It should be front-page news in every newspaper in the country: Seattle cartoonist Molly Norris has given up her job, her home, and even her identity because of death threats for Islamic supremacists. That Islamic jihadists can force an American citizen into hiding for exercising her freedom of speech is bad enough; that her cause has aroused only indifference from the media and the nation's leading officials is even worse.Norris was a popular cartoonist for the Seattle Weekly. Her life changed forever a few months ago when she announced "Everybody Draw Mohammed Day" on Facebook. It was a lark, but with a serious point about violent threats and intimidation: if Islamic supremacists were threatening to murder European cartoonists Kurt Westergaard and Lars Vilks because of their cartoons of Muhammad, and anyone else who dared to draw him, then if everyone drew him, the thugs couldn't possibly kill us all, could they?
And now Norris herself has become a living illustration of how right her point was in the first place, and yet the political and media elites are not standing with her. "On the insistence of top security specialists at the FBI," the Seattle Weekly explained, "she is, as they put it, 'going ghost': moving, changing her name, and essentially wiping away her identity. She will no longer be publishing cartoons in our paper or in City Arts magazine, where she has been a regular contributor. She is, in effect, being put into a witness-protection program-except, as she notes, without the government picking up the tab."
This is in sharp contrast to the Ground Zero mosque Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, who is receiving protection from the New York City Police Department because of threats he has allegedly received. In even sharper contrast, Gainsville, Florida authorities have announced that they plan to bill the abortive Koran-burner Terry Jones $180,000 for security costs for the Koran-burning event that he ultimately called off after a blizzard of international publicity, all negative - despite the fact that they never bothered to warn Jones beforehand that he would be footing the bill....

That Molly Norris has to give up her identity and go into hiding in the United States of America, the land of the First Amendment, is the shame of all levels of government.
I think I may just write a letter to AG Holder and ask why the FBI hasn't been put to work investigating the Jihadists.

I think it's quite clear why Terry Jones received so much publicity from the media, and the Molly Norris story didn't. Terry Jones is EXACTLY the caricature of an "Islamophobe" that the left-leaning MSM wants. He's a fundamentalist Christian who wants to burn books. This is precisely the story that the mainstream press wants to tell: the only people who really have a conflict with Islam are intolerant, right-wing Christian nutcases. This is the Gospel of Holy Multiculturalism, and they believe it deserves to be plastered all over the front page.
The fact that a left-leaning cartoonist might face death threats from Islam---well, that doesn't fit into the mainstream media narrative, so that story doesn't really have any legs.

If Jones didn't ask for police presence I see no reason he should have to pay.The way I understand it, Gainsville police took it upon themselves to basically surround his church even after he called off the burning and flew to NYC. There was nothing going on and still they sent dozens of police cars and personel to his church. That was their decision, not his.
As for Molly Norris, she had a newpaper at her disposal, why not use it?
She could have easily continued working for the paper long enough to inflame her audience and forced authorities to have her back. IF her editor would have allowed it that is. If not there are other ways to reach out to the audience.
I believe the Gov has a resposibility to protect it's citizens, but at this point it is up to us to force them to uphold the oath they took to do so.

A: YES! Those who burn Korans or draw cartoons of Muhammad are sending a message that free speech is sacred and free people are not going to allow Islamic intimidation to shut it down.
Pamela, Robert, David, Geert, and others are great spokesmen for the effort to inform people of the dangers of Islam, and they have pointed out that we, the people, having the right to free speech, also have the right to draw cartoons of anything we want to, including the warrior Muhammad, as well as the right to burn anything we want to, including the right to burn Mein Kampf or my Koran.

Stories like this one make me wonder if we really should worry too much about whether or not sharia will capture the nation because it looks like it's already a done deal. One very small point, here—Molly Norris was coming to the defense of South Park animators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, who received death threats themselves for their depiction (actually, non-depiction) of the "Prophet" Muhammed. I'm not sure Ms. Norris was even aware of the situation with the MoToon cartoonists or artist Lars Vilks.
This just shows *how many* artists are being threatened by Shari'ah, though.
Parker and Stone haven't, to my knowledge, come to Molly Norris' defense, either. That they may still be facing death threats from the members of the "Religion of Peace" may be a mitigating factor in their lying low, though.

Her News Weekly features some gal named Ranyah Ghussein who was gushing about the women who showed up in Burqas to protest Hirsi Ali the other day. The article basically stated that Hirsi Ali wasn't sufficiently Muslim enough to know what she was talking about, then proceeded to lead readers to think the only reason Hirsi Ali is doing this is for money. I wish I had saved the article as it was a really bad hatchet job and pure example of Taqiyya by a "moderate" muslim.
Needless to say I repied on their messages boards and ripped the article to shreds. The article is no longer posted and I'm sure they will say its because of "hatefilled" comments. In reality, I counter all her points and she was left looking pretty bad. Not once in her entire article did she address any of the points that Hirsi Ali made. Not once did she agree that Women are treated badly in Muslim countries. Even in countries like Iran where women are stoned to death sometimes based on heresy and not objective facts.
Given that her co-workers were Muslims of this nature, I don't blame her for not even attempting to speak out via the news weekly.
Episodes like the Molly Norris one form a part of a larger, slowly developing hatred of Islam by the bulk of the citizenry in America and other Western nations. Muslims keep pushing the envelope and eventually they will push too far and then the backlash will be huge---titanic in fact. Also, today's pathetic elites, in politics, the media and academia will be looked upon almost like Quislings future generations from now. Yep, still developing.

There was no debate to speak of except for one on "Islamophobia" with brief reference to the unfortunate case of a New York cab driver stabbed for being Muslim and "300 Muslim died in 9/11" (The number seems to be inflated, though I'm not sure), "Halal replacing Kosher" pita place, etc. NOTHING substantive. Why pretend there is honest discussion or debate on real issues, not self defensive stories already recycled to death in the mainstream media?

The United States 'government' is actually the United States Corporation. It was created behind the screen of a 'Federal Government' when, after the manufactured 'victory' in the American War on 'Independence', the British colonies exchanged overt dictatorship from London for the far more effective covert dictatorship that has been in place ever since.
In effect, the Virginia Company, the corporation headed by the British Crown that controlled the 'former' colonies, simply changed its name to the United States of America and other related pseudonyms. This is an accurate title given that one is the names for the Corporation is the 'United States'. He or she is not the President of the people or the country as they are led to believe - that's just the smokescreen.
This means that Bush launched a 'war on terrorism' on behalf of a private Corporation to further the goals of that Corporation. It had nothing to do with 'America' or 'Americans', because these are very different legal entities. It is the United States Corporation, not the 'government', which owns the United States military and everything else that comes under the term 'federal'. The privately-owned Corporation called the United States is the holding company, if you like, and the fifty states are its subsidiaries.
You may have noticed that the national flag of the United States always has a gold fringe when displayed in court or federal buildings, and you see this also in federally-funded schools and on the uniforms of US troops. Americans think that their government and legal system is pegged in some way to the Constitution, but it is not. The United States, like Britain and elsewhere, is ruled by commercial law to overcome the checks and balances of common law. It's another monumental fraud. The US court system does not operate under the American Constitution, but under corporate law. It is the law of contracts and you have to make a contract with the Corporation for that law to legally apply to you.
The scam has been set up so that when you register with the 'Federal Government' in any way, by accepting a Social Security Number, driver's license, or any of the other official federal documents, you are, unknowingly, contracting to become an asset-employee of the United States Corporation...Every word, or use of lower/upper case, is making a legal statement. Have you noticed that when you receive correspondence relating to government, law and anything to do with finance, including taxation, your name is always spelt in all upper case, as in BILL JONES?
But your upper case name is not you. It is a corporation/trust set up by the 'government' Corporation through the treasury department at your birth. Every time a child is born a corporation/trust is created using his or her name in all upper case. So BILL JONES is what they call a 'straw man', a corporate, not human, entity. They do it this way because governments are corporations and they operate under commercial law, the law of contracts. The laws passed by governments only apply to corporations and not to living, breathing, flesh and blood, sovereign, free men and women spelt in upper and lower case, or all lower case, as with Bill Jones, or bill jones. The living, breathing sovereign man and woman is subject to common law, not eh commercial law introduced by governments through legislation.
Using commercial law makes it much easier to install an 'elected' dictatorship. Unlike common law, you are not subject to precedents built up over centuries. You simply have to get a majority to vote for a bill in Parliament of Congress, or have the US President sign a document, and the law is imposed. What you also have to do - clearly not difficult - is to keep from the people the knowledge that their name in all upper case is not them. They will then pay you taxes and be subject to your jurisdiction and control in all areas of their lives, by unknowingly standing surety for the corporation - 'BILL JONES' - that they don't even know exists.
All court documents have the person's name in all upper case because under the law of contracts the living, breathing being cannot be tried under corporate law, only a corporate entity can. It is so crazy that Americans pay personal income tax to the government (corporation) via the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) when the law to introduce personal income tax was never passed. Ask anyone from the US government or IRS to produce the law that says Americans must pay income tax on their wages and they will not be able to do it. Many have tried and the law has never been revealed because it doesn't exist...A $50,000 reward was offered by the We The People organization to anyone who could produce the law and IRS agent, Sherry Jackson, thought it would be easy money. She then found out that there was no law and resigned to become a campaigner against this fantastic hoax...

If you need assistance, the Atlantic Monthly article I linked to details the obvious issues with this supposed "Al Qaeda" magazine. Why do you accept whatever crude propaganda that is presented to you, but then you need "PROOF" to ignore it? What would constitute proof to you that this article and magazine are Usrael's propaganda? If Awlaki denied making the death threat, would you accept that as proof? I doubt it. You will accept the most baseless accusation that supports your views, but will accept nothing that goes against them. If Al Qaeda put out this magazine, then more should be coming, right? The next one should be here, and it is not. When quarter after quarter goes by and new issues do not appear, will you accept that as proof that this issue is bogus and was simply fabricated as a source of a media onslaught?
