The search for some explanation, any explanation, for Mohamed Mohamud's attempted jihad mass-murder other than the texts and teachings of Islam has now begun in earnest. The first entry: Mohamud became "radicalized" after his parents split.
And it's true: the divorce of parents has driven many an unhappy child to try to set off a bomb in a crowded place and murder hundreds, if not thousands, of people, hasn't it?
Of course, many more terrorist attacks have been committed by Islamic jihadists who read and took seriously the Qur'an's commands to wage war against infidels than by children traumatized by their parents' divorce, but never mind: when it comes to exonerating Islam of any responsibility for motivating violent jihadists, government, law enforcement and media officials join Islamic spokesmen in grabbing hold of any alternative explanation, no matter how implausible.

Mohamud's family moved to the U.S. when he was just 5 and were described as friendly and modern.
Mariam Barre did not wear a hijab and her husband, Osman Barre, reportedly worked as an engineer for Intel. Mohamud appeared to be particularly close to his mother, neighbors said.
"She always talked so good about him. He was just a good kid," said Adam Napier's mother, Stephanie.
In 2009, Mohamud parents split up, not long after he turned 18, the paper said.
Omar Jamal, first secretary to the Somali Mission to the United Nations, told KPTV that Mohamud's father had remarried a woman in Minneapolis, which has a large Somali population and has been a hotbed for jihadist recruitment.
Later in 2009, Mohamud began communicating with jihadists abroad, and wrote articles for a website called "Jihad Recollections," authorities said....
There you go!

People can make excuses as they might, but had this young miscreant been anything but a Muslim, the chances he would have sought the death and carnage of others at Christmas time, or at any time, would have been practically nonexistent.
Islam produces a disease of the mind. No longer can non-foolish and informed minds doubt this. No, not in every Muslim does such theological aberrancy exist, but only because such Muslims let their humanity triumph over a most inhumane religious creed or because they're lazy or both.
Islam is diametrically opposite to mankind at its best, at its noblest. One knows this or should know it. Eventually most everyone will (the bulk of the Western elites destined to being the last to comprehend this to be sure). But, before this reality sets in in the body politic at large, a great deal of carnage will occur, compliments of Mohammed, surely one of the most terrible human beings who ever lived.
There's only one way to deal with totalitarian ideologies, like Islam, Marxism and fascism. Despise them and do all in one's power to defeat them.
So the reason for his treacherous attempt to kill Americam men, women and their children was the grief felt over his parents breakup. How sad!

Yet, in the previous JihadWatch article, he stated he had been planning murder since he was 15 years old.

Surely this upstanding example of such a desirable import would never deign to tell a 'porkie'?
This unworthy infidel must have misread, or misunderstood the superior brainpower of that servant of Ali-Allah.
Now the Moslems fear a backlash about a rather odd and convenient fire that destroyed only the interior of the one office, without tripping fire alarms and which consumed possible sensitive records and rather nasty anti-infidel literature.
Not accusing anyone connected with the mosque, as it might have been an outside job. A full investigation by the FBI, Police, Fire Brigade and forensic chappies will be takening place, will it not. Well, will it?
I had friends whose parents were divorced. It was not easy for the kids (or the parents). Still, I never knew any of them to suddenly join a religious fanatic cult and want to blow something up. Nor did my friends believe that God would even want you to blow things up. It says a lot about Mohamud's religious beliefs, that this is what he thinks God wants from him. Now that's a definition of happiness I've never seen in the dictionary.
MM's parents are divorcing? I could understand marital tensions arising, given who their offspring is- each parent would want to blame the other for having produced this excrescence- but I'm sure they'll all find some way to blame the Jews for all their problems. They always do.
