OT, an "art" exhibit at a gallery in Loveland, CO, is drawing national attention for its display of a work -- drawn in the style of underground comics -- depicting Christ engaged in various sexual acts, which has drawn protests from some Christian groups. Predictably, most of the media reports defend the "artist's" right to free expression, and snear at the Christian protest.
However, not all of the displayed art is about Christ, and one panel clearly shows Mohammed -- yes, the prophet hisself -- in a brothel, about to engage the services of a pair of hookers, drawn as a pair of scantily-clad pigs. Hilariously, these comely young sows are dressed only in panties and several bras.
It will be interesting to see how fast the apologies come from the artist, the gallery, and the city authorities (it's a city-owned museum) when Moslems get wind of this "blasphemy" of the "prophet." The threats will come thick and fast, and the sponsons will beat a hasty retreat.

Having visited - and having contacts in - some of the areas affected, I can confirm that some parts of Bulgaria, particularly in the South, are sporting new Saudi-funded mosques and, er, 'community centres' (um..ring any bells?)

Also heard that in addition to the reports that have been published, in one of the towns affected, local Muslims were actively trying to prevent police access, in a raid early this morning.

They then complained of being Offended™, after the police left with books, videos, CDs and Arabic 'journals.

Wouldn't you be Offended™ too, if the pesky police made off with all your Wahhabist terror-incitement stash?

The Bulgarians have every reason to hate and despise Islam and to be rationally wary - very, very wary - of Muslims.

All one has to do is to re-read what the great 19th century British Prime Minister, William Gladstone, had to say about the Ottoman Turkish Muslim atrocities - mass murders, gang rapes followed by murder, and pillagings - that took place in Muslim-ruled Bulgaria during his time (1876).
