Well, as for the comments on Christianity I'd just like to say this: Christianity as most know it is watered down. There are too many that do not read their own Bible and just go by what they hear when they go to church. And so many churches are simply teaching what people want to hear and it is a shame and doing a true diservice to Christians that do want to do the right thing. So, lets take a look at the issue of the "dancers" or "cheerleaders" or women in general...and what the Bible says...what is REALLY says...
This is a two way street and the responsibility goes on both the man and woman...

What is idolatry, making something your idol. This means anything that you place before God (even half naked women..if it takes you from Godliness)...

What is the woman's role:

In the Bible the words that is translated to modest is katastolh (katastole), and it means a long flowing garment. So to dress modestly means to wear a long flowing garment. The bible also says not to wear man's apparel. Why...well as McCalls magazine (which is not a christian magazine stated in an article) showing skin arouses men, the more skin shown towards the intimate areas including the groin, the more they are aroused. But don't we all know this is true without reading McCalls? If you have lived in this world, you know this is true. So women are to cover themselves in long flowing garments that do not show their curves...they are not to wear men's clothing because mens clothing (pants) shows the outline of their intimate parts and their curves. This causes arousal in which the Bible says we are not to arouse sexual desire until marriage and it also causes men to lust...which makes them commit adultery and adultery is a sin by God's standards. Lastly, the Bible says not to do anything that will cause another to stumble. If a women causes a man to lust, she has definately caused him to stumble.
In Isiah..God makes it known that to show your THIGH is to show shame..it is shameful...dressing in tight clothing is not shamefacedness...shamefacedness means not to draw attention to ones' self or body...In Timothy he calls women to dress with shamefacedness (not drawing attention to body).
All in all, she dressed this way...she is tempting and often causing a man to stumble, fall and commit adultery with her in his heart...this means, they both have committed adultery and both are responsible...
What does God say happens to those that commit adultery?
First, Leviticus shows us that stoning to death is the punishment for both the adulterer and adulterous...
Secondly, those engaged in such do not inherit God's Kingdom...they do not go to heaven...
In the book of John and James it makes it clear that if you do such things, then God is NOT in you!
The sad part is, you do not hear this taught to most Christians. For the most part, it is brushed off as being a man but that is NOT what Christ said AT ALL...in fact he said the oppostie. This whole sexual freedom is nothing but deceit from Satan that will keep many from going to heaven that believe they are going and that they are OKAY.
So while you think this is EXTREMIST of the Iranians, it isn't extreme..it is what we (EVEN AS CHRISTIANS) are called to do!! The difference? We aren't taught that, we havea allowed deceit and worldly flesh to convince us it is okay.
