If people are so against this mosque being built, why is that place so empty?
Because the bought and paid for commission moved it on short notice twice.
Are you aware that in a recent poll an overwhelming majority (52% vs 31%) oppose the building of this mosque?
But our democracy is being undermined by the traitorous liberals who-for god knows what reason-are very eager to help you establish your evil death cult's rule in America and live as your slaves/dhimmis.
And as Lorem mentioned they shifted the meeting place so no one would show up to voice their opposition to its construction. I'm atheist but a part of me really wishes there was a hell so that such people could suffer for their treachery.
Look at all those empty seats (and how many of them are just reporters anyway?). Wow, if that isn't proof of the prevalence of PC MC among ordinary people, I don't know what is.

How many times must you hear the same thing...No Mosque.. Are the Muslims that thick headed that they have to hear it so many times before they understand...Seriously are they that ignorant ?? Cordoba house will it be used to teach islamic reform ?? Not very likely, They say many religons will come together..but the doors will close to non muslims..Many people are wise to the schemes of Islam..The world is opening its eyes and is seeing how Ignorant the muslim population is.

Or the landing gear that damaged 45 Park Place. Or the remains of victims found nearby. No shame. No sensitivity. They want us to forget--like it never happened--like MUSLIMS didn't do it--but Robert and others were having none of that! Bravo / Brava to all, courageous and well-done!
And, BTW, the only "islamic empire" I'm aware of is hell...

That is, "Why do religious & political liberals seem to support this wicked religion?"
I truly believe that because both of these groups have rejected the truth of Scripture, the True God is judging our nation.
We have forbidden the reading of Scripture in our classrooms, we oppose prayer in the name of Christ at any public event, we have adopted abortion as a legitimate way to handle unwanted pregnancy, we are continually drifting toward public acceptance of homosexuality, we accept sexual relations without marriage .... the list could go on. All of this things 50 years ago would have been rejected without discussion. Were our grandparents completely wrong about everything?
Although it is very un-PC to say it, this nation has turned from the One True God (not the one Muslims worship) and we are being judged because of it. We love wealth more than we ever loved God.
It is axiomatic that muslims BELIEVE they are at WAR with ALL nonbelievers. The danger is becoming desensitized to the rhetoric. Confrontation partly resides in, first demanding the laws on the books, local, state and federal, be enforced.
Am I crazy or does the notion of a Ground Zero Mosque rank right up there with another "sharp poke in the eye" Mosque located on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

The panel tried to officially limit the scope to architectural significance and tried to ignore the whole 9/11-related issue (e.g. as a war memorial) and thus missed the point. I'm sure they were also forbidden to mention the "J" word (jihad). They also did not clearly say where to email them, what their fax number is, etc. If their decision excludes any mention of the 9/11 issues, maybe the American Center for Law & Justice (or other organizations) can appeal the decision.
My support and sympathies to the people of NY. It seems to me that given the events of 9/11 they have a stronger case than we did in opposing the mega mosque in the UK or even the mosque proposal in Dudley. It seems open and shut to me. but it also seems sadly that its a done deal and your liberal, progressive politicians are going through the motions. Whats next? the NYPD protecting a construction site being sabotaged and under attack from its own citizens? If the proposal raises this kind of protest how much more civil unrest will actual construction work generate?
We too have had and are continuing to get our share of this kind of stealth jihad. But don't confuse what our politicians say with the feelings of the British public. The greater the impact of shariah on the ordinary people the louder the protest gets. I can't help but agree with Daniel Pipes that the future here holds a great deal of violence and civil unrest both here and in France which could be avoided if our political elites upheld our laws and values.
There is much about the US I don't like, and much I do like but we share a common sense of morality and justice and I can say that in this particular struggle our common peoples are united. To the people of NY I would say -Don't give up the fight.
