to anyone around, which is very cool indeed.

You have come up with real good names for the "country" this YK lives. I think his country is the country Muslims call the land of pure (Pakistan, some call it Porkistan) where on a regular basis Muslims kidnap Hindu and Christian girls, rape them, convert them and may be marry them some times. What a weird concept of pure, and good these Muslims have. In fact their definition of good and evil is exactly opposite to that of normal human beings. Everything evil in our world is good in Islam and everything good and moral in our world is evil in Islam. And then, in the next phase, he also can't compete, let alone win, with people who know that at least part of Islam's laws, goals, values are at variance with Democratic ones, either. And not in holding the position that what Robert Spencer tells us about that is untrue.
The only course he can take to compete a bit more equally, is to compare the merits and disadvantages of Theocracy versus Democracy. If he were honest enough to declare that he preferred Theocracy, with Divine laws, over Democracy, with manmade laws. Because that might be a question of what a person considers the highest priorities in societies.
But Robert Spencer it seems to me exposes the false pretense that Muslims mean and cause no harm to democratic nations and their laws and interests. Why don't the Muslims admit that that is exacly what a very substantial part of them actually does mean and cause. Precisely because they DO prefer divine laws and theocracy over manmade laws and democracy. Which in itself is a respectable, defensible position, but which would lose them a lot of support from "fair-minded", "neutral", ignorant citizens of Democratic countries, who, with respect, would surely reject Theocracy.
And moreover Robert, it seems to me, exposes the intention and occurrence of many Muslims to use violence, deceit, propaganda and censorship to achieve victory, if deemed necessary, instead of just democratic means.

I was doing something analogous to this in Australia years ago. The project was helped along by providing a toll-free number. One doesn't often see veiled Muslim women sitting down at a computer station at an internet cafe or library.

I don't think that the New York rally will encounter the level of provocation or of post-rally assault by Muslims upon the departing rally participants, that the EDL has been encountering; not this time around; but if momentum continues to gather in the USA and the Muslim colonies there start to realize that a *lot* of Americans are waking up and getting serious about impeding the march of Islam, there may be a 'ratcheting up' of Muslim aggression and provocation. If the American protesters have spent some time studying the experiences of the EDL, and learning from them, that will stand them in good stead as and when the American Muslim population starts dropping the smiling mask.

Taking murder statistics from a country like Pakistan in 2010 would be comparable to trusting the murder statistics gathered by the whites in the Deep South in 1840 (or 1880) of the U.S.A. for publication in the North. Only a fool would believe that no blacks were lynched. It's reasonable to suppose that the situation for non-Muslims in various parts of Pakistan is far worse than it was for blacks in the 1840s South. The only reason that local and federal police in Pakistan even bother at all to show even token superficial forms of justice for non-Muslims now and then there is because Pakistan is not quite Paki ("Pure") yet -- and the reasons for this has everything to do with various forms of Western influence and nothing to do with any good or enlightened intent on the part of Muslims.
The only way to determine the accurate statistics of a society like Pakistan would be to somehow install a million hidden cameras throughout the country -- which, of course, is not feasible. Better yet, we should just prejudicially assume the country is an internationally dangerous hell-hole, and figure out ways to modify our policy toward it, and its people, accordingly. (The same goes, of course, for all Muslim countries.)
