This proves to show you how religious Muslims are so insecure about themselves that they have to kill people for burning a book (the Koran) that is 60% political and 100% anti-women, anti-gay, anti-Jew, anti-Christian, anti-infidel, anti-democracy and anti-freedom. No wonder Islamic countries are backwards and its women and minorities oppressed.

And please note—this is book burning *by the state*, not a private individual, which is an entirely different matter. Also of note—pastor Terry Jones was going to burn *his own books*—he was *not* planning on burning Qur'ans seized from Muslims, as these books in Iran were seized from their rightful owners.

Many new readers may wonder what this is all about. Muslims claim that Jews and Christians were given scripture that was entirely in line with the Qur'an, but then deliberately "perverted" the texts.

In other words, they believe that Jewish and Christian scripture—even though historically much older than the "Prophet" Muhammed—are really heretical Islamic texts.

They hold that if Jews and Christians were not so willfully perverse, they would all be Muslim.

If that weren't enough, where are the condemnations from Buraq Hussein and David Petraeus of the fatwa allowing pages from the New Testament and the Torah to be used to wipe mahoundian rear ends after defecation??? I'm sure that if mahoundians did that in the West, they'd never be charged with anything... On the other hand, that German businessman who printed verses of Mein Qurampf on toilet paper was sentenced to a year in prison for that.

Just more proof that, little by little, more and more Western freedoms are being done away with in the name of enforcing sharia over the parts of the world yet not annihilated by mahoundianism as mahoundian-majority lands have been.

Seizure of Bibles by a government entity, be it the US military or Iran's Revolutionary Guard, is in step with Sharia. Burning of same, Sharia compliant. You can't expect the Combustor-In-Chief to phoo-phoo Sharia compliance. Next, you'll be demanding seperation of mosque and state. Might as well ask for a tax audit with that attitude.

The one thing we can know for sure about our current president is that Obama is no Christian.

This Allah of theirs must have been asleep at the wheel. Not one copy has survived in it's origional form. Why would He have allowed this perversion of truth to go unchallenged for countless generations? He set up the good guy-bad guy dealio? It's bad enough you have Satan in the mix. These savages cry about the desecration of their holy book then go on to burn other religions' books. This just proves muslims are not worthy of anyone's respect-they certainly don't respect us-so why the hell should we yield to them?

This makes a total farce about fostering religious harmony. One can easily see these people are beyond reason when some backwaters obscure pastor whose mere threat of burning Qurans actually gets people killed in muslim states.

How much more evidence do people need to see that Islam does not belong anywhere in this world? It breeds violence, pedophilia, misogyny, warfare, unreason, lunacy and our media/elites keep bending over for these maniacs.

One more example of how Muslims have no other argument besides violence or the threat thereof.

But, I've heard that five of the officers charged with the burning are now being held and are facing apostasy charges, because smoke from the burning went up their noses, after which they started chanting, "There is no God but God, and he became incarnate in Isa al-Masih! Muhammad is NOT a prophet!"

Bibles are being smuggled into Iran, eh?

Nothing is smuggled unless there's a demand for it.

And a good rule of thumb is that for every smuggled item you catch, there's a dozen more consignments slipping through.

In any case: the codex, made of paper and cardboard, is sooo not the only way to communicate the good news these days.

You can fit the whole text in Farsi in digital form onto a teeny-tiny flash-drive so small it can be hidden just about anywhere.

And then there's radio, both shortwave and longwave. And there are Persian apostates from Islam to Christianity all over the Western world to tell their stories on Christian radio broadcasts into Iran. Plenty of folks to give their testimonies and recite and discuss the Biblical scriptures - which even considered from a purely literary POV are vastly superior to the Quran and Hadiths, being simply better-written, more consistent and coherent, and much more varied - in Farsi and other tongues spoken within Iran; all a person needs is a little radio, to tune in.

I wonder how the Song of Solomon sounds, in Farsi translation? More beautiful than anything in 'the perfumed garden', I'll bet; and far, far more attractive to any hetero man or woman. "My beloved is mine, and I am his; and his banner over me is love"..."Many waters cannot quench love; neither can the floods drown it..its flashes are flashes of fire, as the fire of God". Pour *that* into Persia, night and day, along with the Christian injunctions to monogamy; drop those depth charges and watch the explosions in the subconsciousness of Persian females. Whisper in their ears - "in Christianity, your man must be faithful to *just you* as his wife, no co-wives or concubines permitted"..."in Christianity, he is NOT allowed to beat you"..."in Christianity, your husband is commanded to *love* you, self-sacrificingly", "if he's a Christian he *can't* just throw you out like a used kleenex...in Christianity there's no dreaded 'talaq talaq talaq'".

Final thought: I wonder whether Fr Botros' hard-hitting satellite TV programs critiquing Islam have been dubbed into Farsi yet?

As Christians, we are exhorted to `turn the other cheek', so nobody gives a tuppenny fig for our `sensitivities'. Muslims, on the other hand are clearly sensitive souls who must not be offended at any cost. They do tend to get rather violent if you upset them so this may have something to do with the dhimmi style approach by western authorities and politicians, with a very few noble exceptions!
Yesterday in the UK, the media were full of outrage that someone had dumped a pig's head outside a so called mosque (it looked like an ordinary house) and our Muslim friends were duly upset. Of course, the police were `treating it very seriously as a `hate crime'! No doubt it will receieve priority over more mundane activities like catching real criminasl and protecting the public at large.
