They could declare in no uncertain terms that they don't believe that the Iranian regime, or any regime, is a mouthpiece for any divine being, and that Muslims must accept the idea of living as equals with non-believers under non-religious governments, without working to impose Sharia upon those non-believers. A vocal female human rights activist and journalist went on trial in Iran Saturday on charges including "warring against God," which is punishable by death, her lawyer was reported as saying.Shiva Nazar-Ahari, 26, went on trial "on charges of Moharebeh (warring against God), conspiring and gathering to commit a crime, propaganda against the regime and harming public order," lawyer Mohammad Sharif told ILNA news agency....
Nazar-Ahari was first arrested shortly after Iran's controversial June 2009 presidential election and released on bail after three months.
She was re-arrested in December while on her way to the religious city of Qom for the funeral of top dissident cleric Grand Ayatollah Hossein Ali Montazeri....
Since the 1979 Islamic revolution, the Iranian regime has executed scores of opponents after finding them guilty of "Moharebeh" in cases such as bombing and taking up arms against the Islamic establishment.
According to the quran, "Warring against allah" is punishable by death:
"The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger, and strive with might and main for mischief through the land is: execution, or crucifixion, or the cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides, or exile from the land: that is their disgrace in this world, and a heavy punishment is theirs in the Hereafter" (5:33)
This isn't an "Iran" problem, this is an "Islam" problem.

Good point. It's exactly the same. Isn't it? Except they can't just impose a death sentence for Tea Party membership just yet. Not that they wouldn't like to. They just want to demonize the opposition cause Alinsky says this is the first step.

It was a chance encounter and he didn't even know that Ayres was the unrepentant terrorist lionized by progressives everywhere for acting against the evil US government. How often we hear Muslims claiming that "God's" law is superior to human law. Well, the result is that you get regimes that conflate themselves with God. That's about as blasphemous as you can get. Actually 'warring against God/Allah', is an absolute sin committed only by kufr...Those who do not war against Allah, are pious Mahoundians...And these pious Mahoundians were/are ordered by Allah to fight kufr until the entire world is for Allah only...Every thing a kufr does is warring with Allah, because 'a bad tree can't produce good fruit', so the tree must be cut down...According to Allah's main man, there are only three ways for kufr to get out of trouble...convert and pay zakat...Agree to dhimmi status and pay jizya while being humiliated...or die, which is really not much of a choice...
If a kufr stops warring with Allah he becomes a pious Mahoundian...If he keeps it up, he is a target...
