In American jurisprudence such laws would be stuck unconstitutional under the due process clauses of either the 5th Am. (for federal behavior) or the 14th Am. (for state behavior) on the basis that these laws are void for vagueness.

From the original story it seems that the mosque loudspeakers were broadcasting at ear-splitting levels in the middle of the night. According to his own account, Lloyd just yelled at them, finally, to turn it down.
Of course, Lombok is 80-85% Muslim, so this request did not go over well.

Not to anyone versed in the ugliness of Shari'ah law, it doesn't. Whether Lloyd actually unplugged the mikes or just called for them to be turned down, he was creating an "obstacle" to Da'wa (Islamic preaching), and was thus "blaspheming".
Now, Lloyd probably should have known better. On the other hand, like so many clueless Westerners, he probably thought his neighbors in his tropical "paradise" were pretty much like himself—and that while they might get irked at being told to "keep it down", would probably not act as a mob to assault him, destroy his home, and steal his property.

The prime example of this in modern times, I think, was/is atheistic communism. The individual has no personal value in such a state. Dissidents are sent post haste to the Gulag.
Such systems are the very opposite of the judaeo-christian and graeco-roman cultures of Europe and USA. In these cultures (much loved by eg the great Geert Wilders) the state exists in order to assist the individual to achieve his/her full potential.
