These are just a few of the death threats I've received over the past year (yes, I did get those last three all in one day). So what? Everyone who stands up against the jihadists and Islamic supremacists gets death threats. They are not noteworthy or newsworthy; they're just an occupational nuisance (and a clue as to the perpetrator -- whether he turns out to be the fellow in Maryland or someone else -- if one of these idiots follows through one day). The FBI has them. No big deal.
But when Daisy Khan, wife of the Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf of the Islamic supremacist mega-mosque at Ground Zero, announced on Christiane Amanpour's Sunday morning ABC News whitewash of Islamic jihad that she had been threatened, it was front page news all over the country -- see the New York Post and the New York Daily News for particularly egregious examples of the breathless, fawning coverage this alleged threat received.
Daisy Khan's statement was very strange. She said on Amanpour's show: "For the record, my life is under threat. Check with the Police Department. My husband's life is under threat. We do not walk around with bodyguards because we love this country." What does loving the country have to do with having bodyguards? The only sense one can make of her statement is if one realizes that she is referring to bodyguards paid for by the taxpayers, which she has foregone so as to save good honest Americans money. Indeed, earlier reports of death threats her husband received suggested that the NYPD was supplying him protection. No law enforcement agency, in contrast, has ever offered me or any other anti-jihadist ongoing protection at taxpayer expense.
But the main question, and principal double standard, here is this: why is Daisy Khan's claim to have received a death threat headline news, while death threats to cartoonist Molly Norris, which have driven her into hiding and led her to go so far as to assume a new identity, are not noted anywhere? Why are death threats to Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Geert Wilders, Wafa Sultan and others taken so much as a matter of course that the twenty-four hour guard under which the former two live is barely even noted by the media?
The answer is that this is yet another example of the Left's paternalism and ethnocentrism. The multiculturalist Left, allied with and aiding the global jihad, consistently holds those jihadis, and Muslims in general, to a lower moral standard than it demands of the West. So death threats to Daisy Khan and Feisal Abdul Rauf, if any have actually been made to them, are a kind of man-bites-dog story: even as the Left professes to love non-Western cultures, especially Islam, and to respect Muslims, it expects Muslims to threaten people like me, but is surprised when they themselves are threatened.
I say we should take a consistent stand against ethnocentrism everywhere. A death threat is a death threat. Daisy Khan's should be no more noteworthy than Molly Norris's. If the Left started holding Islamic supremacists to the same moral standard to which they hold the Westerners they despise, we might not be in the fix we're in.

The mortal threat to infidels in their own country over the words they've said posed by Muslim immigrants doesn't fit the narrative or augment the arguments of the multicultural Left, so there is a veritable and willful policy to black-out the information. I thought that it was a crime to threaten another person’s life. My question is: if the FBI has enough information to advise Molly Norris to go into hiding, why aren’t those who threatened her under arrest? While its possible for a lone nut to make a threat, isn’t it as likely that others are working together to try to kill her? And if so, isn’t that conspiracy to commit a crime?
Perhaps Anwar al-Awlaki, the despicable cleric who is supposed to have issued a fatwa against Norris can claim he was speaking “poetically,” or “metaphorically”; but it seems criminal to me – even if it is religious speech.
Why not send the FBI to arrest Awlaki from his wretched house in Yemen and put him on trial and let him use all the twisted religious justification he can? Yes, I am an attorney but am not presently a practicing one. I teach instead. It's my understanding that in federal law and virtually all state jurisdictions that death threats are actionable and not protected by the First Amendment, so personally I think it would be a highly effective (and legal) approach to prosecute Muslims who are here in America and can be identified who make death threats against anyone for insulting, mocking or criticizing Islam or Mohammed.
This would be one way to begin "containing" Islam and letting Muslims know that at least in America they can go only so far with their religion but that certain lines must not be crossed or they will be prosecuted. As for Muslims overseas, this complicates things a great deal, but I'd be satisfied with just dealing with the Muslim jokers here in this country.

I think what I am trying to point out with this post and my last few is that religious supporters of Rauf should not automatically confer legitimacy on the mad Imam.
In fact, doing a little background reading on these "friends of Rauf" reveals they are not exactly mainstream.
Rather, they are: defenders of Scientology, or the Unification Church, or defenders of the Flying Imams, or advocates of Hamas, or involved in eroding Christian tradition, or in some other way NOT mainstream.
For someone with zero leadership skills, Rauf has accomplished a lot. He can include giving the term "Interfaith" a bad name to his resume.
This writer has an interesting idea of what may happen; that Rauf will suddenly see the light and make Park51 an Interfaith center.

Yusef YK's failure to produce information to back up his claim exposes his true colour. He and people like him though they are nuisance, cannot be ignored as they intend to cause confusion and harm wherever they can. They need to be challenged, held accountable, exposed of their lies and if/when necessary, excluded.
I don't know if you will get to read this comment, but as of October 1st, in the state of Florida it is now a felony to threaten anyone via internet or any other form of electronic communication.
This issue just came up becuase congressional cadidate Allen West received a number of death threats, by " Al Jazeera English Says", posted in the comment section of the West Palm Post on 9/27/10, just prior to the law going into effect.
Just to underscore my point from above, if one reads the CNN story about Rauf avoiding New York, it is revealed that Rabbi Ronaldo Matalon is a friend of Rauf.

I hope you file a complaint with the police department every time you receive a death threat and make it public record. I hope you hire ex-special forces to watch out for you, as jihadist camps include training received from U.S. Special Forces. I hope you have hidden cameras on your person and in your home and vehicle and office which emails images for quick turnover to the police, to your web site, and to Ms. Geller's web site. I hope you have an attorney lined up to defend you against deceit (tagiyya) and ready to prosecute those who would try to enforce Sharia law on you.
