COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- A blogger championing the case of a Muslim-to-Christian convert from Ohio says allegedly defamatory comments she's being sued over were protected free speech.
Atlas Shrugs blogger Pamela Geller also says many of the postings singled out in a federal lawsuit could fall into the realm of hyperbole and not defamation.
Geller says in a federal court filing Tuesday that she is a journalist writing about a matter of public interest and is protected by the First Amendment.
Pamela comments: "Tarazi's lawsuit is an embarrassment to the legal profession. Apart from being factually wrong, his emails are riddled with spelling errors. He exhibits little knowledge of procedure and less of rule of law. One has to wonder how these incompetents pass the bar."

Its incredible that our politicians are so hell-bent on destroying everything good about this country. Man this world does'nt look right... something big feels like its going to happen.... I just hope that we (Americans) wake up soon and start changing this crap.... for the benefit of the next generation. Trouble is, you need to be articulate and au fait with the law in all its detail to tackle Islam in any realistic sense. I spoke to Mark Durie years ago about wanting to challenge the Koran via the Religious and Racial Vilification Act years ago and he said for sure it won't work...they will say the Bible is the same. Although it is not true that the Bible is the same, I can imagine being utterly intimidated by lawyers with that argument. And Muslims seem to have access to funds that we don't.

IT'S TIME TO TAKE A STAND! It's time for freedom-minded people around the world to take a stand against the attack on free speech by Muslims. So, here's a Q&A and a plea for action:
Q: Is there justification for burning Korans, drawing cartoons of Muhammad, having shadow puppet shows that Muslims don't like, showing films like "Fitna" and "The Stoning of Soraya M", and TV shows like South Park?
A: YES! Those who do so are sending a message that free speech is sacred and free people are not going to allow Islamic intimidation to shut it down.
Pamela Geller, Robert Spencer, David Horowitz, Geert Wilders, and others are great spokesmen for the effort to inform people of the dangers of Islam, and they have pointed out that we, the people, because we have the right to free speech, have the right to draw cartoons of anything we want to, including the warrior Muhammad, as well as the right to burn anything we want to, including the right to burn Mein Kampf or my Koran.
But, they also need to promote the EXERCISE of free speech (draw Muhammad days, Koran burning days, "International Free Speech Day", etc) to remind free people that we must take ACTION to protect the freedom of speech. Just as the muscles of the body must be exercised in order to maintain vitality, free speech must also be exercised. As the saying goes: USE IT OR LOSE IT!!!
Whenever and however they're done, the events need participation by as many people as possible so that Muslims and the MSM can't focus their ire on any one person, as they did with the minister in Florida.
