Surprise, surprise: Iran interfering with UN monitoring of nuke program

Why, if the mullahs have nothing to hide? "UN nuke agency says monitoring of Iran is hampered," by George Jahn for Associated Press, September 6:

VIENNA - The U.N. atomic agency says its monitoring of Iran's nuclear activities is being hampered because Tehran objects to giving some agency inspectors access to its program.

The unusual warning is contained in a restricted report on Iran made available to The Associated Press.

It follows Iran's recent decision to strip two experienced inspectors of the right to monitor Tehran's nuclear activities after they reported undeclared nuclear experiments conducted by Tehran. Iran says the reporting by the two was inaccurate but the IAEA stands by their findings.

The report is being circulated to the IAEA's 35-nation board and to the U.N. Security Council. Iran says it wants to enrich to create energy. But enrichment can also create the fissile core of nuclear warheads....

Everyone will be really surprised when Tel Aviv is turned into an atomic crater.

The two inspectors have obviously discovered something they shouldn't have poked their inquisitive little noses into. The Iranians deny it and become offended: out they go and problem solved.
WMD is one we've heard before, and we know the trouble it leads to. And the reaction is: let's obey the dictates of diplomacy and political correctness, and act as if we are acting upon the report. Let's not get into that mess again, thanks awfully.

Actually this is one of the more worrying posts on Jihadwatch lately, implying that IAEA have been digging around but also that people here are afraid of the consequences.

Hey, I because the USA is the only nation to use nuclear weapons in war, we should monitor them too. Let monitors from the OIC send inspectors to your country and inspect your nuclear facilities.

Oh, you do not like that? Must be an evil plot on your part.

Oh, inspectors are very welcome to come to my country and inspect all and everything they like. I think we would except them to pay for accommodation and transport themselves though.
Our elected leaders are being accused of many things, but being "religious madmen" is not one of them. Nor do I believe they are threatening any other countries. If anything they are only too willing to play by the rules by f.ex. largely ignoring the threat of international Islamo-fascism.

You really are an ignorant little sneering know-it-all, Yusef. This is not a game of pretend and snide remarks.

Yusef, there is a big difference between those who have nuclear weapons today and Iran.
Ahmadinejad threatens the total destruction of Israel. DO you think he could achieve this with his crummy bombs? No, of course he couldn't achieve his goal without using a nuclear device - which is why all the secrecy to build one under our noses. If all this nuclear activity was innocent, do you think Iran would mind the west having a look at Iran's progress.
Ahmadinejad is considered a nut-case for many reasons. One is this waiting for the 12th Imam to appear; secondly is his denial of the Holocaust (lots of people liked tattooing numbers on their arms huh); thirdly his threats against the west.
Nuclear weapons in the hands of nutters scares people - and rightly so.

We have to accept the existence of nut-cases, they are here to stay and there is no denying it. We must learn to life with them while not submitting to them. "Hate" is a concept that is often used these days for some reason, and often projected unto others by those who suffer from it. And a nuclear weapons capability is even nastier and must be strictly controlled.
It's when the above three are combined into the one and same that I become seriously worried.
