Muhammad, you see, said to stone adulterers to death, not to send them to one of the world's most beautiful and beguiling nations. A update on this story. Sharia Alert from the Islamic Republic: "Iran won't send woman who faced stoning to Brazil," from AP, August 16 (thanks to all who sent this in):
TEHRAN, Iran - Iran will not send a woman who had faced death by stoning on an adultery conviction to Brazil, which has offered her asylum, the president said in a TV interview broadcast Monday. The stoning sentence for Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani, a 43-year-old mother of two, has been lifted for now after it prompted an outcry from the United States and other governments as well as rights groups. Brazil, which has friendly relations with Iran, offered her asylum.
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told state-run English-language Press TV he did not think there was a need to send her to Brazil and that he hoped the issue "will be solved," without explaining.
"There is a judge at the end of the day and the judges are independent. But I talked with the head of the judiciary and the judiciary also does not agree" with Brazil's proposal, Ahmadinejad said. "I think there is no need to create some trouble for President Lula and take her to Brazil," he added, referring to Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva. [...]
Under Islamic rulings, a man is usually buried up to his waist, while a woman is buried up to her chest with her hands also buried. Those carrying out the verdict then throw stones until the condemned dies.
No mercy?
“And We have not sent you except as a Mercy to mankind.”

Yeah, and they by rule are told to use small stones so as to prolong the pain and, in fairness to the earnest Moslems tossing the rocks, the fun spectacle of it all.
Interesting. Ahmanutjob doesn't want to "trouble" President Lula with this woman.
Yet 50,000 Lebanese thought it a great idea to trouble Prime Minister Harper, and the rest of us, by claiming to be Canadian coz they wanted out of the Hezbollah-Isreal warzone a couple years ago.
Go ahead, dinnerjacket. Trouble Pres. Luis. One person bothering him has got to be much milder to deal with than 50K.
So much for *any* Infidel—no matter how much he might cater to the very worst Muslim states—thinking he might have any influence there.
This should be a heads-up for Hugo Chavez, Fidel and Raul Castro, and Lula himself—but I doubt it will be.
Still, I appreciate Lula—certainly the least bad of the bunch I mentioned above—for trying to do something decent here.
Mo/allah is so bloodthirsty that it won't allow Muslims escape its wrath. SS troopers of Iran would rather carry Mo/allah's orders than let innocent human beings escape without punishment!!!
It is haram to turn in your burqa for a Brazilian thong.
"Under Islamic rulings, a man is usually buried up to his waist, while a woman is buried up to her chest"
Maybe they dug the hole too deep, but according to an official witness at the last Iranian stoning of a woman, "she had been buried alive up to her shoulders while the guards stoned her to death." A human rights activist who worked on her case said, "They told her that they'll pour boiling water on her head if she refuses to confess that she had sex with another man except her husband,"
Last week President Lula said "the situation of this woman, faced with being stoned to death, is an affront to the feelings of Brazilians."
Allah will have his prize, Infidel! Know kneel before the dinner jacket and feel subdued.
* Correction - Now (not Know).
May God spare this woman somehow. But if not, may her death not be in vain - but rather the beginning of the overthrow of the present evil Islamic regime of Iran.
Such a barbaric practice - half-burying and stoning this woman to death. Shame on all Muslims everywhere who approve of this and who fail to condemn this.
This barbaric practice of stoning is not inspired or commanded by Allah/God. Rather, it is inspired by the Devil/Satan.
There may have been a practice of stoning during Old Testament times. God would have had a reason for allowing it - just as he allowed divorce through Moses as a form of concession. But this practice of stoning was completely abrogated by Jesus as exemplified by the woman caught in the act of adultery who received protection, mercy, and forgiveness from Jesus.
Then, 600 years or so later after Jesus, Muhammad re-instituted this practice - not commanded by God/Allah despite his claim, but commanded by the Devil/Satan whom Muhammad willingly mistook to be Allah/God.
As I read The End Of Nations blog I thought that Jihad watch blog's visitors have to read this: http://hubpages.com/hub/Global-Union-The-End-Of-Nations
"I think there is no need to create some trouble for President Lula and take her to Brazil," he [Ahmedinajad]added,
That sounds an awful lot like a threat, to me. Just who is likely to "cause trouble" for Lula if this woman gets asylum in Brazil? And just what kind of "trouble" might they cause?
Brilliant ! Cannot stop laughing !!
Have a Brazilian friend. She told me that the condemned woman will love the exchange. She is willing to guarantee it.
rsrsrs (if you understand what that means)
Sanjay
But I know the matter is more serious. I too hope that the woman is taken out of Iran somehow. No hope of India doing anything, being governed by an arch-dhimmi at the moment (MM Singh).
"I think there is no need to create some trouble for President Lula and take her to Brazil"
Hey Ahmadinejad, I just spoke with President Lula, and she said that it's no trouble at all. She can crash on the couch.
"There is a judge at the end of the day and the judges are independent. But I talked with the head of the judiciary and the judiciary also does not agree" with Brazil's proposal.
Ummmm....you say it's an independent judiciary, and then you reveal that you had an ex parte communication with a judge on a pending case, and now you are delivering the judge's message to the world for him? That doesn't sound independent.
Allah demands of his slaves they mete out punishment in this world. Free will, judgment later, is only for those that are crafty enough to avoid the prying eyes of the faithful. Sharia is Allah's hand, and Allah knows best. Why is it so, given that only Allah knows best, that blood money can be accepted, or punishment can be waived by the victim's family in certain instances? That Man's mercy, or someone corrupted by greed, would trump Allah's Will? These provisos make Sharia law a sham, but you knew that alrady.
By condoning the stoning to death of a woman for purportedly committing adultery shows that all Muslims, fanatical or not, continue to believe in the literal truth of the Koran. In this post-modern world, their refusal to consider concepts such as empathy and humanity, missing from the Koran, indicates that Muslims as a group are a danger to the principles for which the West stands,i.e., democracy, freedom of speech, and , yes, forgiveness. So called fanatical Islam, about 10% of the world's Muslim population of 1 billon, equals 100 million admitted supremacists, or nearly one third of the United States' population. This is alarming. More alarming is the fact that the uncommitted or non-radical Muslims are uneducated peasants who believe implicitly in Allah's words as recited by Mohammad in the Koran. A supremacist Muslim leader with the evil charisma of a Hitler could easily sway this mass of illiterate people to commit jihad against the West in the name of the merciful Allah. Stoning an innocent woman is just the beginning. Peace and democracy require eternal vigilance and sacrifice. Is the West prepared to fight for its hard won rights?
Brazil offers asylum to this woman, and Norway may well grant the request for asylum by this woman's lawyer, who had to flee Iran.
Brazil and Norway have comparatively little in common culturally—but they are both entirely Infidel nations. Somehow, I doubt we are going to see any Muslim nation—no matter how allegedly "moderate"—offering asylum to any of these victims of pure Islam.
Even though Mohammad Mostafaei fled first to Turkey, it is all too noteworthy that he did not request asylum there—in fact, they arrested him for being in the country without a proper passport.
I knew he would wind up somewhere in the civilized West is he could manage it, rather than trust to the tender mercies of his Muslim co-religionists.
I'm thinking of a new television series = with burqa clad escapees from Iran arriving in Rio, ripping off their burqas and making a dash for the beach in their micro-kinis.
