OTTAWA - She spoke out against the Ground Zero mosque, now a Canadian Muslim woman says she is being threatened. Raheel Raza, a founding member of the Muslim Canadian Congress, calls the idea of a mosque within 300 metres of Ground Zero "a deliberate provocation."Last week Raza joined Maureen Basnicki a Canadian widow of 9-11 in attending a meeting about the mosque in New York City.
"They were very arrogant. They didn't answer questions," Raza told QMI Agency.
The meeting was hosted by Daisy Khan, the wife of the Imam promoting the mosque and Sharif El Gamal, the man whose property firm owns the land the mosque is to be built on.
Raza says she asked questions about who was financing the building, estimated to cost $100 million, and whether any of the money would come from countries other than the United States. There has been much speculation that the mosque is being funded through Saudi Arabian sources but at the Manhattan meeting Raza said there were no answers.
On Monday, back in Toronto, Raza says she received a call on her cellphone from a man who identified as Sharif El Gamal. "His tone was intimidating," said Raza. "He accused me of 'jumping into' the meeting he called and then said 'May Allah protect you.' I was shocked and hung up."
Raza says she took the phone call as a clear threat against her.
"Why would I need Allah's protection?" asked Raza.
Raza says El Gamal's tone was threatening and she took the phone call as a clear threat against her, and not as it is sometimes used, as a casual phrase meaning goodbye. Contacted at his New York office El Gamal initially didn't have much to say. "I'm confused by your phone call," he said before hanging up.
Contacted a second time El Gamal said "There was no phone call made by anybody" before again hanging up the phone to abruptly end the call.
Raza insists there was a call, "I saved the number on my cell." The number on Raza's cellphone matches that of El Gamal's Soho Properties offices in New York....

Speculate about the fundraising no longer. According to the New York Post:
"A London-based Arabic-language newspaper that interviewed Abdul Rauf reported that he says he also will collect money from Muslim and Arab nations around the world..."

Sharif El-Gamal, like any typically good courageous and full-of-guts mahoundian, would only dare to beat someone up in a one-on-one fight if that someone were a woman or a child. Were that scumbag to get into a fight against a lone male infidel, we'd see his pants get wetter than a typical day in the rain forest unless he had a little help from at least another 8 mahoundians.

Raheel Raza seems like a fine human being. She's very intelligent and every time I hear her speak I'm impressed. It's refreshing to hear her voice speak for what she sees as a moderate Islam. I do believe she is sincere.
But I'm afraid that she still doesn't quite "get it." Like many others, she is finding that the pull to the religion of her birth is too strong. However, with a few more incidents such as this one, she might soon become like Ayaan Hirsi Ali and depart the religion altogether.

This simple statement absolves any muslim who takes it upon himself to kill another person. The warped mindset is that Allah will prevent any harm to those he wants to remain unharmed, but will allow harm if he wants the person harmed.
In the quran, these verse cover that:

Ms. Raheel Raza was interviewed by CBC's "The Current" last week. While she was allowed to enunciate her position, and did so quite eloquently, her interview was followed by an interview of the reptilian Sheema Khan of CAIR-Canada.
Ms. Khan answered none of the points Ms. Raza raised, most notably: "Why there, if outreach is the genuine goal?" Instead, in her usual way, Ms. Khan raised a fair number of decoy issues, including going so far as to state that the entire movement objecting to the mosque is politically based, coming from Republicans and Tea-Partyers.
This would have been a perfect time for the presenter to follow up with a question such as: Weren't non-Republicans also affected by the 9/11 attacks. But instead, he offered her the puffball question: Do you think this objection stems from Islamophobia?
I won't trouble you with describing her answer, but the interview was so limp-wristed, so solicitous of the pro-mosque position that I wrote a letter to the CBC expressing my alarm. There was no response.

It's certainly within the realm of possibility that, as one of the founders of the Muslim Canadian Congress (which has actively opposed sharia), Raza has received threats in the past. This however does not seem to be one of those times. This is just not a clear threat and it seems highly unlikely to me that, were it to be reported to the police, it would be taken seriously.
El, you and your crack-staff have blown the lid off this caper with that expose'! I always suspected that these mosque-people loved themselves waayy too much to have any left-over affection for their accomplices. They probably fight over who makes the coffee there at "Hate Park 51," and it just goes to hell from there. Can you imagine Imam Ralph cleaning the office microwave? Yeesh! Sharif El-Gamal likely considers Raheel Raza a "heretic" and an "apostate".
Why doesn't Raheel Raza file charges against the Sharif charging him with threatening behavior towards her? Responding to it would give the poor exhausted man a distraction from all the pressures of the mosque business, something to relax with, like needlepoint.
Looks like Gamal doesn't know about Caller I.D.
