Sharia-compliant burqa-clad Muslim superheroes kids' show coming to U.S.

Making the West safe for Sharia: see, kids? Burqas aren't "cloth coffins," as Pamela Geller vividly calls them. They're fully compatible with superhero status. Oh, and with free society, also? Have to get back to you on that! "Trading cape for the burqa," by Andrea Peyser in the New York Post, October 11 (thanks to Weasel Zippers):

Hide your face and grab the kids. Coming soon to a TV in your child's bedroom is a posse of righteous, Sharia-compliant Muslim superheroes -- including one who fights crime hidden head-to-toe by a burqa.

These Islamic butt-kickers are ready to bring truth, justice and indoctrination to impressionable Western minds.

Scheduled for release on the new network The Hub -- formerly Discovery Kids -- which launches today (Time Warner and DirecTV carry it in the city), is a cartoon beloved in the Arab world and received timidly in Britain last year, "The 99."

The program chronicles the adventures of 99 superheroes, each of whom embodies an attribute of Allah.

Jabbar is a Muslim Incredible Hulk. Mumita is wicked fast. But Wonder Woman-style cleavage has been banned from the ladies. And, in this faith-based cartoon, hair-hiding head scarves are mandatory for five characters, not including burqa babe Batina the Hidden.

In another break from standard world-saving fare, male and female characters are never alone together. (Imagine the stoning super-strong characters would dish out.) "The 99" even has the seal of approval of a Sharia board -- which polices Muslim law -- affiliated with an Islamic bank from which the show received financing.

What a great time to come to the United States!

No higher an authority than President Obama praised the work of the comic's creator, Kuwaiti psychologist Naif al-Mustawa. At an April meeting with Arab entrepreneurs, Obama said, "His superheroes embody the teachings of the tolerance of Islam." [...]

How can a secular nation endorse a children's show aimed at pushing one religion?

A Times of London columnist wrote last year that the show's mission was "to instill old-fashioned Islamic values in Christian, Jewish and atheist children."...

"...one who fights crime hidden head-to-toe by a burqa."

What's she doing out of the house? And she's going to kick your butt, how? Try doing a round kick under a bedspread. She'll be dead by the time she pulls up her skirts to get her leg out. Or will she simply melt your brain with her all encompassing hate of anything non-Muslim?

I bet all the criminals they are fighting are kufr criminals...
So they are doing Allah's work, as jihadi's furthering the causes of Allah...This brainwashing of kufr children should not be allowed...

Perhaps it's time for a Muslim reality show that would rebut the nonsense that this cartoon show is promoting. It could show mom plodding along some dusty road in Iraq at a snail's pace, loaded down with grocery bags (maybe she's actually Palestinian,) her vision and breathing impaired, then going home and having her son boss her around and ignore her when she asks him politely to take out the trash and then having hubby come home in a foul mood because the nubile 17 year old that came into buy gas for her new birthday car blew him off and didn't acquiesce when he asked for her phone number. It can show him bashing her head into the double oven because he wanted spaghetti for dinner that night, not the roast beef and potatoes she made him. Yeah, there's your Super Woman wannabe.

Isn't one of allah's 99 names The Deceiver?

great values...

Hello Mr. Spencer!
while I agree with you that Obama should have never endorsed this program, I was wondering if yourself has seen any episodes of this cartoon. I am the head of sales for a major entertainment company here in New York and we distribute a lot of kids programing. Kids programings are the least profitable of all Television programings. for an owner/producer of a cartoon program to by on Discovery kid or on Cartoon network is a dream come true, in fact you could compare thos dream to a muslim's dream of meeting 7 virgins in heaven! while some of these cartoons one episode where commonly known as a 30 minutes, are only 24 minutes can cost up to $250,000 to make the profit margin is very low. what the producers and broadcasters in this case discovery is hoping for is a mega hit such as Pokemon which is a 22 billion dollar property. if this is the case there is more money to be made in licensungdeal than god! that is their hope. Dicovery as whole which is running by Mr. Zazlow is the most succesful cable operation. so whatvere this muslim cartoon is, it is a business decision that they think is going to payoff. other wise Discovery and the rest of them don't give a shit about Islam. they think they have a hit.is there actually a dialogue whitin this progarm that praises islam and muslims? or are they conveying a message through their image about Islam? if I had to bet my money I would say there is no such a dialogue otherwise the bad PR they will recieving will make them take it off of the air.
m

Wow,so Discover is gonna jam Islam down our throats of our children with their Muzzie cartoons.

And oh you can bet it's a political and not a business decision given the timing of it. I suspect Mr. Zazlow is another limousine liberal and is doing his part to help make the monster mosque in NYC a reality by whitewashing Islam.

Bleeearrgggg! [sound of retching] It actually makes you nostalgic for Captain Planet and the Planeteers...

But Wonder Woman-style cleavage has been banned from the ladies.

Though not in the mahoundian cartoon itself, Wonder Woman's old cleavage has been banned for Wonder Woman herself in order to make her 'more palatable to "global audiences".' You simply cannot make such stuff up.

Here's burqa babe herself, Battina the Hidden from Yemen:

http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_8I-GsaVJyF4/SzipybRJH5I/AAAAAAAACNs/TemkejXFMlc/s400/Battina-the-Hidden-comic--012.jpg

Why Battina wasn't "married off" at 8-years-old like so many other Yemeni girls is anyone's guess. Some of the other "99" epithets of Allah include al-mudhil ("the Humiliator"), al-khafid ("the Abaser"), and al-darr ("the Harmer").

Fighting for Taqiyya, Shari'ah, and Jihad in the Way of Allah...

Now you realize if a network Discover were to try to air a Christian themed super hero show with characters named from the Bible, every secular and atheist organization would go batshit crazy suing them.

But since it's just Muslims trying to instill Islamic values into our children, it's ok.

Lol ! They will probably add in a villain called " Spencerman "...

This is cultural jihad! Note the slow introduction of halal food on airlines, and 70% of meat from New Zealand is halal.

This is a subtile and insideous way to brainwash young people into accepting islamic themes. Thye present these heroes as normal everyday people.

It will not be on for very long I'm sure...I mean really They will probably get the villans by suicide bombing an there you have it ....end of cartoon..LOL

ROFLMAO @ "Spencerman"!! ha ha ha...

That's a handle that should stick!

Did anybody read the comments on the youtube page? The sheeple are ALL FOR IT.

How can Americans just roll over and take this?

@miriam, old chap, when you quip that ''there is more money to be made in licesung[sic] deal than god'', you do display for all the world to see a grosser stupidity than sheer nakedness.

"The 99" is a terrible name for a TV show. I suggest they choose one of these instead:

"Allah My Children."
"Scooby Dawa"
"Fatwa Knows Best"
"Mickey Mosque Club"
"Hudud's the Boss?
"Moroc and Mindy"
"I Dream of Djinn"

why do you have to be ugly? this is a forum and I am posting something that is relavent.
m

If they don't use your idea, they might use Darth Spencer.

Excellent !

There are a lot of other villains to choose from, and the possibilities are endless.

Look out for any hint that one of these master villians are jews or jew substitutes. Obviously Spencernan and Gellerwoman are enticing possible villians for this taqya cartoon.

The simple fact that Islam is founded on second-hand revelations by the quasi-religious equivalent of second-hand car salesman means that The Truth is Islam's kryptonite.

And there's no antidote to The Truth. It's pure - the opposite of everything Islam is.

Hmmm... how about Geert er' done Wilders?

Gellerwoman - that's funny, Lol..

But I did wonder how the Jews would fit into all of this.

Will the Islamic Super heroes use their powers to overthrow the Zionist entity, and restore peace on earth by helping to establish a caliphate ?

Sounds logical to me.

Lot's of creative scenarios, as well as characters.

Maybe we could send them some old episodes of "Davey & Goliath"....of course we'll have to erase the dog first.

"A Times of London columnist wrote last year that the show's mission was "to instill old-fashioned Islamic values in Christian, Jewish and atheist children."..."

I wonder if this might not be a response to the fact that virtually all Western cartoon characters were created by atheists, Christians and (especially) Jews. Superman of course was created by Jews. So was Batman. And Spiderman. And the X-Men.

What's also funny is how The Simpsons (many of those behind the show are Jews) has to be sanitized before being shown in some Middle Eastern countries. Homer's love of ham and beer are clearly out.

"Old fashioned Islamic values"? No thanks.

buraq, you got it good. . .

... Obama said, "His superheroes embody the teachings of the tolerance of Islam."

*** 9:29 ***

Maybe Prez Barack oughta crack a damned book. I have one in mind:

Fight those who do not believe in Allah, nor in the latter day, nor do they prohibit what Allah and His Messenger have prohibited, nor follow the religion of truth, out of those who have been given the Book, until they pay the tax in acknowledgment of superiority and they are in a state of subjection.

Tolerance indeed. Religion of Truth my ass. It's about as truthful as it is peaceful.

This reminds me of that Palestinian kids show in which a Mickey Mouse knockoff shows kids how to use an AK 47 to "martyr themselves" and kill "Jewish pigs". Kind of funny but also very sad.

Something tells me one of the villains will be a long nosed bespectacled vampire that is very rich and drinks the blood of innocent Muslim children. You get 'im 99!

What rot, though it may be effective rot where young minds full of mush are concerned. Many could be easily swayed by this clever way to indoctrinate youth before it can think for itself. Watched the entire seven minutes and fifteen seconds which Zulu provided a link for. Reminded me of those unbearably handsome and beautiful Aryan youth that Nazis put forth in print and film. It's one thing to have true superheroes like Superman and Batman (before political correctness of course), who upheld the American way, truth and justice and other good things but to use animation to slyly promote a religious ideology which would crush democracy, freedom of speech and equality under the law is just awful, but so very, very totalitarian and so very, very Muslim.

I might add that this series is ripe for parody, but, of course, one would do this at a risk since Muslims are the adults who refuse to grow up and regularly throw lethal hissy fits. Still, would love to see a South Park parody of this warped, agenda-driven animation but that's not going to happen, now is it?

It's no Veggietales.

Why don't they combine the program with illegal immigration, starting each segment with everyone flying across the rio grande on carpets, then flapping their burkhas in the wind to help them leap over our fence?

Ripe for parody? It's already parody. It's its own reductio ad absurdum, a cartoon aping the West whose message is the destruction of the West, it's like "Chocolate Producers of the World Against Diabetes".

You have a point but still I'd like to see what the creators of South Park could do with this. Fully unleashed (which is to say completely free from fear of Muslim death threats), they would probably have you in tears you'd be laughing so hard. But it ain't gonna' happen.

Has Western Civilization completely lost its mind?

hmmm Islamic super villians?....Geert Hornet, Queen Ali, the Weasel Zipper, Bushman, Walid Surfer, Super Hugh, drone master, any intelligent Muslim woman?.....

No way, Paul! Don't you know Robert is already "Freakin' Batman"?

http://www.jihadwatch.org/2005/06/a-word-from-a-student-of-omid-safi.html

The chief nemesis for the 99?

How about The Legion of Pork, led by Brigadier Bacon and Sergeant Sausage?

LOL !

Thanks for that link, Graven - Such a memory you have ! I got a laugh out of it, although I thought that I was being original.

Looks like someone revealed Mr. Spencers secret identity six years ago...

I doubt the people behind it care if it makes a dime in profits. They have enough Saudi petro-dollars to throw around to push their indoctrination any way they can. Their aim is simply to make Islam look cool so parents can't fight against it without the kids wondering why they are? I think they are doing a number from the Progressive Playbook. Infiltrate from cradle to grave in all aspects where you can influence their decision making about Islam.

I just can't imagine what this is going to be like.

On their "official" website www.THE99.org, there's a gallery of the comic characters.

They're generally not a very islamic looking bunch, so the less progressive imams will be upset. Some of the boys have no beards (? ghilman) and many have trouser legs too long to be righteously emulating the prophet. Oh, and not one of them is named Mohammed - an average bunch of mo'slims then. Also, the girls are mostly showing hair (tut tut) and only one is modest enough to wear a face mask. One of the principal characters works for UNESCO - that figures.

I can't wait for the theological discussions on merchandising the action figures. How Islamic will they be?

Looking at the trailer, I don't see this as Jihad so much as 1001 Arabian Nights meets Ninja Turtles.

OK, for me the big question is, what is the equivalent of Kryptonite? That's what I want to know.

I'm curious if the more extremist Muslim groups will ban the program, Allah does not share power. I like how in the YouTube ad they have the dome of knowledge, only if the knowledge is a small bookcase with the Quran, Hadiths and the Kitab At Tawid.

You can see this joker on Ted dressed as a sheik.

http://www.ted.com/speakers/naif_al_mutawa.html

When I saw the trailer it looked exactly like stealth jihad in order to indoctrinate the young and the naive. In fact if you look at the comments they're almost all positive. They're building a group of future useful idiots, appeasers , apologists and abettors.

I think it's brilliant. I'm always amazed at the tenacity and guile of the stealth jihadists. They always find another point of attack and they NEVER give up!

Check out "Buraq's comment at 12:39

"...The Truth is Islam's kryptonite."

I agree completely and add that getting it out there to the general public is paramount.

"...The Truth is Islam's kryptonite."

That's an awesome comment, and so true ...

Is it just me or would an analogy of Star Trek The Next Generation... The Borgs..."resistance is futile" be an appropriate approximation of the type of message the islamisists are hoping to convey to the infidel west?

The stealth jihadists forgot just one thing... we haven't played cowboys and muzzies yet! Now that would be a great South Park episode, sorry Kenny you'd probably be the first to go!

Is there anyone out there who can make drawings of a hero in a burqa breaking up rapes, child molestations, stonings, hangings, and someone's limbs being chopped off?

Maybe it can be done in a "strip format", i.e. as a comic strip. My art is about the level of stick drawings. Would you let me know; maybe I could put my name on it?

Question....What about the notion that it is wrong to draw the likeness of people? How does this cartoon square with that piece of islamic law?

Can someone answer that?

And thanks to the link, I was able to see the sheer stupidity and boring portrayal of these so-called "superheroes." My children would not spend a minute watching it.

as I mentioned, this is purely a cartoon and a CGI and has nothing to do with teaching of Islam.
please go to:
tvkids@worldscreen.com and see the trailer. it is 7 minutes long and it is the same old bull shit. good guy and bad guy, evil and good etc... the same thing you will see on ant other kids programing.
m

Well Miriam, as Robert might say, you said it.

did you go to that site and see the trailer?
