Rally of Remembrance: No to Ground Zero Mosque September 11, 3pm
Park Pace and West Broadway, Ground Zero
Dedicated to the men, women and children who lost their lives; those brave people who gave their lives, and to the heroes who responded to the emergency
11 September 2001
Please join us on September 11th at the FDI/SIOA Rally of Remembrance, 3pm at West Broadway and Park Place: Yes to Freedom, No to the Ground Zero Mosque.
PLEASE BRING FLAGS
The human rights organization Freedom Defense Initiative (FDI) and Stop Islamization of America (SIOA) will be hosting a pro-freedom Rally of Remembrance against the Ground Zero mega-mosque on September 11 at 3pm at Park Place and West Broadway.
The confirmed list of speakers includes 9/11 family members, former U. S. Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton (video message); the Dutch Parliamentarian and freedom fighter Geert Wilders; journalist Andrew Breitbart (video message); war hero and North Carolina Congressional candidate Ilario Pantano; nationally syndicated conservative radio host Mike Gallagher; Nelly Braginskaya, 911 family member -- mother to Alex; Muslim Iranian activist Sam Khoshbaten; Coptic Christian activist Joseph Nassralla; Lisa Vincent, widow of author and journalist Steven Vincent, who was killed in Iraq; Sudanese ex-slave and human rights activist Simon Deng; Jordan Sekulow of the American Center for Law and Justice, which has filed suit to stop the Ground Zero mega-mosque; Dan Weber, founder of the Association of Mature American Citizens; James Lafferty, VAST; Professor Richard Connerney of Pace University (Pace lost 4 students and 43 alumni); New York Congressional candidate York Kleinhandler; Darla Dawald, National Director of ResistNet.com; and Satya Dosapati of Hindu Human Rights Watch.
The rally will begin with a brief memorial service for the victims of the 9/11 attacks, featuring prayers offered by a rabbi, a minister and a priest for the families of the victims and for the nation.
The acclaimed vocalist Sarah Lee Michaels will sing the National Anthem.
Hosting the rally are Pamela Geller, the popular blogger and columnist who publishes the acclaimed AtlasShrugs.com blog and executive director of FDI and SIOA; and SIOA associate director Robert Spencer, the bestselling author and director of JihadWatch.org. Geller is the author (with Spencer) of The Post-American Presidency: The Obama Administration's War on America (foreword by Ambassador John Bolton), published by Simon & Schuster.
Responding to requests from a faction of 9/11 family members who asked her not to hold the rally on September 11, Geller said: "I would have canceled the rally, but due to the large number of family members who have contacted me and asked us to help them speak out for their loved ones and give them a voice to express their opinions, in all conscience I cannot postpone the rally."
Building the Ground Zero mosque is not an issue of religious freedom, but of resisting an effort to insult the victims of 9/11 and to establish a beachhead for political Islam and Islamic supremacism in New York. Ground Zero mosque imam Feisal Abdul Rauf is an open proponent of Sharia, Islamic law, a system that denies the freedom of speech, the freedom of conscience, and the equality of rights of all people before the law. Given the thousands of triumphal mosques that have been built on the cherished sites of conquered peoples throughout Islamic history, the mosque leaders' claim that this mosque would be understood differently by Muslims worldwide lack foundation.
Free citizens are coming from all over the U.S. to attend the rally.
Join the largest Caravan in America coming cross-country to the 9/11 Rally.
Pamela Hall reports that cars, trucks and vans will be festooned with yellow ribbons, flags, flags and more flags as they drive across America to the 9/11 Day of Remembrance.
The Caravan Facebook page is here.
Keep an eye out for this car and all the others from the caravan as they head in to Lower Manhattan and join together at Ground Zero.
FDI/SIOA is one of America's foremost organizations defending human rights, religious liberty, and the freedom of speech against Islamic supremacist intimidation and attempts to bring elements of Sharia to the United States.
Join SIOA's Facebook page here.
And if you go, and you should, you need to remember that, to some who may be there, you are prey and if you are not careful they will kill you, unless you are aware and prepared:

Robert; thank you for letting me link from here.
Building the Ground Zero mosque is not an issue of religious freedom...
That's correct for the building issue, as a cultural center it is not technically religious...When it is a mosque, religious freedom comes into play...Then the base line question is evoked...Should Islam even be allowed 'religious freedom', and the freedom to fully practice it in the US?
That means sharia, and the ummah will not be satisfied with sharia lite for long...Sooner or later this question of 'freedom of religion' is going to have to be answered...
The Greek Archbishop Demitrious will be at the GZ Memorial Services to lead prayers and then later in the day, around 4 PM, I believe, he will be NEAR the site of the 9/11 destroyed St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church for a memorial service to those who died on 9/11.
If you want to know more, go to GOARCH.org. You can also join, for free of course. the FACEBOOK page for the cause to re-build the little church AT GZ near where it stood for over 80 years.
THANKS ROBERT.
I wish I could attend. May this event be a watershed - a true historical moment. But one thing: doubtless, the peerlessly articulate, persuasive, and erudite Hugh Fitzgerald would be a marvelous presence were he to be added as a speaker. Hugh - where are you?
I think Hugh is a behind-the-scenes kinda guy, while RS goes out to face the masses.
god bless the united states of america, and its true patriots.

Countdown to 9/11 Ground Zero mosque protest, a peaceful demonstration to reject the vile ideology of Islam, and the world is watching. Good. Show the world we are better.
Wishing to Mr. Spencer and Ms. Geller great success, and to all great lovers of freedom who show tomorrow.
YES TO FREEDOM!!
I agree with all you wrote!! YES TO FREEDOM!!
Please sign on the FACEBOOK PAGE for the little St.Nicholas Church, if you can. They need all the help they can get.
Go arch.org.
THANK YOU, BATTLE OF TOURS!!
All the best for the rally, whatever we may think about the flags v posters controversy.
Let's hope enough people turn up to make it difficult for the MSM to paint this as a rally of a "tiny band of extremists". I hope some Brits get there as well...I think about 10% of the victims were British so we do need to be involved.
Dear Robert,
I cannot be there ..but believe me ....my every inch of soul ....my ever drop of blood ...my every piece of flesh ..wants to be there ............today i sad ..and would ..ask ..God ..why i was not born an American .....a FREE man .....believe me ...its a man's promise ...i will do everything in my power .......to help you ..people .....in this fight .........NEVER GIVE UP .............NEVER ........EVER
The worst result of our current situation is that the media will focus on Terry Jones and lunatic Muslims and their dhimmi enablers to down-play or even ignore this event, which in real terms is significant, while Jones' effort are a flash in the pan.
We might put in some extra effort to see the media cannot bury this rally.
If you call yourself Arjuna, methinks you have plenty to do in your own country.Hare bol...

Going on ten years now and the Huge 9-11 cavernous awe inspiring hole in the earth where the twin towers once stood, is still there - a perpetual memorial to the superiority of the Muslim Bible over American Democracy. Now, a beautiful HUGE mosque will be built on the edge of that Muslim-made Grand Canyon so that Muslim visitors from all over the world can climb up to the observation decks which are specially made to give everyone a view of what can happen to a country that dares to defy the clear warnings in the Holy KORAN that no infidel should trouble those who follow the only true faith in God that ever existed or ever will exist. On viewing the magnificent victory hole which will scar American forever, the Muslim viewer will be filled with glorious wonder and pride whilst the Americans will be humbled at the sight and realize the holy and mighty superiority of the religion of the Koran and the perfect faith of the only Chosen People of God - a mighty faith that laughs at death, and looks forward with absolute confidence to an eternity in heaven with co-habiting beautiful naked angels whilst enjoying watching the horrible agonies of all the non-Muslims suffering in Hell forever! But, right now, there is the great hole in the ground - you have to ask yourself, "why is it still there? How hard can it be to cover up this insult? Why has it not been done? How many big oil money bribes did it take to keep it here for the viewing delight of all the good Muslims in the world? A lot you can be sure - paying off American to sh*t can their national pride does not come cheap![how am I doing Marisol? Thanks for letting me back].

Showing up after no one is commenting anymore.
Sounds like he is enjoying himself.
I encourage you that are coming to do as Mr. Spencer and Ms. Geller have suggested, bring an American Flag, not a sign or banner.
I was at the last rally and will be there tomorrow. What I observed last time will be more in evidence tomorrow.
First, the mainstream print and TV media have already written their stories along the lines of "Angry white racist Islamophobes shout message of hate and intolerance". All they will be there for is to take pictures to back up that lie. They did last time and you can expect they will more aggressively this time try to provoke you by putting still and video cameras so close to your face you could swat them away. Then they leave them on you like some sort of staredown contest. They want an angry face or a coarse word. Give them nothing. You might want to smile, but just an impassive face focused on the speakers is good enough. The media was at the last rally, they chose the path of ignoring it, but they were there. I take pictures of their press credentials and of them. (Ironically, they don't like that.)
Second, last time the uniformed police were fine. But they are, in the end, Mayor Bloomberg's force now. He does not like us and viscerally hates our challenge to his worldview evidenced by his near religious zeal for the support of this victory mosque and his hateful comments about those that oppose this mosque. I would not be surprised to find the uniformed police to be provocative in their own way. Mayor Bloomberg would love some trumped up arrests from our number for disorderly conduct, assaulting police, resisting arrest. Please be courteous and respectful of them. Get used to the non-uniformed law enforcement agencies to be taking massive numbers of photos of all the faces in our crowd. They did it last time. This is pure and simple intelligence gathering -- remember, Mayor Bloomberg, Nancy Pelosi and the Obama Administration believe that we are the threat to national security and you will be monitored. That's one of the things you have to accept if your are going to exercise your First Amendment rights, even peacefully and civilly.
Be prepared, but please show up. This is one protest where numbers will speak far louder than shouts or angry rhetoric.
Advertising on my blog; will be there w/ out of town guest at 3 pm...GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Going on ten years now and the Huge 9-11 cavernous awe inspiring hole in the earth where the twin towers once stood, is still there - a perpetual memorial to the superiority of the Muslim Bible over American Democracy. Now, a beautiful HUGE mosque will... rant rant...
It sounds like the hysterical squawk of an impotent, dickless rooster to go into the pot.
- LOL!!! :)
There are no 'virgins' awaiting him, just the hot fire, so let him rant. Islam is dying. This is what dickless Islam sounds like in its 'last days'.
I believe that the Muslims should be more sensitive towards the feelings of Americans and either stop building the mosque near Ground Zero, or shift it to another location further away. I do not understand why they continue to insist on stoking the fire.
As an example in Malaysia, a Hindu temple was built nearly a hundred years ago. Only in the past 20 years, a township was build around the temple and the majority of the residents are Muslims. After much political pressure, it was decided that the Hindu temple should be relocated to a new location because apparently the Muslims felt uneasy that a temple was right in front of their houses, when in fact the temple was there long before any developer built houses there.
Okay, so they decided to move it to another location in the township. The Hindu temple was to be built in a factory area about 200 meters from the nearest house. You would have think that would have satisfied them right? No, now the Muslim residents of that area protested that the Hindu temple is too near their house, will disturb their prayers, and will try to convert their children (which is bullshit since the Constitution of Malaysia do not allow for Muslims to be converted). These residents then took it even further by dragging the severed bloody head of a cow (a sacred animal for Hindus) to the local government offices, stomped and spitted on the cow, and uttered threats of bloodshed and annihilation.
The federal government then tried to accommodate the protesters. They were even invited to tea with the Home Minister and in the subsequent press conference the Home Minister said the protesters were actually not trying to insult the Hindus by dragging the severed cows head (yeah right). Seeing as they now had the tacit backing of the federal government, these hooligans proceeded to disrupt a meeting held by the local government by shouting profanities, threats against state officials.
All these happened without the police once interfering. Which is very funny because demonstrations are illegal in Malaysia. Candle light vigils are broken up with force and the participants dragged by the police. In the end outrage, forced the federals to finally react and charge them in court. But while the court case is now in motion, the same band of hooligans have not stopped issuing threats to the non-Muslims.
I would like to commend the state government for they have been trying to come up with a solution while facing threats from extremists and a federal government that very much like to topple it. They are Muslims too, but understanding Muslims with an open mind. This shows that not all Muslims are bad.
Other cases include in Borneo state of Sabah a Buddhist statue of the Goddess Ma Tzu construction was halted after complaints by Muslims that it was too near a mosque (200 meters) and that it cannot be higher than the mosque. Many more cases in what is a fairly moderate Muslim nation.
Now ask yourself this, if this is the kind of treatment being meted out to non-Muslims by moderate Muslims, what do you think the treatment of non-Muslims by worst Muslim countries?
Annie, you're on there girlfriend. : )
Add mine too. Best of luck to all of you at the rally.
Take Care and Be safe!!
And many thanks too for this thoughtful offer, Isabella!
Go arch.org.
Thank you sewsalot, but I visited their site to sign, nice page, but it seems I can only do so through Facebook. Regrets, I'd love to sign for St. Nicholas Church, but I can't join Facebook, for private reasons. Over 4000 signatures is good, keep up the good work. Hope they build it.
What is Islam? Is Islam a religion or is Islam a political totalitarian ideology? The answer is it is both. Islam is a theo-political totalitarian ideology that seeks to subjugate all unbelievers, all religions, and all governments via the imposition of Sharia as its main goal, and to understand this you must understand how Islam evolved.
For 13 years Muhammad preached Islam in Mecca and in all that time he attracted only around 150 followers, mostly only the dregs and outcast of society. That works out to a little over 10 followers a year. However, after the Hijra, Muhammad’s migration from Mecca to Medina in 622 CE, Muhammad turned to jihad and politics and that is when Islam finally began to take off. Hence, when Islam was just a religion alone it was a dismal failure. However, when Muhammad turned to jihad and politics then all of a sudden Islam became wildly successful, as it conquered the majority of the known world a short 100 years later converting millions in the process and rendering millions into harsh and degrading dhimmitude.
Indeed, the first day of the Islamic calendar was set to the first day of the Hijra to commemorate the specific time at which Islam made its miraculous transformation from the realm of religion to the realm of politics. Therefore, it is clear that if it weren’t for this very profound transformation Islam would have been a dismal failure that never would have survived the life of Muhammad. Indeed, no one would have ever heard of Muhammad or his religion, as it would have been long forgotten in the desert. Thus, Islam today is far more a theo-political totalitarian ideology than it is anything else, and anyone who claims otherwise clearly doesn’t understand what Islam is.
Hence, since Islam is a theo-political totalitarian ideology that seeks to subjugate the world via the imposition of Sharia as its main goal, it is clear that Islam isn’t protected by the free exercise clause of the First Amendment. Therefore, anyone who defends the First Amendment right to build the Ground Zero Mosque clearly doesn’t know what Islam is much less understand what they are talking about, because technically Islam is a theo-political totalitarian ideology as opposed to a religion and it couldn’t be clearer that theo-political totalitarian ideologies are not protected by the First Amendment or any other amendments of the constitution for that matter.
Therefore, those leading the fight to stop the Ground Zero Mosque may in the end win this battle, but they will also inevitably lose the war, because once they concede that Islam has a First Amendment right to build mosques, it will be much harder in the future to stop mosques from being built or to stop the demographic conquest of the USA. Hence, I’m very disappointed in people like Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller who clearly know and understand what Islam is but yet are missing a golden opportunity to speak out.
Excellent point. Islam was able to make all those conquests and thrive, because it provided religious cover, in fact, a convenient mask for what is essentially an imperialistic political doctrine. It has been well loved of psychopathic despots down the ages, because it also removes all the normal compunctions of morality and humanity which would otherwise keep a cruel tyrant or an expansionist doctrine in check.
Re. the memorial prayers near the site of St Nicholas's Greek Orthodox Church.
Here is some information about Eastern Orthodox funeral practices. From Wikipedia, but none the worse for that:
Kontakion
The Kontakion of the Dead is one of the most moving portions of the service.
It is linked to the Ikhos, another hymn which follows it.
During the funeral it takes place after the Sixth Ode of the Canon.
It is also chanted during panikhidas (memorial services) which are conducted both before and after the funeral:
Kontakion -
"With the saints give rest, O Christ, to the soul of Thy servant where there is neither sickness, nor sorrow, nor sighing, but life everlasting."
Ikhos -
"Thou alone art immortal, who hast created and fashioned man. But we mortals are formed of earth, and unto dust shall we return, as Thou who madest me didst command and say unto us: For thou art dust, and to dust shalt thou return.
Whither, also, all we mortals wend our way, making as a funeral durge the song:
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!"
'Tolling of bells
"During the procession, the bells are tolled.
" In the Russian tradition, the funeral toll is called Perebor.
"Each individual bell is struck once, from the smallest to the largest, in a slow, steady peal. After that, all of the bells are struck together at the same time.
"Striking the bells from the smallest to the largest symbolizes the stages of a person’s life from birth to death; the final striking of all the bells together symbolizes the end of this earthly life."
May the day come quickly when a beautiful new church of St Nicholas rises right next to the WTC site, with a tall bell-tower and a full ring of bells by which those who were murdered on September 11 2001 may be honoured with all due solemnity.
Sometimes it sucks to be here in Alaska. Not exactly driving distance from here to anywhere in the lower 48.
However,
We are having a little gathering here in Wasilla. Sarah Palin will be in attendance along with a few others of note.
The local liberal rag has already condemned it.
No wonder they're going under. No one enjoys the venom they spew so...down they go, wondering what the problem is the whole time.
I'd like to see that wherever this mosque ends up, that a huge Church is built with 4 towers that cast shadows upon the barracks of our enemies at all hours of the day.
I"m pissed. Can you tell?
islam is a lie and
Truth is killing it.
Slam dunk, gotcha. And I'll add you to Alaskan Infidel, if you like. And we will be with you in Wasilla too!
Gotta go! See you guys.
Yes, he is enjoying himself, away from the crowd. And he stinks.
As I write this many of you are at the rally. God bless all of you! I'm stuck in Canada right now but my heart is in New York and with the people of freedom.
It is almost three 3:00 pm here in the Pacific Northwest Sept. 11, but I have yet to see any showing of a rally of any sort on the main news channels. I made a bet that there would be very little attention given to it by the media. First on the list of reasons for that is media bias- has anyone else here noticed how liberal-minded even CNN is ? They will probably show some rally in favor of the mosque, but ignore most of the protesters . To me, there's is an example of the general mindset of most Democratic political leaders.
Nothing; no destruction or trouble is every caused by Islam , the most warring, lying, intolerant and inhumane religion in the world, but only caused by a few radical Islamists who pervert that actual religion. How many times have we heard it ? Disgusting. Islam is rising--and America is sitting down for it.
Alaskan
how did your Wasilla rally go?
Do please let us know.
I prayed for you all at 11 pm on September 11 our time (which was about 4 or 5 in the morning on September 11, *your* time).
Then as soon as I woke up - at 5.30 am our time - I prayed for you all again, and said another prayer while I was in church at 8.30 am, because I reckoned you would all still be in NYC on September 11 afternoon.
Hope it all went well and that you got a good turnout. I read a copy of Mr Wilders' excellent speech, as reproduced on the New English Review blog. So good he could be there.
Excellent turnout. Inspirational and uplifting.
