Please join SIOA and FDI in our solemn protest against the 9/11 mega-mosque at Ground Zero on September 11. It will be held in the afternoon, after the memorial services -- the exact time and date are to be determined and will be announced here.
World leaders, prominent politicians and 911 family members will be speaking.
This is a solemn protest. Please do not bring any inflammatory signs. "Ground Zero is sacred ground." "Ground Zero is a war Memorial." "Ground Zero Mosque is Radically Insensitive."
We will begin with interfaith prayer and the playing of "Taps" for the 911 victims.
Please mark your calenders. Come to New York City on September 11. If you believe that the construction of this Islamic supremacist mega-mosque at Ground Zero is an insult to those Americans who lost their lives in the largest attack on American soil in history, now is the time to make your voice heard.
After the SIOA/FDI rally against the mega-mosque, you may wish to head to Washington for the 912 rally. Those who looking for rides to the protest or from the Ground Zero protest to the 912 rally in DC on Sunday can connect here. You can easily catch the train to Washington from Penn Station in New York.
Also, if you are in Manhattan tomorrow evening, please come to the next Community Board 1 meeting concerning the Ground Zero mosque site, at 6:00 PM at Dance New Amsterdam, 280 Broadway, 2nd Floor (entrance on Chambers and Elk Streets). We need to be there.
In the run up to 911 could bloggers please also remember and commemorate the atrocity that the MSM tried to cover up as having nothing to do with Islam - the Beslan child-rape orgy ending in a bloody massacre of the innocents: http://crombouke.blogspot.com/2010/01/beslan-child-rape-torture-enforced.html
I believe something other than Taps should be played at the event. The dirge is meant to honor military dead, and often police and firefighters, but I think it's more appropriate to play something that shows our commitment to fight this enemy using all means at our disposal and until we win. The 9-11 dead are not honored, their memories not sanctified, by what we feel as that somber tune is played. We honor them by what we DO to keep their killers from killing again. There should be a cavalry charge sounded, not Taps.
And, as for Beslan, we need to do more than just remember that savagery, we must act against the men and women intent on killing our children the same way. And they are already here.

With respect, I would like to hear an air-raid siren sounding to symbolize the fact that the attack was an act of war and that planes were used. This point could be made over and over again when reporters ask why an air-raid siren was used. "Jihad attack - Islam is at war with the non-Muslim world - Jihad attack - Islam is at war with the non-Muslim world"
Just keep repeating it. Create the imagery of a country defending itself against attacks by Islam.
I cannot be there however my heart will be!
"WHY THERE?"
Because the Muzlims want to proclaim their victory over Lower Manhattan. End of story.
"Why There?".......a very powerful message. Is there a possibility of flyers or bumper stickers being made available?

OT
but it looks like Canada won't have to import Turkish police for future sharia colonies.
I posted this link earlier in the Atlas Shrugs site. I highly respect Mr Josephson but I think he is not well informed. Needless to say interesting comments ....

I think they should be allowed to build this mosque.-
JUST AS SOON AS THERE ARE SYNAGOGUES AND CATHEDRALS OPENED IN MECCA, MEDINA, JIDDAH, RYAHD, S'ANAA, etc.
Is there a postal address for SIOA?
That way, persons from other countries - or from interstate - who oppose the mosque and would like to be there, but cannot, could send to Mr Spencer a little flag representing their state or home country, and a short letter addressed to Mayor Bloomberg, stating their total opposition to the mosque. The flags - perhaps pinned to a plain banner or banners (depending how many you get) quilt-fashion, could be displayed on the day, thus colourfully and visually representing all those people from across the USA and, indeed, across the world, who grieve for the dead of 9/11, support the protest, and oppose the mosque; the letters could be gathered together and delivered to Mayor Bloomberg all at once, by the wheelbarrow-load/ trolley-load/ truckload.
I think it would be a pretty powerful statement if you ended up with banner after banner all covered with little state flags and national flags, each one of them representing a person.
For safety reasons, there should be no SIOA mailing address posted. Even PO boxes are easy to recon and once someone shows up to get the mail, poof, the bad-guys have acquired their target.
I couldn't make it to the meeting tonight in Manhattan but here is what I would like to have said to the dhimmis in NYC:
"When I first heard about this proposal, my initial reaction was: "You can't be serious. Nobody in their right mind would tolerate such Chutzpah! What's next? Are the Japanese going to ask to build a Shinto shrine next to Pearl Harbor?" But they are serious.
The great American philosopher, George Santayana warned us that: 'Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.'
Let us, therefore, remember the past; the story of the ancient city of Troy. After an unsuccessful 10 year siege, the Greeks came up with the idea of building a great wooden horse (the horse being the emblem of Troy), hiding a select force inside, and fooling the Trojans into wheeling the horse into the city as a trophy. The plan called for one soldier, named Sinon, to remain outside the Horse to convince the Trojans to take the Horse in. Sinon told the Trojans that the Horse was an offering to the goddess Athena, meant to atone for the previous desecration of Athena's temple at Troy by the Greeks. While questioning Sinon, the Trojan priest Laocoön guessed the plot and warned the Trojans, in Virgil's famous line "Timeo Danaos et dona ferentes." (I fear Greeks even those bearing gifts). King Priam's daughter Cassandra, the soothsayer of Troy, also insisted that the horse would be the downfall of the city and its royal family. She too was ignored, and we all know the end of that story.
That, my fellow Americans, was the past.
What about the present? Today, the jihadists have come up with the idea of building a 13+ storey Trojan Horse mosque, with a secret hidden agenda inside, and of fooling New Yorkers into letting them build their Trojan Horse mosque, not in mid-town, not in the Upper East or West Side, but specifically on the sacred ground of Ground Zero.
Today's Sinon is Imam Rauf. Like Sinon, Imam Rauf and his wife are tasked with trying to convince you Trojans (excuse me, New Yorkers) that this Trojan Horse mosque is an offering by Muslims to the people of New York, meant "as a gesture of peace" in honor of the previous desecration of the World Trade Center by jihadists and to foster peaceful relations with the jihadists. So far, they've been succeeding only too well.
Like the Trojan priest, Laocoon, the prominent American human rights activist and scholar of Islam, Robert Spencer, has guessed the plot and like Laocoon has warned New Yorkers to fear Jihadis bearing gifts. So far, most of you have refused to heed his warning.
Just like King Priam's daughter, Cassandra, the soothsayer of Troy, New York's Pamela Geller, has warned you of the hidden agenda, that this particular Trojan Horse mosque situated in this particular location, just like the mosque built directly over the remains of Solomon's Temple on Temple Mount in Jerusalem (sacred to Jews), or the the Hagia Sofia in Istanbul converted into a mosque from an Orthodox basilica (sacred to Christians) and, not to be forgotten, the Great Mosque at Cordoba which was specifically built over the ruins of a Christian church dedicated to Saint Vincent, the proposed mega-Trojan Horse mosque at Ground Zero is intended as a symbol for all time of the jihadist triumph and conquest over us on 9/11 by destroying the World Trade Center, the foremost symbols of American economic power; an Islamic victory in its battle for supremacy against the Christians and the Jews. And, like Cassandra, you have failed to heed her warning.
As the former chairman of the Counsel on American Islamic Relations, Omar Ahmad, stated in 1998: "Islam is not in America to be equal to any other religion but to be dominant." That is the true belief of those behind this Trojan Horse mosque at Ground Zero. That is precisely WHY it is being proposed at Ground Zero and not in mid-town or the Upper East Side. It is BECAUSE a piece of one of the planes fell through the building that they want it, not in spite of it. Any building not connected with the atrocities of 9/11 would NOT suit their purposes as the triumphalist symbolism would be lost.
The mere fact that the idea of building a Trojan Horse mosque at Ground Zero is even up for debate when the Greek Orthodox Church has been stymied for 9 years in its attempts to rebuild should be a wakeup call to all of you about how much political correctness and moral relativism have crippled our capacity for rational thought.
Come on, people. Wake up. You're New Yorkers. You are supposed to catch on to a scam faster than anybody else. Ask yourself two questions: Why this particular place and not somewhere else in the City? Why plan to open on September 11 and not some other date? If you're buying that this Trojan Horse mosque is intended to be symbol of interfaith tolerance, then are you also willing to buy a bridge I own in Brooklyn which I'm willing to part with cheap?
Islamic supremacists do not share your idyllic utopian "Everyone gets along here in New York" melting pot view of the world. Their concept of a melting pot is the pot they are slowing boiling you in. Don't be the frog in the pot being slowly brought to a boil.
Make no mistake about it. Mayor Bloomberg could not be more WRONG. This is NOT about denying practitioners of a religion the free exercise thereof. That would be un-American. This is about denying the jihadist enemies of this great city and this great country a humiliating triumphalist symbol of victory and supremacy. That is as American as apple pie. Learn from the folks on Staten Island. Let them build their mosque ANYWHERE ELSE."
All the power to you, folks.
Please invite American heroes Rudy Giuliani and Paul Sperry as honorary speakers and tell them about my idea that those 2 great men launch a new Center Party modeled after hero Geert Wilders' glorious Freedom Party and EDL, right there and then. It can lead to great, great things, saving our country and entire Western civilization.
