(CNN) -- Al-Shabaab, the Somali militant group that claimed responsibility for Sunday's deadly attacks in Uganda, is promising to "unleash a new tide of terror," but Uganda's leader has vowed to "deal with the authors of this crime and fight back."
"This is only the beginning," Al-Shabaab warned Thursday in a statement on the internet.

Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the bombings that killed 76 people in two locations in the Ugandan capital of Kampala. The attackers struck an Ethiopian restaurant in a neighborhood dotted with bars and popular among expatriates. Two other bombs exploded at a rugby center.
Police in Uganda have reported arrests in connection with the bombings, which also wounded dozens of people.
Al-Shabaab had said it is waging war "against 6,000 collaborators," a reference to the African Union peacekeeping force that includes Ugandan troops and warned Ugandans to refrain from involvement in Somalia. Burundi is a main troop contributor nation, and it has been threatened, too....

Given Burundi's history of massacres, and given the presence of thousands of armed Burundi troops in Somalia, the Somalis would be wise to avoid provoking them. Of course the Somalis have already given ample proof that they are not wise; so things may get interesting.

I hate to see real innocents killed, however, the more the al-shabaab and their ilk display what the true islam is about the more people turn to our side. More and more people will see that the religion of peace for what it really is: the religion of oppression, death, and destruction. The more killings in the name of islam occur, the less effective the stealth jihad is.
I have come to the conclusion that many people in the west like to give folks the benefit of the doubt. Some folks, out of fear, prefer not to see the truth. The more truth rears its, in this case, ugly head, the harder it is for people to ignore the situation.

Does anyone know if there has been any official condemnation of Al Shabaab's terrorist attacks by any Muslim state or organization? Has the Organization of Islamic Conference sent out a press statement? Anything?

In the December 2009 issue of Nat.Geo. Magazine, there is a very well written article about Somalia and the al shabaab terrorists, their links to other terrorists groups and how they have taken over the country. It is well-worth the read for anyone who would like more information on this group of terrorists.
And most likely, all of the "women" are men because many men (not islamists) will allow women to come closer to check-points, barriers, etc. than will allow muslim men. So the muslim men hide weapons under the burka and gain entrance because they are not challenged.
This is truly sickening behavior...and cowardly as well.
