First, Bill thanks for attending, 555 you too - nice to finally meet you, Bay People, what a group you are, I know you will win your battle too - so nice to see you again. Ilya from www.citizensmagazine was there and I'm sure will do a fantastic job of reporting on the event as usual - very nice to meet you too. So proud to see Staten Island and Brooklyn so well represented.The press was present, but not to the degree expected. As many of us as possible gave interviews - they make me nervous but it has to be done. Pamela Geller is on Hannity tonight along with Andrew McCarthy, repeats at midnight - try to tape it, it's a good discussion on ground zero and the jihad threat against all Americans. [It was last night; you can watch it here.]
Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller were at the top of their game, as usual. They are so good at speaking for a limited amount of time and getting everything they want to say said.
I tried to yield some of my time to them when I spoke so they could explain to everyone the differences in Imam Rauf's book as published for Americans and the version that's far more sinister and published under the same title for Muslims in Arabic. The Chairwoman wasn't going to let me have the full 2 minutes I should have had to speak. I did submit the 5 page statement outlining all of the reasons to landmark and stating that all testimony about building the mosque must be disregarded as irrelevant - and I submitted the copy of the request for a 9/11 historic district to be created that would include the Burlington Building. While it was accepted, they vote tonight, I doubt it will make a bit of difference.
John Press, the leader of the Brooklyn Tea Party spoke and did a fantastic job too.
Brett Joshpe, an attorney who along with Jay Sekulow of the American Center for Law & Justice are representing a 9/11 fireman, (and a group of others) in the fight to stop the mosque at ground zero. He had the crowd cheering too. Check out his website www.brettjoshpe.com and the ACLJ - http://www.aclj.org - both are extremely good.
So many people were there on our side. It was more than obvious though that the Community Board was not on our side - in fact I was told by 2 women on the Board that they want the mosque. So much for objectivity and doing what they know the community wants, what the majority of New Yorkers want and what the majority of Americans across the country wants - they've heard from people from all over America who are against this mosque.
While the focus should have been the building, it was the damn mosque.
Gamal, the owner, was there and after introducing himself he said he was there as a resource. No one was interested in him - he saw the anger New Yorkers voiced and couldn't care less. I couldn't help staring him down and didn't let up until he bowed his head.
Maybe 3 people spoke in favor of the mosque - all of them were shouted down until they left the microphone.
Every speaker on our side did well.
I have to tell you what I was told. It's more than likely that the Landmark Committee will vote against landmark status for the building. The next step in the process after the vote is to submit the Committee's recommendations to the Landmarks Preservation Commission - which usually does what the Committee recommends.
Those who know far more than I do told me that it's believed that Obama let Bloomberg know he wants the mosque and Bloomberg, being the fame and power hungry person that he is (remember he wanted the vice presidential spot on Obama's ticket & didn't get it) is doing what Obama wants. Also explains why Schumer, Gillibrand and Mahoney aren't saying a word. So the expectation is that we will lose this battle at this level - but - The ACLJ is ready to take them to court over this, and they believe they should win. Give these guys as much support as possible.
After they cut off speakers and turned to their normal business we started to leave. We went back into the room when we heard they were discussing the original landmark vote that took place. Believe it or not, members of the board were questioning the panel (the Board's leadership) as to how they arrived at the vote against landmark status. They were going over the points in the resolution and insisting on answers. A good sign, but....
We had to leave, we'll know in the morning how this turned out. While I was encouraged by the questioning, I could tell by the look on this panel's faces when we spoke and how they cut off our side that this panel would need a gun held to their heads in order to vote for preservation.
I hope I'm wrong.
Tomorrow I'll contact some of the people I've listed above and see how we can help each other. Meantime, pass this along to everyone possible. And remember,

Islam isn’t a religion. Read the Quran, the hadith collections of Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, the biography of Muhammad by Ibn Ishaq, and you’ll realize this to be the case.
It’s not a religion because Muhammad was supposedly God’s “last, true prophet”, yet he had apostates killed. That doesn’t make sense. A true “man of God” would bring a man back through love, not murder him for leaving the religion. That’s what a cult leader does.
It’s also not a religion because the Quran says Muhammad is “a beautiful pattern of conduct”, but when you look at his life you see that Muhammad had sex with a child, owned slaves, bought and sold slaves, had poets killed for criticizing him, slaughtered unarmed people, beat his own wife, and in general, was a terrible, worthless human being.

As I've argued many times before, this is not the right strategy to invoke. Islam is definitely a religion (it certainly is pursuant to First Amendment guidelines under the American Constitution). Difference is that, unlike any other major faith, it is wicked. After all, where is it written that a religion can't be evil? Islam's a religion all right, but a deeply malevolent one. And this is what should be emphasized, not the notion that Islam doesn't qualify as a religion. Pursuing your approach is a guaranteed legal dead end.
What I meant is that we must discredit it in the eyes of the American public.
For example, here's a good approach:
I attend a mosque debate. At the end, they have an open question and answer session.
I step to the microphone.
First, I have the Imam confirm that the Quran is God's eternal, unchangeable word, that Muhammad is "a beautiful pattern of conduct", and the "standard for all humanity", and that the Quran and Muhammad's example are every bit as valid in the 21st century, 50th century as they were in the 7th century.
These are all common elements of Islamic theology, so the Imam will confirm.
Once that's established, start hammering away.
For this example, we'll present Quran 4:34 and Sahih Muslim book 4 Number 2127 (the ones on wife-beating).
Read them, then say, "Since you earlier confirmed that the Quran and Muhammad's example are eternal and unchangeable, you must certainly believe that in the year 2010, it's morally acceptable for a man to beat his wife, correct?"
There's no way out for him at this point. He's already confirmed that the Quran is eternal.
So he admits that in the year 2010, it's morally acceptable for men to physically assault their wives.
If he does this, a Western audience is not going to be happy about having this man build a huge mosque in their community.
And of course, the issue of wife-beating is just the tip of the iceberg. You could then press the issue of sex with children, the testimony of a woman being less valuable than the testimony of a man, slavery, polygamy.
If enough Americans attend these mosque debates, Islam outreach events, call in to TV/radio shows and use them, Islam will be discredited, no new mosques will be developed, public opinion will turn against Islam, etc.

Build the mosque, trash states rights, and the AZ immigration law; the blowback will be enormous. Things have a way of over-correcting themselves in the U.S. Hopefully that will mean no Democrats holding majorities anywhere for >100 years.

In addition, the blue-eyed devil espoused that it was not really a mosque, but rather an inter-faith cultural center.

The small and, intentionally musty "meditation room" would certainly discourage non-Muuslim prayer. Last I checked, non-muslims were and are not permitted to pray in a mosque. In fact, they are not even allowed to be admitted. Am I wrong?
The mosque, which currently oprerates as such under a Temporary Place of Assembly permit as we speak, for Friday prayers, has been issued, and continues to be issued, under the approval of the NYC Department of Buildings, and since the adjoining property is deemed unoccupiable due to safety concerns, the NYC Fire Department, which is complicit as well. This, coupled with Mayor Bloomberg's continued false mantra of religious freedom, allows this to continue.
Robert LiMandri is the Commissioner of Buildings...not an architect...but rather a political appointee of future presidential candidate, and unmoved billionaire, Mike Bloomberg. They should be made to answer for this.
This disgrace should not be allowed to continue.

NYC Community Board members are appointed by Borough Presidents. From nycdotgov:
"BOARD COMPOSITION AND MEMBERSHIP
The 1975 City Charter revisions allocated greater responsibility to Community Boards, especially in relation to municipal service delivery, the City budget, and land use, and the 1989 Charter revisions affirmed their role in those processes. Below is an overview of the structure as defined in Chapter 70 of the revised Charter.
Membership - There is one Community Board for each of the City's 59 Community Districts. Each has up to 50 voting members who serve for staggered terms of two years; one half of the membership is appointed each year. Members of the Community Boards serve without compensation but may be reimbursed for actual, necessary out of pocket expenses in connection with attendance at regularly scheduled meetings.
Eligibility - Members must be New York City residents who live in or have a business, professional or other significant interest in the district. No more than 25 percent of the members may be City employees.
Appointments - The Borough President appoints the Community Board members. Grouping ALL "Muslims" together and then singling out "Americans" for the other group isn't as valid as comparing "Muslims" and "Non-Muslims." In the latter comparison, with the constant killing of non-Muslims in Pakistan, Egypt, Lebanon, North Africa, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, and everywhere else Islam is present, Muslims are killing far more than they are being killed.
Besides, most of the deaths America is blamed for in Iraq and Afghanistan are actually caused by fellow Muslims.
I believe the leftwing site iraqbodycount.com's own documentation of civilian casualties in Iraq, if you take the trouble to look at the detail, not highlighted by the site, shows that literally over 99% of civilian casualties were caused by Islamic insurgents -- Muslims blowing up bombs in mosques, in crowds, kidnapping civilians, Shia killing Sunni, Sunni killing Shia, etc.
As for non-civilian casualties, i.e., combatant deaths in Iraq, the U.S. military has certainly killed a lot of enemy combatants. A tragedy made unavoidable by the fanaticism of Islam.

Various other canonical hadiths attest that Muhammad called for death to those who leave Islam. That's why even today all the schools of Islamic law prescribe death for apostasy from Islam.

IN CANONICAL HADITH, MUHAMMAD REPEATEDLY ORDERS STONING
In the Qur'an "Allah" says at least twenty-five times that Muhammad is to be obeyed; that is one reason why the vast majority of Muslims accept the hadith collections that Muslim scholars consider authoritative: those hadiths show what Muhammad did and said, and what he permitted and forbade.

They replied, "Our priests have innovated the punishment of blackening the faces with charcoal and Tajbiya." 'Abdullah bin Salam said, "O Allah's Apostle, tell them to bring the Torah." The Torah was brought, and then one of the Jews put his hand over the Divine Verse of the Rajam (stoning to death) and started reading what preceded and what followed it. On that, Ibn Salam said to the Jew, "Lift up your hand." Behold! The Divine Verse of the Rajam was under his hand. So Allah's Apostle [Muhammad] ordered that the two (sinners) be stoned to death, and so they were stoned. Ibn 'Umar added: So both of them were stoned at the Balat and I saw the Jew sheltering the Jewess.

When Ma'iz bin Malik came to the Prophet (in order to confess), the Prophet said to him, "Probably you have only kissed (the lady), or winked, or looked at her?" He said, "No, O Allah's Apostle!" The Prophet said, using no euphemism, "Did you have sexual intercourse with her?" The narrator added: At that, (i.e. after his confession) the Prophet [Muhammad] ordered that he be stoned (to death).

While we were with the Prophet [Muhammad], a man stood up and said (to the Prophet), "I beseech you by Allah, that you should judge us according to Allah's Laws." [excerpt from long hadith]...Allah sent Muhammad with the Truth and revealed the Holy Book to him, and among what Allah revealed, was the Verse of the Rajam (the stoning of married person (male & female) who commits illegal sexual intercourse, and we did recite this Verse and understood and memorized it. Allah's Apostle [Muhammad] did carry out the punishment of stoning and so did we after him. I am afraid that after a long time has passed, somebody will say, 'By Allah, we do not find the Verse of the Rajam in Allah's Book,' and thus they will go astray by leaving an obligation which Allah has revealed. And the punishment of the Rajam is to be inflicted to any married person (male & female), who commits illegal sexual intercourse, if the required evidence is available or there is conception or confession...

If Feisal Abdul Rauf's monument to Islamist arrogance and dhimmi submission is going to get approved, I suggest that we all band together and BOYCOTT everyone and anyone (and their business interests) associated with the planning, financing and construction of this project. Furthermore, I suggest that the boycott be conducted in the most high-profile manner possible and as soon as possible. A public message needs to be sent to all the entities associated with this project that there is going to be a financial and PR price to pay for their actions, and that message needs to be sent NOW.
A few introductory targets:
- Everyone associated with the Cordoba Project, and that includes donors
- All of the officials (and their business interests), from the Mayor of New York City to the members of the Community Board who have expressed their support for this project
- The architects, developers and construction companies involved in the destruction of he existing structure and construction of the new structure
- All of the financiers (and their business interests) contributing to the construction of this project
Certainly, there will be others who will deserve boycotting, but that's just a short list for starters.
If this is a done deal, it's time to start taking names, looking into their business interests and start dishing out some payback. These clowns don't care what you think - hit them where it hurts: in the wallet and the court of public opinion.

Well done as usual, Pam and Robert! I agree with what Pam said about how all New Yorkers were targeted on 9/11 and how we just happened to have not been in the Twin Tower tragedy. I know that my friend and I were close enough to downtown NYC that morning to be scared out of our minds, and we could have easily had been victims too.
