How does one get arrested for planning to join any organization? Is it now a crime to consider action? American criminal law is founded on the concept of wrongful action, not wrongful thought.
Perhaps the writer of this story should have said that Shaker Masri was arrested on suspicion of conspiring with others to commit a terrorist act. That would be a crime subject to arrest and punishment.
If Mr Masri was indeed arrested for simple contemplation of action, then he deserves his right not to be condemned for a thoughtcrime or belief.

A student who disappeared in May showed up at home today after having gone missing for over 2 months. The student was a young man with an Arabic name who had been living at a mosque near his campus.
The family said he may have been "unhappy with his grades" and now wanted privacy.
This was reported on KMOX radio today but there is no mention on their website. The whole thing sounds very suspicious...
I suppose it's not against the law to disappear, but since the family filed a police report, and public resources were used to find this man, why won't the family say where he's been?

These stupid, stupid twenty something middle eastern males. Over and over again we hear the same stories. In their twenties, longing for da' jihad, arrested while attempting but invariably failing to wreak havoc. It's getting so boring but what's worse is the brain surgeons who run our governmental systems traitorously ignoring the rattlesnake that is poised to strike and bite them in the face.
I think it is up to us and we need to make our presence known. We need to give these folks a subtle message that we are here, we are paying attention, we are mad as hell and we aren't taking it anymore. It doesn't even matter if we die trying. We need to take a stand for our culture and our countries. If our elected officials and Muslim neighbors don't like it, fuck 'em.

I believe that eventually many of us are going to die fighting them. At some point we are just going to be forced to defend what is ours. I have thought this through at great length and am ready to die to save my country, my culture and my right to my religion. islam=evil. I sincerely believe that because they worship satan they are all demonically possessed.

I couldn't agree with you more. I too have contemplated this for a long time now and knowing that me and mine cannot live under Islam I have no choice but to fight it to the death. Believe me, I would rather go to the beach or paint my toenails or read an interesting book, but that is not my lot in life. Luckily for you and me we have a place to go if we don't survive. But I'm not planning not to survive.
I don't like Muslims' arrogance, ignorance or unrealistic expectations. I don't see why they should be rewarded for their nonsense and I have no intention of doing so.

I think the position of Islam (as presented on your website) and Christianity are mutually exclusive and irreconcilable.
