Iranian cleric says Holocaust "superstition"

Since they ascribe Israel's existence to the Holocaust, they believe this denial strips the Jewish State of all legitimacy. "Senior Iranian cleric dismisses Nazi Holocaust as 'superstition,'" from the Daily Mail, September 5 (thanks to all who sent this in):

A senior Iranian cleric has dismissed the Nazi Holocaust during World War II as a 'superstition' created by the West.

Grand Ayatollah Naser Makarem Shirazi - among the highest authorities in Shiite Islam - said in reports released yesterday. 'The Holocaust is nothing but superstition, but Zionists say that people of the world should be forced to accept this,' he was quoted as saying by the state news agency IRNA.

He continued. "The truth about the Holocaust is not clear, and when the researchers want to examine whether it is true or the Jews have created it to pose as victims, they jail the researchers,' said Makarem Shirazi, who is a 'marja,' or among the highest authorities in Shiite Islam.

Iran's hardline President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has repeatedly branded the Holocaust a 'myth' in his frequent anti-Israel diatribes drawing international condemnation, but Iran's prominent clergy have rarely echoed such comments....

funny. he is staunch critic of Ahmadinejad's policie

Iranian mullahs don't think much of sunni muslims either. The building of a sunni school or mosque in theocratic Iran is regarded as an unpardonable crime. Tehran is one of the few capital cities without a sunni mosque.

Iranian mullahs - putting the MAD back into mutually assured destruction.

Oh Good Grief. All you need to know about Muslim "clerics."

Idiots. Total and complete Idiots. Imbeciles.

Here's some superstition for the bone head: Islam is a religion of peace.

An American second-grader is more intelligent than a Koran-following 60-year-old Muslim cleric.

Very true, Sean. the combination of Holocaust denial and threatening another Holocaust is especially disturbing.

But it works just fine re Islamic "logic"—the Holocaust, they hold, "benefited" the Jews, because it led to the creation of the state of Israel (never mind that this is false)—since this is held to be bad for Muslims, ergo, it cannot be true.

Now a second Holocaust—that would murder large numbers of Jews and lead to the destruction of Israel, so it is a good thing for bloody-minded Muslims.

That's why you can find the cognitive dissonance of Holocaust deniers vowing to "finish what Hitler started".

One minute they are denying the holocaust. The next, they are carrying around signs that say "God Bless Hitler." Make up your mind, Muslims.

That's why you can find the cognitive dissonance of Holocaust deniers vowing to "finish what Hitler started".

When it is convenient for muslims, the Holocaust really happened, like when they're in histrionic high gear, calling themselves the 'new Jews' or victims-in-waiting for the next Holocaust which will occur as a result of irrational islamophobia and hatred of muslims. The MSM is using the mosque controversy to help them create that illusion and to portray themselves as helpless, innocent victims. They are ramping up the lies and non-existent threats to muslims in an effort to stop all public discourse and criticism of islam.

Muslims---the people that evolution forgot, stuck in a time-warp where incest and cognate unions have depleted the gene pool. The 'pure' people of Pakistan, a breed of their own, are testament to the perils of inbreeding.

And a Twelfth Imam hiding down a well for 1500 years is the height of rationality?

These people really take the cake.

'The 'pure' people of Pakistan, a breed of their own, are testament to the perils of inbreeding.'

Then they come here to Britain and continue the cousin marriages, basically a scam to import more and more peasant and illiterate brides.

Add in the fact that our free NHS and social services are then burdened with the care of the retard offspring and there you have it.

The joys of diversity!

Here's a link as to the outcome of this semi incest.

I'll tell you what is a superstition: that there is an allah and that mo was some sort a messenger for non-existent allah.

News like this just saddens me.

I had a co-worker who was in the U.S. Army during the Second World War. He helped liberate Dachau. Later he served as a guard at the Nuremberg trials. His stories were no different than what the histories say, with the addition of his personal observations.

So many want to rewrite history, and many got particularly good at it during the Cold War. It needs to be condemned whenever it is done, even if the temptation is to write the revisionist off as a nut. Nuts can get many people killed.

The Ayatollah would feel quite at home among neo-nazis: always denying to us that the Holocaust took place, or complaining that numbers are greatly exaggerated. But we are all perfectly aware that once they are among themselves only, they grumble about the job not being better done.

me too. I just don't get it why they deny it or want to make it less of it was. I am not sure what they get out of it.

Denying the Holocaust is a symptom of the very evil that seeks to repeat it.

The lesson we learn from history is that genocide is easier than anyone thinks. Iran can deny the past. They can perpetrate the ultimate evil. In the end, it will be their undoing. Their economy will be in shambles, and their reputation will take decades of concerted work to repair.

Just ask a German.
